Hello friends, welcome to Shampa’s Kitchen. Today I will make Dalia/Porridge. Here is the tasty breakfast Dalia recipe in Bengali. It is very easy breakfast recipe / tiffin recipe for weight loss. So, watch our Diet food recipe and must try this at home.
Ingredients of Diet food Dalia Khichuri :
1. Dalia/Porridge ( 1 cup).
2. Moong dal ( ½ cup).
3. Refined oil.
4. Bay leaf ( 1 pcs).
5. Dry red chili.
6. Cumin seed ( ½ tbsp).
7. Chopped carrot, beans, potato, cauliflower.
8. Salt.
9. Cumin powder ( 1 tbsp).
10. Turmeric powder ( ½ tbsp).
11. Ginger paste. ( 1 tbsp).
12. Green chili.
13. Garam masala powder ( ¼ tbsp).
Methods of how to make Dalia Khichdi:
1. First take 1 cup Dalia in a bowl and wash it with water. Wash 2-3 times with water and then leave it in fresh water for some time.
2. Heat a pan and add ½ cup moong dal. Fry it medium flame until the dal fragrance comes out. Put off the gas oven and take the dal in a separate bowl. Wash the fried moong dal with water 2-3 times.
3. Now heat a kadai and add 1 tbsp refined oil and spread it.
4. Add 1 bay leaf, 1 dry red chili, ½ tbsp Cumin seed. Fry it 15-20 seconds.
5. Add chopped carrot, beans, potato, cauliflower. Fry it 2-3 minutes in medium to high flame.
6. Add salt and again stir it well.
7. Add 1 tbsp cumin powder, ½ tbsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp Ginger paste, add little water and mix it well in low flame.
8. Add moong dal now, and mix it well for 2-3 minutes.
9. Now add water and leave it for some times.
10. When the water start boiling add green chili. And cover it for 10 minutes.
11. After 10 minutes add Dalia, mix it well and add salt. Cover it for 5 minutes in low flame.
12. After open the cover add ¼ tbsp Garam masala powder. Mix it well.
13. Serve hot Dalia at breakfast, lunch or dinner.
