    Mounting a radiant heater next to a refrigerator is a bit ironic. A reflective barrier on that side of the fridge might be worthwhile.
    (Perhaps that's what the pin-board is. Hard to tell.)

    Great review as usual James, I was looking buy a Ximax 1800x600 from S Fix but saw this video and you guys have a Duratherm which is better priced! 😊 quick question…I have this being installed on hollow wall in the kitchen so think single rad might be better than the dual as it’s twice the weight at nearly 50kg! Is there much more output in the dual (I guess it’s twice the capacity logically) I’m just concerned about the weight more than anything. Output seems ok on this one too. Cheers Jamie

    • @plumbworldYT
      @plumbworldYT  7 месяцев назад

      Thank you for your message, Jamie. For double panel radiators, we would advise a solid wall installation, unless you also purchase the legs to also mount them on. The output will vary depending on style but for example, an 1800x600mm oval tube radiator would kick out approximately 7800BTU (@delta 50) and a single would do approximately 4000BTU (@delta 50). If you are unsure at all we would suggest getting advice from a qualified heating professional as projects will vary from one to another.

    • @plumbworldYT
      @plumbworldYT  Год назад

      Hi, thank you for your query.
      Unfortunately, we can't comment on your exact issue and we would always recommend finding a local tradesman to take a look before making any purchases.
      If it is a case of just providing additional heating to your downstairs then higher BTU radiators or underfloor heating are great solutions. Underfloor heating is perfect for warming rooms from the floor up, and fitting it with the right insulation will ensure heat is sent in the right direction.

    Hi James. I'm completely lost with these online BTU calculators as I cannot find any that work. None I've found seem to consider EWI or rooms with PIR board on the outside walls and ceilings.
    Also, 150mm full-filled cavities aren't even considered separate to old 50mm insulated cavities.... they are all bunched up under the same category.
    I'm looking to fit these myself but I need to buy the right radiators.... help!
