But considering the girl is missing and it's their priority I think they shouldve at least open all the closets and doors while calling out at her. I believe his power is telepathy. At first I suspected super hearing like in the beginning of the video. But after seeing the scene where he finds the girl I understood that he is a telepathic human.
"Save the cheerleader. Save the world." Season 1 was the best in my humble opinion. Then they just kept slipping down thru sub-par seasonal hell. And I wanted each sub-sequent season to be at least as good as the previous one. Unfortunately, that didn't work out, at all. I tried but couldn't even watch the last season.
Plus they probably called out for her, she probably thought it was the killer trying to trick her so didn't say anything. And with the dead bodies and no answer figured she was either dead or taken so didn't want to disturb the crime scene looking to see if she was hiding. Just a show but could have had dogs on the way to look for her just didn't get there yet.

As Brain said, the Writer’s strike. It killed any coherence and caused several points of retcon. Was a shame. Heck Sylar was somewhat sympathetic as a villain cause he did what he did due to his power basically forcing a need to understand things, other people’s powers included, and not for some cruddy ‘rule the world’ reason. Matt here suddenly gaining a power that would make his job incredibly easy, but it’s not so easy to control. And at first it was a case he tried to still be a good person. He even prevented a crime before it happened by talking the person down.

Season 2 was really disappoiting for me because it began with two people who had nothing to do with the original cast, and it took too long to bring everyone together.

in my country heroes was only viable for tv and they send it out 23:00 for season 1 but for season 2 it was 04:00 in the morning
