Soo... Sylar's ability was that he understood how things worked when he looked at them. That's how he assimilated the abilities, by taking the victim's brains apart... right? I never really understood what his original power was, this is the best explaination i have
Sylar's ability is officially called "intuitive aptitude". It's like "Sharingan" without limits except the drawback is you get this murderous hunger for knowledge (although they changed it later with sylar being able to relate to people, like what?) and what's even better is he can use an ability to it's full potential more so than the original bearer. Such an OP power ...although I liked Peter's original one better.
Roddy Pantheon I think Sylar could relate to people since he stole this power from a woman from the Company (the scene where Angela tells him she’s going to “feed” him), which consisted on feeling a person’s life when touching their skin. That’s how he become empathic. He also guessed Noah’s favorite type of coffee by touching him and he felt good about it.

umarmb02 watch the episode where he finally gets Claire. He states that he looks at the brain, finds the part that gives them their powers, and once he understands it, he replicates it. In that season, he also demonstrates that he, indeed, can do it without cutting open someone’s head and even does it at least two more times in later seasons. The advantage of him cutting open and analyzing, though, gives him a deeper understanding.
Sylars power is so interesting to me. A very subtle power at it's core if you think about it. He could have - and would have likely gone his entire life without even realising he had it. It clearly has the potential to turn him into a genius in any field he chooses, yet it had the potential to corrupt him and turn him into a monster. He discovered the dark side of his power and gave in to temptation. I love the idea of a power like that. I don't really view the power as dormant here, it's obviously working, but no one noticed. The idea that you can have a power that gives you an edge in life, but if you take it too far you lose control of your own power and give in to madness? An amazing concept for a super power imo.
I like what you wrote, and I agree. The concept of the supernatural being unnoticed (and the potential for madness) is a beautiful concept. You might enjoy The Shard Chronicles.
Notice how all the clocks are silently ticking away until Sylar strikes down Brian. Suddenly they're all loud, they're out of sync, he can hear each and every one of them all the time, and he can tell that what is wrong with all of them. why is this recommended now ? Like 10 years after lol. BTW TIM PLEASE KEEP UP WITH HEROES REBORN 2ND SEASON :((((((((
Because it was posted today
Reborn sucked ass, all it does is damage the Heroes brand more. If anything was to happen, I'd like for the original cast to return, but I doubt that'd happen with Milo saying he couldn't find an acting role for years after Heroes.
@@RealityClubX idk why they didnt make more episodes for heroes..
As someone who tinkers with mechanical watches, this scene is complete bullshit lol
Oliver thredson before he got a job at the asylum....if you don’t get the American horror story reference I’m disappointed 👁👄👁

Telekinesis was so wasted on this Bryan fellow, he didn't even want it. Clearly Sylar was destined for greatness and this power was the tool to achieve it. That was clear to him. He only had to take it.
Sylar is top learner he only need to watch brain to copy their power but all of them are die only Claire survived
