Great on how you down played what she actually said... People don't want progressive story telling, they want entertainment. The snow white story has survived time because it was already a good story. Doesn't need a stupid progressive view and update. Progressive story telling is simply, people trying to hitch there ideology on something that was already good. In the prosses of doing progressive story telling, you destroy what is good. Check out rings of power for this exact same problem. 1 Billion dollars on this IP, and produced such a bad tv show. Check the promo material they released world wide, so much of it was spent on, OMG diversity. The stupidest comment was from that guy, that is obviously gay, i can fix Sauron. He is the villain, you can't fix him. He is the whole reason, the rings exist and the whole story exists. The scene that showed how bad it was, was not only how the "orcs" (yeah i thought it was goblins, but no they are orcs) strength seems to be inconsistent, ability to fling a few hundred pound table across the room as if it was nothing, but the women seems to have killed it way to easily considering how strong the orc was suppose to be. But what cement it even more is the scene where the elf see the same exact women and tell her, i have to go to this place and it's dangerous. The women tells him, i'm coming with you. He says, no it's dangerous. She still says, i'm coming with you. They leave together right there. I was like, wtf, your leaving you son with out saying anything and making sure he will be ok...

Progressive Storytelling is not progressive if Rachel 'poops' on the original story by calling the prince a stalker amd sayong weird weird. Things can evolve, but they shouldn't at the expense of a truly classic story. If Peter Dinklage didn’t cost short people jobs a d if Rachel was almost likeable, the Disney version may jave been a hit. Unfortunately, the woke mind visus is regressive, not progressive.
