Only problem I see with this logic is that the Reality Stone(Aether) was in the possession of the Dark Elves during Odin's father Bor's lifetime and hidden away on a secret planet before his death. If Odin sought the Reality Stone out to wield all of the Infinity Stones it would make for a wildly large plot hole that his father let him know this secret location.

    • @syzygonal
      @syzygonal Месяц назад +1

Ok, Hear me out: the lore around the Stones' origins is mostly Odin lying to us and he hid them to prevent Ragnarok.
In Nordic lore, Odin "sacrifices himself to himself" by hanging from Yggdrasil (the World Tree) to gain the knowledge of "the Runes" which are often represented as symbols (Elder Futhark) engraved on STONES that granted the wielder unimaginable power over reality.
He does this, and plucks out his own eye and wanders the known world (in MCU, this would translate to "known universe"), to find the means of foreseeing and preventing Ragnarok (i.e. the Runes aka Infinity Stones).
We might have "stories" of where the Stones (Runes) were kept, but remember that Odin is often associated with the Rune "Ansuz" for its association with the magic that comes from communication. Odin was a known story-teller, and liar. Like Socrates, Odin was not particularly trusted among men for his ability to weave tales and distort reality through speech (this is without the Runes, the dude was just great at telling tall-tales).
So, I submit that almost everything we are told about the Stones is a lie- and actually told to us by Odin himself. Much of what you see on-screen in the MCU is real (or real illusions, like in Spider-Man: Homecoming), except the parts about the origins of the Stones themselves, which are a fabrication from Odin and perhaps the only illusion in the MCU never to be revealed as such, crafted by the master of deception himself.
Further, Odin collected the Stones for the same reason he collected the Runes in Nordic lore: to prevent Ragnarok. The same outcome even occurs: in trying to prevent Ragnarok, Odin inadvertently causes it.
In the lore, it is Odin and his two brothers who create the 9 (-ish) Realms. Very possible that they used the Stones for this purpose but this would be a reversal of the lore compared to the MCU; Odin didn't have the Runes/Stones when creating the Realms in the lore. But the MCU mashes stuff up and was written by an AI so I digress.
P.S. Do we know how Odin lost his eye in the MCU? Because in the lore he sacrificed it on his quest for the Runes, in order to gain wisdom from Mimir's Well. If it's left ambiguous, then it's def a reference to his quest to find the Runes which further supports my thesis.

It also makes no sense why Odin would hide two infinity stones on Earth. Maybe he viewed it as such a primitive world, that he didn't think anyone would look there. But at the same time, he would have kept at least one of the Infinity Stones. You're also wrong because of the Aether, Odin never had it. It was lost after his father sealed it away, and it remained sealed until Jane found it.

Regarding how Steve Rogers/Captain America returned the six Infinity Stones at the conclusion of the _Endgame_ film, there’s an online FanFiction story entitled “The Infinity Stones Return: Captain America’s Final Adventure.” This story is written in the form of a heavily detailed plot-summary for an eight-episode mini-series. ¶
The first episode takes place before Captain America (hereafter called “Cap” for short) begins his journey, and shows Professor Hulk rebuilding the time machine and Scott Lang/Antman volunteering for the initial test run. This involves a return-trip to Clint Barton’s pre-snap home to put back the baseball glove that was taken during the original test-run. Afterward, Doctor Strange explains why the stones have been placed in the briefcase and reveals that the Tesseract, Orb, and Sceptre have been shrunken down to fit in Cap’s pockets and will be re-enlarged after he arrives in the past to re-contain their respective stones at the proper time. ¶
In the second episode, Cap visits the Ancient One in 2012 prior to the arrival of his earlier self in New York. There, she uses the combined power of the six stones in the briefcase to cast future-dated spells that will make the 2012-2014 timelines reset themselves once the heisted stones have been returned to their proper places. Afterwards, she transports to the roof of the New York sanctum where she gives Hulk the original version of the Time Stone after first putting on a performance-act of initial resistance and surprise to ensure he understands the importance of returning the stones afterward. She then reclaims the returned-version from Cap’s briefcase. ¶
In the third episode, the Ancient One continues to assist Cap by helping him recapture Loki and returning him into SHIELD custody along with the stolen 2012-Tesseract (after future-Tony and Scott have fled the scene of course). Afterwards, the re-enlarged Sceptre re-containing the Mind Stone is given back to the Hydra goons, thus triggering the first timeline-reboot spell which erases everyone’s memory of the wayward events. However, the final scene then reveals that since Loki misused the Space Stone’s power in the wayward timeline, a branch-timeline was nevertheless still created, thus requiring the TVA to intervene. ¶
In the fourth episode, Cap shoots forward to 2013 where he re-teams with the Ancient One for the journey to Asgard. There, they work together to neutralize Heimdall before putting the Reality Stone/Aether back into Jane Foster’s body and returning the enchanted hammer to a comically confused Thor. Afterward, the timeline is then likewise reset to erase everyone’s memories. ¶
The fifth episode has Cap shooting forward again to 2014 where he returns the re-enlarged Orb containing the Power Stone to the temple on Morag after he and the Ancient One first make a brief but necessary side-trip to delay Korath’s arrival and prevent his interference. The sixth episode then has Cap being sent to Vormir where, in order to return the Soul Stone, he must first contend with a temporarily freed Red Skull and a temporarily resurrected Natasha Romanoff. ¶
The start of the seventh episode then reveals that, with the two stones from 2014 returned, the timeline has also now been reset so that everyone’s memories have been erased and that exact duplicate/replacement versions of Thanos, Gamora, and Nebula have been created to take the place of their original counterparts who jumped forward to 2023. ¶
Before travelling back to 1970 and then further back to 1946 though, Cap first reveals to the Ancient One that Doctor Strange had previously placed a charmed spell over Cap’s aura so that no one in the past would be able to recognize who he really is unless he wants them to. Hence, Peggy would be able to see Cap in his true form when he returns to her whereas everyone else would see him as somebody different. This would then enable him to easily change his name and assume the identity of a former G.I. whose unit was rescued by Captain America during the war as per the reference in the _Winter Soldier_ film. This also then explains why the younger Cap didn't recognize his older self at Peggy's funeral during the _Civil War_ movie. ¶
In the last part of this seventh episode, Cap returns to 1970 and puts the re-enlarged Tesseract containing the Space Stone back in the vault, then proceeds up to Hank Pym’s lab to put back the four replenished vials of Pym Particles. Upon arriving in the lab however, he is unexpectedly intercepted by the TVA. The final episode then has Cap being recruited by the TVA to fight the Red Guardian in 1984 before being allowed to return to 1946 and live happily ever after. ¶
Hope you enjoy reading the story in full on the FanFiction website. Cheers!

According to the latest canon (as the Asgardians in particular and magic as a whole concerning Deities specifically has been changed and retconned multiple times), Odin was in his likely in or near his prime something like 500,000 odd years ago when he battled Surtur.
Consider that Odin's father Borr was in his Prime back when the universe had only recently had the concept of freaking LIGHT introduced to it as that's when the Dark Elves tried to use the next convergence (at most 5000 years after the introduction of light to the universe since convergences happen every 5000 years or so apparently) to try and return the universe to Darkness and the War with Asgard ensued. That would make Odin and Bor both LUDICROUSLY old. As we're talking about 2 being who, over the shared course of their lives, span from the dawn of light in the universe to present day. Think about that for a second.

I think he has stopped his conquest and imprisoned Hella for some other reason.
After some years down the line after Thor was born, there was another all-out war with Frost Giants for whatever reason, he defeated them and took Loki as his own, hoping this would end the generational conflict between them once Loki grows-up and takes his rightful place as the leader of frost giants (obviously he was wrong about that).

My personal theory was that Hela was what Odin sacrificed in order to get the Soul Stone. She's immune to death, so it had to be done by locking her away. For it to be a true sacrifice, she can't ever be retrieved by Odin, and so his death is what was required to release her. Sacrificing the one he was conquering the cosmos with gave him perspective, and he realized that seeking ultimate power wasn't worth it if it involved making those sacrifices, so he abandoned his conquest.

I was wondering the other day, why do we think hela is dead? If thor was able to live in outerspace and was near death, why wouldnt hela also be able to? Plus she had just got powered up by being at asgaurd.

Just because Odin theoretically could have obtained the infinity stones (which is only theoretical) that doesn't automatically mean he has the power to wield ALL of the infinity stones...

Hmm. So did he also infuse Wanda and Loki? Reality and time stones? Because they both have the power of those stones.
There are probably others as well, i stopped watching after end game besides Loki.
Or how does one come to naturally develop the power of these stones?

WRONG! These videos just hunt for our views and likes, but offer nothing true.
Remember in Avengers 3 Infinity War, when Thanos attacked Thor's spaceship, his sorcerer said to Thanos that "no other being had the might or nobility to have not one, but two Infinity stones". That is a very clear statement.

This is all cool and sounds plausible, but you can’t state something as fact and then say “what if” it’s either “did you know…” or “this is what I think” can’t have both

Knew an Infinity Stone was powerful
So hid it on random planet...
So Earth gets both Space and Time stone
    Power stone, random temple
    Soul stone, ritual sacrifice
    Mind... somewhere i guess
Reality, actually breaks this logic because it stayed buried on the Dark Elves' world thanks to Odin's Father; Bor
    In short
    Sorry my guy
    This theory don't work

Odin did not collect all of the stones, Agamotto and his descendants held onto the Space Stone, The Dark Elves had the Aether/Reality Stone and Thanos already had the Mind Stone before the Avengers in 2012, and S.H.I.E.L.D. already had the Space Stone.
