Recuerdo que ví este partido en la televisión. Mi hermano mayor me pronosticó que Alemania era muy superior y más aún jugando en su casa y que no teníamos nada que hacer y acertó, aunque España no jugó un mal partido.

Crazy that a goalie was first choice who was not even among the top two goalies in Germany at that time. Schumacher got kicked out of the national team and was the number one. Some people regarded Stein as number one, but he quit the team.

Hmm… and even Bodo Ilgner seems to be the more gifted Goalkeeper. But Immel was the older and more experienced Player that time, starting in the national Team in 1980. But in the first qualifier WM 90 Beckenbauer chooses Ilgner and Immel quites the national team. But Immel was a very good goal keeper.
