- Today I will install and review the AVS Aeroskin II Hood Protector on a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. This was a super quick and easy install that looks great and performs excellent! I don't hear any wind noise from the product or notice any reduction in MPG either. I ordered this part from my Ford Dealer, at a discounted price for maybe around $70-$75. From AVS, the MSRP price is a bit higher. AVS offers a limited lifetime warranty on this product too!

Exactly what I was thinking. I want to install a dashcam but I want to hide the wires. I hate having wires all over the dash and plugged into my lighter socket. Great video and keep them coming. I've been seeing more and more Broncos on the road lately. Thanks.
Great! Thanks for this! I ordered one and now it’s ready for pick up!
Awesome vid. Just ordered mine so I wanted to see what the adhesive looked like. Can't wait to install it. Thank you!!
No Problem!
My fear with this deflector is moisture being trapped under it and eventually blistering the paint. That’s why I bought another type.
I have on my Nissan Titan. I had my local body shop sand it and color match it to the hood, looks really good.
Excellent video
I like your videos. I am having a lot of trouble with parts supply. Two dealers have told me that the air filter is not available. One dealer told me that February 2023 is when they were told they would have them. I have waited three weeks for a windshield replacement OEM. Still have not heard when I will get one. What have you experienced?
When these Bronco Sports first came out, I went and sat behind the wheel and did not like the look of the hood poking up (raised hood bumps), made it look as if I was in a boat. I wonder if this particular hood protector might make those hood humps blend in with the protector's raised deflector.
Thank you !
So I have to ask. I just got mine today and I was doing a dry fit to find center. When I had it on the outside edges were lifted off the hood. Is this something that is normal and happened on yours and was fixed when adhering the 3M tape
Hi, not sure if still active on here but how is it holding up? Installing mine tomorrow
Did your hood shake a lot after you put the hood deflector on ?
I have it installed and when going around 70+ MPH, I noticed my hood shakes significantly. Have any of you noticed this and do you think it’s messing up the aerodynamics of the vehicle?
Are you still checking comments? I just ordered the deflector and have heard of a lot saying it causes issues with the hood or increased shaking/noise. Anyone have this issue before I open it up? Otherwise I’m returning, thanks.
can you make a video about the fusebox? to install a dash cam from the fuse box (ACC, POWER, GROUND)
Its already in the works, should that video out soon!
I have heard that the deflector creates wind rattle and causes the hood to rattle. Don't know personally but that is a very lightweight hood. That I do know.
Any issues with higher speed hood rattle after your install?
It looks great. I'd heard based on the angle that the windshield is easily broken due to rocks etc. Don't know if what I heard is true.
Yes, at high speeds the turbulence created with the deflector will cause the hood to flutter/vibrate near the windshield.
Ordered mine and got the call that it was in. I was planning on having them install it since the accessories site said it's a $20 fee but my dealership has never done one and are telling me it'll at least be $90-$100. While it doesn't seem too hard, I'm paranoid about screwing anything up and am thinking of just never getting the deflector from the dealership. I have nightmares of putting things on and them not being straight so I don't know what to do. Ugh. Looks nice afterwards at least.
I am exactly the same! my Bronco is the Cactus Gray, I bought the side molding for doors. Paid to have it installed, passenger rear door piece catches a bit when opening door. Now I'm stuck, still looks good, but I know it's off!
It’s so easy to install, it’s like putting a sticker on your car.
Already bought and installed. Looks great and pretty proud of myself for taking the time to do it right.
And how do you remove that?
So I have had the other hood deflector on my sport and took it off today due to it falling off and noticed it had rubbed into my paint creating a cut around the edges. Can you tell if the one you have has created any damage?
Just had this same deflector installed at Ford dealership. After watching this video on installing which I should have watched first, I am now concerned with the deflector coming off, and now with the potential of paint damage. At least I can go back to the dealer.
One question I do have is I have a monthly membership to local car wash that is NOT brushless. Can I still run the car through the car wash with this?
Did you buy those fender flares ? Can’t find those anywhere
They are a dealer add on accessory. They are made by bushwhacker. They are not a great fit and besides them looking cool, they are not worth it since they don't fit well. I need to get in touch with Ford and fight to see if they can do anything for me. Wish me luck!
How do you remove these from the hood? Will it damage the paint when it’s removed?
I am curious about the life of this.
