Hello beautiful Tatiana, our diet is based on corn, what the lady prepared we do here with the difference that we put in the middle a stew of any meat or cheese and chili. We call it "Tamales" I send you a hug with a lot of affection from Mexico 🇲🇽
Yeah, you are right Maria. I had not thought of that. It is very similar to Tamales. Here in the states they use corn husks for wrapping. But, in Mexico I have had tamales wrapped in fresh (green) banana leaves. Delicious! Saludos
Kenkey, shitor, fish and tomato sauce. I ❤️ so much, I was introduced to kenkey 25 years ago in Australia. I have been eating it ever since . When I went to Ghana it was the first food I was asking for. Very good for the stomach! I watch all your videos as you know! Your 👍🏽 great!
Such a wonderful thing, watching humanity helping each other especially, when an individual has the means/status/influence, whatever it may be. God said we are to love our neighbours and help them however we're able to. I love what you do Taty and your down to earth personality, makes me, personally, want to continue watching your content. 🤗💖
Taty! Whoa! That was a fast release following what you shared a day ago. You are a hard working woman in this RUclips business. Kudos for that. Keep the intros. They are great. So so happy that you continue to mix Twi and English. Just adds to the authenticity that your videos have become known for. Some of our Ghanaian RUclipsrs will speak English throughout and that makes it lose the "local" heaviness that is needed in clips. Adding Twi also sets you apart, and this is what you must strive for in the cluttered space that RUclips is becoming. Also the casual conversation between you and Abena Yeboah provides a glimpse of lifestyles to the viewer. Eieeeeee, I had no idea making Fante kenkey is so labor intensive. Very delicious food when you add it to corn beef stew. And I have been educated on the medicinal properties too. Lessons learned!🔥Keep the content coming. We are tuned in all the way!
yes i also enjoyed this video and the interview with mama! iI love the fact that her customers said hers kenke is delicious. And then you said how clean her work area is at home was very important because it was!
I love you so that your person is uncomplicated and may God continue to bless you and your whole family. I am Haitian but I love watching you very much.
Tatiana THANK YOU for showing so many different countries and the difference in the cultures. I live in the South of the USA. In my family we were brought up as hard workers. Working in the fields from 5am, the mornings, and didn't get home till after dark. I admire the never ending hard work. I pray the Lord continue to Bless all financially, as well as Strengthen all. I also pray for Wisdom and the well-being of all. You inspire me~keep going, keep moving❤
Even i don't understand the language , but we all african we can easily understood what going on thanks my sista for been creative and independent keep it up.love from DRC.
I am back after binge watching your videos. Your down to earth personality is to be celebrated. How you related to the people you showcase in your videos is simply heartwarming. On top of all the you bless us with deliciously prepared food. So thank you Tatiana. Love you always 💓 💗 💛
We have that here in Jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲 although ours are a little different but it's the same name , I love when my aunt makes it....also here we don't say corn dough ,we say cornmeal......YUMMY😋👌 ❤💙
Hi Tatiana. I'm not aware of the US having Kenkey. I enjoyed watching this video. It's incredible that for so much work in making the Kenkey, that it sells for a mere 1 cedi. Anything that labor intensive, made by hand product would be sold for at least 25 cedis each. Abena Yeboah is certainly a woman who works very hard for her income!
At first I was like am gonna try and make this , but then there was plantain leaves… hard to find some . Appreciate all the work that had gone into making this. You got a new subscriber.

Awww You are making me crave for this, did I tell you that my mum is Ghanaian? I love this Dokono and do you know that you can actually take this with milk ?
But Africans, please, let's not erode our culture. This trouser business does not look good at all. Let's pass on to the next generation our precious modest culture and drop the colonial styles. Peace.
GHANIAN WOMEN ARE HARD WORKING AND VERY INDUSTRIOUS IN HARD CONDITIONS

Très bonne nourriture, j'aime beaucoup
Thank you for this. I bet I can make this kenkey if pressed to do so. Great learning…..
In twi we used to call it AWER3D3 the plantain leaves
We have that too in Haiti 🇭🇹. We call it DOUKOUNOU. Corn dough mixed with sugar cane syrup with cinnamon...um um um! Soo tasty
That’s how we call it but spelled differently. Dorkono
That means you people took it from Ghana to Haiti during slave trade.
We have that here in Jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲 although ours are a little different but it's the same name , I love when my aunt makes it....also here we don't say corn dough ,we say cornmeal......YUMMY😋👌 ❤💙
Oh wow. I’m learning something new today
One love 🇬🇭🇯🇲
I expect this is like the Jamaican dokunu; we, however, have a corn meal version of this, we call pain mais (paisme). Very interesting
Tati thank u for letting me see my home town for ones ,it’s been years now 😘
