Amazingly well done video, by all aspects, really! I would like to reflect my thoughts about ur question of what i think about the Sufi ritual in Hamad Anneel. I think it’s more of folkloric ritual more than a religious ritual. For my own understanding in Islam, this is not a way to worship the God, although it has remembrance of of HIS name. But as a Sudanese I totally think it’s a cultural ceremony, that’s inspired from different cultures and traditions, you can not miss the strange relationship between Sufis in SUDAN and the Rastafarians in Jamaica for example, the colors (red, yellow, green) , the dreadlocks , and “obviously “ the weed 😂 as well as the music, it’s the same drums and Riddem in the temples of Jamaica. Sufism is a big school in Islamic philosophies, but the way it’s being practiced now a days is not necessarily in line with what Sufism is REALLY about, but I would say the same about the whole religion, and this of course does not apply in all Sufis in SUDAN of course. I consider myself as a Sufi person btw, but I think Sufism is about your own relation with the God, in line with the Quran and the prophet teachings. Still I enjoy very much the Hamad Aneel Sufi dance , I go there often with tourists, I enjoy the music and I love the ppl, I just wanted to share my thoughts about that. Much love from SUDAN :)
Was there years ago, ceremony stopped for salat al maghrib and then continued till isha...nice to see same people are still attending, but ostriches: where are them?...
I know the reason why you ( the Europeans) are happy to see these sufi activities because these activities are the same of what the pope do in the Vatican.
