ALL NEW! First, we have the NBC ID bumper, then it's the intro to 227 (With the 11 feather peacock In Stereo logo), followed by plugs for Burger King, Sun Light, and Dove)
WMAQ-TV in Chicago, Illinois for me, brings back memory’s. The “Wheel of Misfortune” episode is my favorite when Sandra and Mary were on Wheel of Fortune and the one when they were on “Family Feud”
I got to see the last of the NBC, CBS and ABC bumpers and ID's in the early to mid 80s, they were great. I miss seeing them on TV. And the commercials were still good too.
I remember seeing the Proud N 11 feathered peacock NBC on the wall in the SNL Five-Timers Club monologue with Justin Timberlake, Mike O'Brien and Bobby Moynihan along with Paul Simon, Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Martin Short, Dan Aykroyd, Alec Baldwin, Tom Hanks and Candace Bergen.
What was a little strange about the transition is that they didn't wait until fall to change the logo... it was changed near or at the end of the season in late May / early June... (The rest of the summer, you'd see both logos depending on what was airing)... :)
young man with a job is the title episode of this intro which is the only episode in which they added that sound to the theme when regina king and kia goodwin are credited at 0:45-0:48. may be tough to hear with the static but if u watch another video of it in better quality u will hear what im talking about like this video. ruclips.net/video/ASeIxSipp5k/видео.html
It wasn't "ok" it was a great show! And no it didn't suffer it was one of the biggest hits of the 1980s. Jackee Harry won an Emmy for her role of Sandra Clark. Maybe it's not for you but this show was iconic along with the other shows on the Saturday night line up like Amen, Golden Girls, Empty Nest and Hunter.
I used to watch this every Saturday night alongside Amen, The Golden Girls, Empty Nest and Hunter on NBC (WMC-TV5 Memphis) when I was a kid.

That was a solid night of TV.
The static was very enjoyable. Brought back memories of the days before cable.
the mid 1980's gave us some great tv shows & 227 was one of them this was a show my whole family enjoyed
Could sit as a family and watch TV 📺 together
@@C.R886 yes we could
When we watched TV as a family so glad I grew up then!!!!
RIP Alaina Reed, who also played Olivia on "Sesame Street."
I watched 227 and I'd say "mom, look, it's olivia from sesame street!!"
They had so many wonderful family tv shows
I like seeing the original stuff with the NBC "In Stereo."
It the same thing with Knight Rider with the NBC logo in stereo back in the day.
Takes me back to my childhood
i really love 227
Me too. It is one of my favorite shows!
watching this make me wish NBC could do a retro night with the Proud N logo, promos & commercials as if it was aired in '85/'86
I think my grandma used to watch this way back. I miss how TV used to be.
Florence from The Jeffersons gets married to Smitty from Sanford and Son.
Marla and Hal had worked together twice on The Jeffersons, first in 1977 then in 1984.
If I was actually living during the mid 1980s, I would be so excited to see an NBC ID. That meant a show was about to begin!!!

This show was SO GOOD! It was so funny. There are so many little jokes in each episode. They do not make shows like these anymore!
Thank you for the 80s commercials
It's 2022. I watch Days of Our Lives. Jackee' Harry is on it and Marla Gibbs plays her mother from time to time. It's fun.
i love this song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love Marla Gibbs especially as Florence from the Jeffersons. I was only 5 or 6

When Brandon Tartikoff was running things

Damn, Hal Williams looks like Apollo from Rocky!
hahahaha He certainly kind of reminds one of him, for sure.
" i mean no place child"
Loved this series
my mom watch this show 227
I'd always 💘 watching "227", when I was a 🇭🇹-🇺🇸n autistic kid in Jamaicntown on Ch. 4 WNBC, Particularly queens county of NYC.🗽☺
"Ooooooo Mawy...."
hahah I remember that Suy Light commercial
This is the real deal. The original NBC show intro. Not a TV land digital remastery.
Marla Gibbs Is Florence The Maid On The Jeffersons.
I think I prefer the 11 feather over the six feather
Calvin's Crush On The Daughter
What happened to the theme rap… “227 is the place to be, with Marla Gibb and her family” - I swear it used to start like that. Maybe just the pilot?
I remember the same thing... I don't know where it is either.. I'm thinking maybe it was a commercial advertising the show?
227 Starring Marla Gibbs Hal Williams Alaina Reed Jackee Harry
croissants and egg sandwiches, check!
In stereo? Well... la dee da.
I like the 11 feather peacock better than the current one and the in stereo bug
James Greek Why is that? Because the Proud N Peacock brings back nostalgia?
Looks a lot better
what season is this?
First.
classic until season 4

227 was okay, but I think it suffered because I kept thinking of Jeffersons during its run.
