GIGABYTE Introduces RGB Fusion on the new AORUS Gaming Series Motherboards powered by GIGABYTE. RGB Fusion supports RGB around the board allowing users to control various zones and sections with different patterns and lighting effects. Users can also download an APP to control all Basic Mode functions directly on their mobile device. Thats pretty weird my rgb fusion app looks totally different like some shareware from 90's
Probably the most clunky and frustrating app I've ever seen, and that's just downloading it.
-the ui is terrible, nothing really works well.
-what I assume is supposed to be a way to save your favorite color under the color wheel, does absolutely nothing.
-my corsair RGB vengeance ram is now stuck on static or pulse with no actual controls to changing it back to the default color cycle, or off for that matter.
- you can NOT change independent LEDs on the board, it gives me all or nothing. Which is odd because it lets you select independent areas in the advanced tab.
-you can NOT use your currently set color under the advanced tab if you switch the pattern, it goes to some ugly yellow.
- the brightness slider does nothing past 50%.
-a lot of pattern features are essentially greyed out, meaning they are unusable. I'm assuming that they are meant to be added later, but when everything feels soo broken, it's hard to tell what's really going on. Why would I want to see them anyway?
The list goes on and on..... Fix it!!!
Agreed, not to mention App Center uses up TOO MUCH CPU!!! It's frustrating when you're gaming and fps drops because there is no other way to control your LED and fans unless you use this app center garbage!

I was originally thinking of going with the gigabyte ab-350 atx Mobo..
You don't need to setup your colors everytime you boot up but it is frustrating that its really crappy software and gigabyte doesn't want to do anything about it.
Go for the Aorus boards, the other boards have LEDs but the customization is just pure garbage.
Yeah mine too and it's been now and months it's December now fuck you Taiwan
For the record, the Aorus boards are no better supported. The apps for them are broken as well, both RGB Fusion and SIV are flaky as hell.

I downloaded the App Center, but my menu does not look anything like that. I only have the little menu at the bottom right hand corner that says App center and Live update. I also downloaded the RGB fusion, but it does not show up there. Please help. Thank you.

What Generation board are you on? Is it the 200 series motherboards?
I have the Z270X-Gaming 5 board with bios to the latest update.
You may have to uninstall and reinstall from the site and see if that fixes your issue.
I already did that multiple times. App Center is a complete fail for me.
What led strip did you buy? Can you send me a buying link in Australia. Is it the rgbw with white separated from colour or is it the one where the white and colours are in the same led chip
How does rgb fusion app for android work? What do I need to set up?
I don't seem to be able to get any of the separate regions working independently, no matter how much I click the buttons in the app, it makes no difference and just makes every region the same colour, all on or all off. Gaming 5 with Ryzen
ISSUES:
- individual LED section control FAIL : ONLY 1 COLOR for the ENTIRE board at a time!
- no wave mode, its there but doesnt work
- interactive modes to temps NOT ADJUSTABLE pre set range ONLY
- Brightness:: only first few lower settings have effect: Anything above 30% does NOTHING
- RGB when OFF MODE FAIL does nothing. So lights only on when PC is on
- GPU card LED is negatively affected
SO this is NOT RGB board in every since of the word. It does change ONE color for the ENTIRE board at a time ONLY!
- Orange and some other colors WHITE etc, FAIl they will not reproduce
TO SUM UP:
This is a piss poor board for RGB use. It has NO ZONE CONTROL, and COLOR REPRODUCTION simply not happening. For those of us who bought it for RED, BLUE, GREEN STATIC SINGLE COLOR it looks GREAT!
Maybe a future bios update will fix this but for now. FAIL @ RGB but good as static single basic color.

Firstly my UI looks absolutely nothing like that. Secondly, the program has absolutely no effect on my motherboards lights.
Easier to just restart your pc and open Bios and play with RGB Fusion there rather then to try and download this...

@@Marcos19198 You have to press Delete key on the startup, then go to Peripherals, it's the fourth caterogy and you will found RGB Fusion option on a list

As with most gimmicky software packaged with motherboards, it seems the creators of RGB Fusion spent all of 2 weeks developing this concept for GIGABYTE and a few hours on the GUI. It's a shame because you obviously have a controller capable of quite a bit with a lot of LEDs. It's just half-assed.

Man my version of rgb fusion program doesn't look like that at all, very few options, a bunch of digital ABC options that all look kinda similar. I was hoping to have it swap between two colors i pick, but that seems like it's not an option. I'm not very tech savvy so if the program doesn't work I'm kinda at a loss
Hey Gigabyte Motherboards, was wondering if you could help me out. I have a z270 gaming 7 and things work well for the most part except sometimes the RGBfusion goes a little haywire. sometimes a random color will pop up in one region out of no where. restarting my pc or restarting rgb fusion on/off helps for a short while until the same thing happens again in the next hour or so.

Planning on getting a Gigabyte X370 Gaming K7 and GSKILL Trident Z RBG RAM, is there a way to sync these together or is this only for Gigabyte products?
There is one strip (the one to the right of the ram) on my 270mx-gaming 5, that doesn't respond well to the "teal" colour. It comes up as cyan, and stays as cyan. When using white, it comes up as pinkish. I am assuming there is a color that's not activating. Solid R, G, and B are fine, but any other shade it doesn't match with the rest of the board. Is that a hardware, or firmware specific issue? Should I return my board?
just bought the z390 aorus pro. rgb fusion worked fine for 2 days after that it's stuck on 1 static color, if i open the app my gskill trident z rgb wont even light up, have to uninstall rgb fusion to get my trident lightings up again. can't seem to find any solutions and ive tried a lot of it.
How much watt does led strip use? My gpu is using up most of my psu already

I have a Z270X Ultra Gaming and can´t open the RGB Fusion. Have installed the App Center which doesn´t look like the one in the video!
i can not set rgb fusion through app rgb fusion, every i want to set rgb i have to go into the bios menu
nothing really works well. I have k7 aorus, ryzen 7 1800x vega 64 liquid. led works only with bios setup. Not from app RGB Fusion.
I also have a K7, my app "works" and I put work in quotations before nothing really works as it was intended. It's really fucking bad
i have the X370 K7 too. It *ONLY* controls my graphics card, and is extremely laggy. Did you find a solution?
Sarfaraz Hussein Merchant After an update mine doesn't work at all anymore lol, only from the bios. Gigabyte says to uninstall all apps and the software app itself thdn redownload the software app and the rgb fusion but it didnt work for me. Its just ridiculous how bad they fucked this shit up, last time im buying anything from gigabyte
[[ Suggestion ]] brilliant stuff am yet to get the gig setup already made the shopping list but it thought i would check out the rgb stuff , i have one suggestion how about a timer or alarm ? where buy when you the time alarm goes off the led do a certain set flashing or any light effects you choose ? a really cool envirnmental alarm ? awesome right ? i got the idea when you mentioned the timer of your leds :)
Where can i get these LED straps and how do sync. them with the software?
I selected one color from favorite in static mode, than I can´t choose another color, only a few from favotite right below. Now, only works in several colors and I cant choose white.
Hold on so you dont need the auros gpu to get the gpu led to change?

finaly , i found my answer here, the RGB fusion in not bad in motherboard as in GPUs ... i have GTX1060 xtrreme edition , the RGB is so bad in audio mode, very slow and not good , the mystic version of MSI is better in Music mode ( from blue to red ) and very fast reacting to sound ! i hope Gigabyte will do a better software for that !
there are thousands of videos how to use RGB software (which is intuitive) and NONE of video how to connect all of those cables propely....

This software needs a major improvement. it takes too long to change the damn color. and then when i clicked the advance and go back to the basic. the light turned to blue and now I can't change the damn thing.
AND IT TOOK ME AN HOUR TO FIGURE OUT WHERE TO DOWNLOAD IT. A shitty webpage, I suppose. everything needs major improvement.
I having H370hd3 motherboard. How many led strip of length 2m can be connect to it as there is a on rgb header pin in motherboard

Where's the advanced mode video and can RGB Fusion be used to control third party RGB devices such as Corsair H100v2 cooler's lights or G.Skills Trident Z RGB RAM sticks? Also is the RGBW header compatible with Phanteks case lighting?

As for the RGBW compatible with Phanteks, the RGBW pin headers have interchangeable RGB pins so you can make it whatever you want just by calibrating. If you know what Phanteks pin-outs are i'll be able to help you more.
GIGABYTE Motherboards Alright cool good to know your working on expanding the ecosystem. I unfortunately do not yet know Phanteks pinout as I'm still planning my new system and am waiting to pull the trigger on parts till after Ryzen's launch before I kick my self for getting something I regret.

Depends on how they are connected if it is the same RGB Pin Header then yes.

The RGB Fusion has only a "basic mode", so this video should be called "RGB Fusion: Our Four Crappy Effects" because thats what it is, the four are:
-static color
-pulse color
-rainbow wave (sometimes glitch)
-audio visualization (which is a seizure because it doesn't fade the colors, it just strobes the lights)
I'm very disappointed at my gigabyte motherboard and I don't plan to purchase any other gigabyte products probably forever, they lie about everything. Their RGB Fusion READY page has my case listed(p400) which has an RGB strip but It doesn't plug into the motherboard!!! If you want RGB stuff then get an asus motherboard!

This RGB Fusion needs more user settings ... Music mode (only color select, flashes lags after sound you hear, no sensitivity settings, cant change colors by music ...) Its not so cool :-/ Hope some more improvements are near by ...
Stop fooling the people! This faulty software is not working! Only way to change colors on gigabyte mainboards is via bios. And this option is very limited!
Why Auros B450 boards don't have Advance options in Rgb Fusion App? I've got b450 Auros pro wifi,i mean it's not that of a cheap board, c'mon Gigabyte don't cheap out on such small things!

Technically Yes, but you will need to use some of those engineering skills by hooking up the RGB Pin Header to the +12v, and White.

i think all rgb that use pwm or that 4 header style should be fine but basically most of them do anyway

Yes, wave mode is currently limited to the rear I/O Armor and the Audio Armor.

The led trip broke my entire pc
I have a Z370M (www.gigabyte.com/br/Motherboard/Z370M-AORUS-Gaming-rev-10/) and it works only in static mode. The other modes are unavailable. RGB Fusion B20.0122.1

small arg go to their website, click the support tab, enter in your motherboard model, find the drivers for app centre and rgb fusion.. download them, run them, and then you can find the app centre in start menu
maybe its just me but i cant actually use my rgb fusion? get the error "SelLed has stopped working"

GIGABYTE Motherboards okay. what i found as the solution is, you gotta hit the little down button on the top of app centre which you have to get from gigabytes site. there you have to update and install everything, then you will have access to rgb fusion. wish it was a little more forward with these steps but got mine working.

Hello i have a problem on my z270x k5.
Every time i try to set rgb color for different sections on my board then it just change all the sections to the color that i choose.
For example i want blue at my ram and green at my gpu if i choose ram at fusion app and change the color then it just changed to the whole motherboard.
Please let me know if that is application problem or i have to rma my board.

Hi Dimitris, there should be a picture of a motherboard where you can select the different sections on the board. Are you in advanced mode?

Sure im at advance tab and as i say when i select ram for ex and go to select the color then the color thqt i choose goes to every section of motherboard.

For the K5 its split off into 2 sections one is the board and one is the RGBW Light strip.
Then you have wrong information on official Gigabyte site.
At key Features of z270X K5 (rev 1) says:
Independent Control
Customized different color dfor different section of board.
Please take postition to that fault.
Also i allready contact with gigabyte support and waiting for a clear answer.
Hi Dimitris, Sorry for this confusion the RGBW head is also a section that is on the board but it doesn't display on the board. I'll see if we can adjust it on the website to avoid confusion.

No, there's a header on the board itself for the strips.

To the whole list of issues with this app I have to add one BIG ONE. RGB Fusssion prevents screen from switching off! Everyone with the issue must kill RGBFussion.exe. This is so flustrating. Also Corsair must regret their partnership with Gigabyte for controlling Corsair's rgb by GB SW. The number of issues that come along with RGB Fusssion software is mind blowing. Fix the screen switch off issue please!

You guys really over-complicate this feature.
Have the aorus board and an aorus rtx 2070. I can change colours on my mb and ram but not my fans or my GPU. And it has the best RGB layout of any card. But the shit software does not see my card at all so it's set to unicorn puke. Thanks gigabyte
