  • Fly tying is one of few things that aren't affected by the corona situation and we got you covered with a new episode of Tie TV ft. Daniel Bergman. Today's fly is kind of a Miuras Mouse inspired version of the classic Game Changer streamer and it'll get the job done for pretty much all fish-eating species such as trout, perch, pike, zander - you name it.
    MATERIAL LIST:
    Hook: Partridge Attitude Extra # 2.
    Shanks: Flymen Chocklettes Articulated Micro Spines in 6mm, 8mm and the tail version.
    Tail: Hedron Lateral Scale Small - Mirrage Opal
    Body: Chocklett’s Gamechanger Chenille in Clear
    Head: Predator Dubbing in Red Roe, Pearl and Black
    Eyes: Epoxy Eyes 5,1 mm
    Front: Bauers Water Pushing Foam 10mm (Much more durable than the Boobie Eye in the Film)
    GIVE AWAY! Leave a comment why you need this one in your fly box and we will give away the exact fly tied in this video.

    I just tied my first game changer a couple days ago, it's 10 inches long, lol, but they're beautiful in all sizes I think. Great work!

    Great looking fly, great action. You did as marvelous job of tying it. I myself, at this time of my life (well north of 80) am not willing to spend that much time and effort on one fly. I believe there is likely something much less trouble that will work maybe as well. Thanks for an interesting post.

    use a straw to tame what you've created as you progress. push the straw over the finished sections to just reveal the eye. then it'll feel like you are always just finishing the head. great idea btw!

    Blane Chocklett's patterns are among the most innovative of all. He gives tu us so much marvellous flies, such as Game changers, T bones, Gummy minnow and so on. He is a true master of modern fly tying as Bob Popovic is. Little advantage to Bob who have much easier and faster patterns to tie, but you must try these. Blane is one of fly fishermen who has catch so many muskies on flies that we can say, yes fly fishing is as efficient as lure fishing for muskies. I confirm you Daniel in great sizes it works very well for pikes. ps: You prepare your weapons for next perch pro? All the best.

    I absolutely loved this video! Your accent and sense of humor are a bonus! Picking up my first Vise tomorrow, hoping that with some practice i'll get to tie one of these🤞 In the meantime, going to get my buddy to attempt... Sure would be nice to throw one of these in Striped Bass territory!!! Subscribed!!

    Afternoon Daniel
    You look like you're using a deer hair trimmer on that man beard
    Looks good!!
    Sadly my home safety hair cut wasn't as good as my fly tying would have suggested! Nevertheless perfect choice for a pandemic lockdown but you could add some cool music a cold Stella and a fatty for the full therapeutic benefits
    Bert from England 👍🌞🌞

    Nice and cool fly, but why do you have to tie it backwards? Is it because of the size of the shanks? Couldn't you at least get a grip around that small hitch on the tail shank?

  • @Chef1One
    @Chef1One 2 года назад

    extra cumbersome way to do it as it is very easy to apply the small part of L on the tail part and then just tie the "right" way. pinch the v-shaped loops and just work your way forward. would be crazy to tie this fly in this way. but to pinch the hook eye when cutting at the end I will follow 👌🏽

    • @danielbergman8980
      @danielbergman8980 4 года назад +1

      Brody Stiarwalt Not really as it’s tied. But you have some up drift in the foam. If you make the disc thicker it’ll float though.
