It’s because stock injectors can only flow so much extra fuel. At some point there is a limit and a “120hp” tune has no benefits over a 75hp because there is no extra fuel flow from stock injectors
What Tune did you find your MPG to be best in. I have a 1999 F250 stock injectors with a 6 speed manual I find my fuel economy is best in the 120hp tune. Just wondering what your experience is with hydra and mpg.
U need to get that boost fooler and u will see better results but ur app will never show ur true boost with a fooler cuz its reading from the map sensor witch u r tricking it. great trucks though i love my 7.3l
The truck isn’t stock besides the transmission. Without custom tuning to my injectors and turbo (coming soon) it won’t control fuel/air optimally. A stock truck would see major improvements. Where I saw improvements was the different shift points of the transmission. It’s so much smoother and more aggressive
@@manaboiman the way it smoked later on and it’s misses and hard idles. Also occasionally had trouble starting and had replaced the injector orings and washers

7.3s defuel at around 22 psi boost, you definitely need a boost fooler

Is it an early 99? They have smaller injectors
You for sure had something wrong with the truck in this video, I just installed my hydra and I'll get 26psi in the 40hp daily tune.

That bs 0-60 is inaccurate, use the stop watch on ur phone
You really should get the boost fooler. My 7.3 will do 45 psi of boost and it's not maxed out
