Hi Sean! I am from Prague and I actually study arts, so I thought I would just let you know what you were looking at in the castle's gardens - the building you saw is a kind of a renaissance sports room and the paintings are called sgraffito. It is a technique that was quite popular in the renaissance period and it's done by putting two different coloured coats of facade rendering (is it called like that?) - normally black as a base and white on the top, and then scratching the motives in the top coat while it is still wet so that then the base coat (the black) shows underneath. Hope I explained it well, glad you had a nice stay and remember you're always welcome to come again!

It’s fun to see what the two of you are up to and more important what you’re eating! 😍 (Lightning then thunder. Thunder is the noise cause by lightening. Light travels faster than sound but I don’t know the technicalities if the two. 🤷♀️)

I was in Prague on the 6th of May to run the marathon! We then spent the next few days eating pizza, it was amazing.

Nice! My Mom was born and raised near Pilsen (where Pilsener beer is made!) in 1930, when it was still part of the Sudetenland (a region of former Czechoslovakia that was occupied by Germans).

Hi Sean, so thunder is caused by lighting, when lighting travels from the cloud to the ground it actually opens a little hole in the air called a channel, once the lighting is gone the air collapses back in and creates a sound wave called THUNDER ⚡
lightning and thunder happen at the same time, just light travels faster than sound so you see lightning first!

i went on a quick 5 day trip last month and it was amazing ! you should definitely go back soon. you need to go into Prague old town (and new town) and my personal favourite tourist spots were the Zizkov television tower and the cathedral in Prague castle! i’d do anything to go back :(

Yes Sean come to Brussels. I'm from Belgium and i think you would enjoy it. Pof if you like more nice architecture maybe Bruges is more something for you. Bruges is a beautiful city whith nice architecture and wonderful waterways.
Next time you come to Czech Republic you must come to Brno. It's a city full of students with great atmosphere and a lot of independent cafes and restarants :)
