Seriously I think some of the allied races were kinda just phoned in Not terribly interesting, just there to drive people to level new characters or pay for race transfers I just want them to completely abolish the faction split at this point It sucks that if I want to play one of the Allied Races I actually like, Zandalari, it hinders my gameplay in multiple ways to swap faction
@@alecshockowitz8385 You've already got cross-play and cross-Faction guilds. What gameplay is being hindered? Leave the basic story concepts alone - they don't even affect gameplay anymore. The Faction divide is part of the basis of the game. Why are you even playing WoW and not some other MMO if you'd start cutting away what makes WoW Warcraft?

It’s definitely not a lore problem, as druids can easily be retconned into any race’s lore. It’s probably a lot of work for them to make new models every time they add a new race that can be Druids. What do you expect from a small indie dev?

I'd rather earthen for the alliance and a smaller form of Ogres that use Kul'Tiran rigging for the horde, say they're ogres who started to dig into azeroth around the first war and lost contact with everybody
i think the best Allied race they could come up with was Mogu with new models. Khaz Algar is west to Pandaria. There could have been a potential Ancient Mogu travellers that end up there, and thein join the Horde or something. Getting another dwarf is not cool man. Earthen models are cool, not gonna lie, but most of the time the gems and patterns are covered with armor, so what's the point of it?
I wish we had option to see crystals through armor, so they don't hide under every set. Demon hunters at least got specific sets, so they could see their tattoos
The massive budget blizzard must have for this and they couldn’t hire a guy to make up a new Skelton and design for a new playable race. I mean how long does it really take to create one of these?
Especially since they’ve already created a precedent where they no longer need to make all old transmogs apply they could make just about any rig work.

Horde player here. Not that excited tbh. Especially since alliance and horde can group together for content now. The only way I’ll be excited is if they are significantly bigger than normal dwarfs and have some very very unique customization looks. Even then, I’d still want another unique race like tuskarr or ogre.
In terms of real life releases, you can't get much older than the Earthen. They've been around since initial release of vanilla WoW nearly 20 years ago. The only non playable races coming before that which I would actually be interested in playing are Broken Draenei and ogres.
While I like the Earthen, and will be rolling one, I do think Blizz could have taken the opportunity to add any race players have been asking for, like the Vrykul(I apologize if players HAVE actually been wanting to play an Earthen).
@@Drekulviin I love when people make excuses for lazy developers in a multi-billion dollar company. Vrykul wouldn't be too big...you just make them around the same height as tauren or zandalari trolls. They just need to be tall enough to be able to tower over regular humans, which is very easy to do. WoW is literally filled with characters of ALL races being hilariously oversized compared to the player models, so I don't see why we couldn't just get a Vrykul race the same height as Zandalari trolls which are also massive.
This is like Void Elves. A lazy reskin. They could have added Vrykul, Ogres, Mogu, Draenei Broken, Taunka, Yaungol, or Forest troll/High Elves as allied races.
@@Terrezio because it makes sense lore-wise to make them part of the Alliance. They have been like that (remember the lodges in Eastern Kingdom) since vanilla, like the Forest Troll tribe from the hinterlands. And they could be provided with a new skin. It doesn't make sense to pull out the void elves with a shallow lore, when you already had the high elves.

This could potentialy be a great time for that. But if they do. I seriously hope they add an option for trolls. TO COVER THEIR FCKN FEET.. its one of the things that anoy me so hard right now. And since Vanila. That of all races.. Trolls have bare feet. No option to cover them. And very few boots today that actualy cover them. Which is a pitty. Since so many armors end up a bit messed up looking when you have someone in heavy plate armor.. And then bare feet. But it has shin guards.. But no feet guards. Its not like tauren that have hooves. That is understandable. but troll have feet. They have the shape that CAN be covered. but somehow isnt.

But we havent seen the DARK TROLLS in wow so far. In bfa we see 1, Speaker Ik'nal in Zuldazar.. seems that they were wiped out by the Twillights hammer cult. But they were suposed to be living in the mount hyjal area.. UNDERGROUND. And we havent explored deep underground int hose areas. So who knows. But the dark trolls. Acording to the cataclysm concept art.. Ooof.. They would be brutal. Huge like Troll that we usualy think of. Big hulking brutes. Pitty we didnt see them. But who knows.

I'm gonna make one. I'm gonna level one. But it's nothing new to the game. The allied race of the new expansion really should at least bring a new shape. It's just another dwarf once you armor it up.
Im pissed with blizzard not realizing that the Alliance is shrinking in population. A lot due to that we have Humans, Worgens (humans but wolf), Dwarfs (smaller humans), Gnomes, (smallest human), Dark iron and mechagnomes (small human reskins). Dreanei and Night elfs are like the only ones that make Ally seem exotic. Meanwhile Horde get Zandalari, Vulpera and Nightborne which are completly new races. And now we are giving the horde one ally-race. Cmon! When are blizz acctually gonna give Ally a new cool and exotic race to make people wanna play ally. Complete BS and the path to a dead faction.

been waiting both for so long. now we got some setup for the Broken to come, but they are still fiercely avoiding the ogres. It is curious tho that they chose gorian buildings and ogres for the new starting zone isle. fingers crossed
@@06burhan You don't need a set up for either broken or ogres. Both groups already exist within the Alliance and Horde respectively. They make significantly more sense than earthen ever did.
such a disappointment, imo i think allied races and normal should be merged into one if they use the exact same rig, why would they add a third dwarven race when we already have 2?
These were probably one of the least exciting races they could have announced. They're pretty cool, I guess, but they don't look very different from the dwarves we already have. Like mechagnomes, they suffer from the possibility to have been super cool but they're just the same race we've been playing for years with a different skin and a couple of doodads added on. Imagine earthen dwarves which were bulkier and beefier due to having toiled beneath Azeroth for untold generations, like kultiran humans are to stormwind humans. _That_ would have been something I would have been excited for!
I have a feeling especially after all the negative feedback they got on this announcement that we’ll be seeing playable Tuskaar before the launch of War Within. But after the shit they pulled in Shadowlands with no playable Venthyr I’m not holding my breathe.
Ah miss the days being Horde or Alliance meant something. Alliance were the "Normals" and Horde were the monstrous Outcasts. Pandarens and Dracthyr?. fine they're beast men but the Earthen? Like maybe if the Dark Irons wanted to join the Horde but the Earthen?
Im hoping that they add other allied races in this Xpac. Especially if they aren't adding a new class. Maybe halfway through TWW lifecycle they will add a couple specific races for Hoard and Alliance
Wish we got something new and exciting, will probably create one to get the mounts and then never look at it again. Wish we got ogres, sethraks, nagas, ethereals, arakkoas (MY BIGGEST WISH), or the more humanoid nerubians since they're relevant for this expac! Love or hate these races, they'd be new instead of just yet another drawf.
@@Fleshbag453 You're right! though Midnight is pretty much a elf based xpac... To be fair, I'd rather have another customization rehaul for the existing races in Midnight. Some races are quite lacking and I don't think adding more races and ignoring the existing ones would be a good idea. We have Void Elves... And the Man'ari. So you're right, anything is possible.
Now that they are gonna release, essentially, a second Dwarven Allied Race, I can't be the only that think there are some of the cosmetic features they added to Races that would have made sense as an Allied Race. Such as the Wildhammer Dwarves and the Man'ari Draenei.
Yeah, having Earthen DKs is a little weird. Neither the Lich King nor Bolvar are making DKs anymore, so I can't see an opportunity to raise Earthen DKs or any DK really post Shadowlands.
Even though we could have had something different, I’m still excited regardless, I’m going to make an earthen shaman since it will fit theme and race and class fantasy. I’ll probably buy the expansion and use the boost on my future earthen unless that’s not allowed
Not being polemic, but I don't see how it is fitting to have a earthen shaman, they are Titan forged, imbued with arcane power rather than elemental power. Just want to make you reckon about this.
Well, why call them earthen if they’re titan’s creation, why not call them Magnetics, shaman fits the theme for the name earthen, but a warrior has titan type abilities so warrior takes the cake for theme

Allance got BOR-ARlis and Fat humans, and hord got Egyptian city designed by architects. Hord got Trolls, Troll Pallys, Tauren Pallys. Totally insane. I'd much prefer them to finish heritage armors for current races, before giving heritage armor for stuff that doesn't exist yet... I don't remember if dranei got there's yet, but where is troll and panda heritage armors??
The ONLY thing I like about this, is that Dwarves have always been my favourite Ally race... but I'm horde, so, well, whilst I would prefer something completely new, it's kinda cool having a horde Dwarf
I probably wont main one of these but Ill def have some fun playing with the customizations. I don't particularly like the rehashed races BUT - I get WHY they are doing it. Over on 14 we have the female Hrothgar coming with the next expansion, and unless there's a huge demand for another race, they likely wont add any more any time soon. Every new body rig means resources are needed to reform every pre-existing piece of gear to a new mesh. When a game gets so old (being around a LONGAZTIME), that's a LOT of work hours/resources that could honestly be going into something more worthwhile then making sure every old armor skinsuit works properly on a new body shape. While WoW's older gear doesn't really require much (Cause its practically all bodysocks minus boots, gloves, helms, and shoulders/beltbuckles) The gear design has been slowly getting stepped up which means more in depth work to replaster it onto brand new body shapes. So again, I may not feel overly excited for reused race models myself, but I get WHY its being done so much. (Not saying its the main reason, it still without a doubt plays a part in the choices) Now just give us non-hunchy undead and darkspear males and nobody gets hurt.
I'm hyped. As much as i love Mag'har - I wouldve loved if we had gotten a swap with Dark Iron on the Horde. Dwaves are my favorite Alliance race, so I'm pumped as a Horde stan to be able to have these guys on my Warband!
Dwarves are cool, but they need to make them stand out a bit more than just a reskin of the starter dwarves. Even dark iron dwarves have a better aesthetic. I don’t think they will though, it seems a bit rushed like they just slapped some gems on a dwarf and made their eyes blue

Not keen on another Dwarf race (as much as I like dwarves). But worse is there's a whole missed opportunity to finally get dwarf druids, and could have stone-like animal forms. Not lore friendly I know, but if Tauren Rogues and Draenei Warlocks exist.....why not?
Who caaaaaares, Dwarves are super underwhelming as a race, if you wanna have a race that’s a box feature, do something completely unique like Naga or something, we’re going underground, no reason their can’t be Naga there, especially seeing as Azshara is tangled with the void and the void is a key part of this narrative.
I love Dwarves. I pretty much only play as them in all games possible but this is a really odd addition. There are a lot of cool races still not represented that would have been way more fun to implement like Gnolls or ogres. Instead we get beared women that only 10 players will create.
Everyone hating but this is exacltly what i wanted as a horde player always wanted to play dwarf but didn't wanna commit to playing alliance too. I hope they have similar racials to dark iron and I like that they look like normal dwarves under armor too lol
Your "commitment to Horde" had maybe some value in 2005 but lets face it Blizzard ruined the war in warcraft and now the faction doesn't really matter it means nothing literally

New Darnassus is a horde city bro not even a fucking Dalai Lama would be that enlightened to allow in people who literally burned your home down and genocide to your own people. The only playable race I feel like I want these days is the Saberon. Not to say I won't play anything that comes down the line, but nothing that currently exists would get me excited to make a new character like a cat warrior. I've been a fan of the idea of a tiger warrior since I was a kid, so would love to have a playable one...someday. If not, not the end of the world. Doubtful I'll make a stone dwarf, but never say never.
It's just another dwarf preview is LITERALLY not necessary and when it's end level you won't see any difference between them and the rest of the dwarves gems and all

Vrykul are too big/tall for a playable character. Being uselessly tall is reserved for NPC so that you're always fighting ankles or knees.

Im pissed with blizzard not realizing that the Alliance is shrinking in population. A lot due to that we have Humans, Worgens (humans but wolf), Dwarfs (smaller humans), Gnomes, (smallest human), Dark iron and mechagnomes (small human reskins). Dreanei and Night elfs are like the only ones that make Ally seem exotic. Meanwhile Horde get Zandalari, Vulpera and Nightborne which are completly new races. And now we are giving the horde one ally-race. Cmon! When are blizz acctually gonna give Ally a new cool and exotic race to make people wanna play ally. Complete BS and the path to a dead faction.
Blizzard hasn't cared about the Alliance beyond the bare minimum in over a decade

I would have liked ogres and broken as playable races, but I love the Earthen too! Technically the first "elemental" race to be made playable!
been waiting both for so long. now we got some setup for the Broken to come, but they are still fiercely avoiding the ogres. It is curious tho that they chose gorian buildings and ogres for the new starting zone isle. fingers crossed

You don't need a set up for either broken or ogres. Both groups already exist within the Alliance and Horde respectively.
They make significantly more sense than earthen ever did.

These were probably one of the least exciting races they could have announced. They're pretty cool, I guess, but they don't look very different from the dwarves we already have. Like mechagnomes, they suffer from the possibility to have been super cool but they're just the same race we've been playing for years with a different skin and a couple of doodads added on.
Imagine earthen dwarves which were bulkier and beefier due to having toiled beneath Azeroth for untold generations, like kultiran humans are to stormwind humans. _That_ would have been something I would have been excited for!

But after the shit they pulled in Shadowlands with no playable Venthyr I’m not holding my breathe.

Ah miss the days being Horde or Alliance meant something. Alliance were the "Normals" and Horde were the monstrous Outcasts. Pandarens and Dracthyr?. fine they're beast men but the Earthen? Like maybe if the Dark Irons wanted to join the Horde but the Earthen?

Im hoping that they add other allied races in this Xpac. Especially if they aren't adding a new class. Maybe halfway through TWW lifecycle they will add a couple specific races for Hoard and Alliance

The new alkied races will likely be another recolor elf and orc.
Wish we got something new and exciting, will probably create one to get the mounts and then never look at it again. Wish we got ogres, sethraks, nagas, ethereals, arakkoas (MY BIGGEST WISH), or the more humanoid nerubians since they're relevant for this expac! Love or hate these races, they'd be new instead of just yet another drawf.

You're right! though Midnight is pretty much a elf based xpac... To be fair, I'd rather have another customization rehaul for the existing races in Midnight. Some races are quite lacking and I don't think adding more races and ignoring the existing ones would be a good idea.
We have Void Elves... And the Man'ari. So you're right, anything is possible.
Now that they are gonna release, essentially, a second Dwarven Allied Race, I can't be the only that think there are some of the cosmetic features they added to Races that would have made sense as an Allied Race. Such as the Wildhammer Dwarves and the Man'ari Draenei.

Yeah, having Earthen DKs is a little weird. Neither the Lich King nor Bolvar are making DKs anymore, so I can't see an opportunity to raise Earthen DKs or any DK really post Shadowlands.

Even though we could have had something different, I’m still excited regardless, I’m going to make an earthen shaman since it will fit theme and race and class fantasy. I’ll probably buy the expansion and use the boost on my future earthen unless that’s not allowed
Not being polemic, but I don't see how it is fitting to have a earthen shaman, they are Titan forged, imbued with arcane power rather than elemental power.

Well, why call them earthen if they’re titan’s creation, why not call them Magnetics, shaman fits the theme for the name earthen, but a warrior has titan type abilities so warrior takes the cake for theme

Ah yes, Earthen Dwarves on the Horde who know the ways of the Pandaren monks and were raised as Death Knights and were in contact with the Legion to become warlocks.

Seems to me that I am actually the only exited person about Earthens. As Horde player + dwarf lover, this is the way for me.
Finally, addon about the best race in whole Fantasy.
I'd much prefer them to finish heritage armors for current races, before giving heritage armor for stuff that doesn't exist yet... I don't remember if dranei got there's yet, but where is troll and panda heritage armors??
I don't know why everyone seems to be so positive. It's literally a dwarf with gems stuck inside. There are so many ways to actually be creative

Should have given alliance these buggers and horde forest trolls then added a new allied neutral faction like the Vyrkul or Nerubians.
The ONLY thing I like about this, is that Dwarves have always been my favourite Ally race... but I'm horde, so, well, whilst I would prefer something completely new, it's kinda cool having a horde Dwarf
I probably wont main one of these but Ill def have some fun playing with the customizations. I don't particularly like the rehashed races BUT - I get WHY they are doing it. Over on 14 we have the female Hrothgar coming with the next expansion, and unless there's a huge demand for another race, they likely wont add any more any time soon. Every new body rig means resources are needed to reform every pre-existing piece of gear to a new mesh. When a game gets so old (being around a LONGAZTIME), that's a LOT of work hours/resources that could honestly be going into something more worthwhile then making sure every old armor skinsuit works properly on a new body shape.
While WoW's older gear doesn't really require much (Cause its practically all bodysocks minus boots, gloves, helms, and shoulders/beltbuckles) The gear design has been slowly getting stepped up which means more in depth work to replaster it onto brand new body shapes.
So again, I may not feel overly excited for reused race models myself, but I get WHY its being done so much. (Not saying its the main reason, it still without a doubt plays a part in the choices)
Now just give us non-hunchy undead and darkspear males and nobody gets hurt.
I'm hyped. As much as i love Mag'har - I wouldve loved if we had gotten a swap with Dark Iron on the Horde. Dwaves are my favorite Alliance race, so I'm pumped as a Horde stan to be able to have these guys on my Warband!

Dwarves are cool, but they need to make them stand out a bit more than just a reskin of the starter dwarves. Even dark iron dwarves have a better aesthetic. I don’t think they will though, it seems a bit rushed like they just slapped some gems on a dwarf and made their eyes blue

Not keen on another Dwarf race (as much as I like dwarves). But worse is there's a whole missed opportunity to finally get dwarf druids, and could have stone-like animal forms. Not lore friendly I know, but if Tauren Rogues and Draenei Warlocks exist.....why not?
Who caaaaaares, Dwarves are super underwhelming as a race, if you wanna have a race that’s a box feature, do something completely unique like Naga or something, we’re going underground, no reason their can’t be Naga there, especially seeing as Azshara is tangled with the void and the void is a key part of this narrative.
I love Dwarves. I pretty much only play as them in all games possible but this is a really odd addition. There are a lot of cool races still not represented that would have been way more fun to implement like Gnolls or ogres.
Instead we get beared women that only 10 players will create.

Your "commitment to Horde" had maybe some value in 2005 but lets face it Blizzard ruined the war in warcraft and now the faction doesn't really matter it means nothing literally

New Darnassus is a horde city bro not even a fucking Dalai Lama would be that enlightened to allow in people who literally burned your home down and genocide to your own people. We are not talking about normal folks but warrior who did it actually.
The only playable race I feel like I want these days is the Saberon. Not to say I won't play anything that comes down the line, but nothing that currently exists would get me excited to make a new character like a cat warrior. I've been a fan of the idea of a tiger warrior since I was a kid, so would love to have a playable one...someday. If not, not the end of the world.

As a long time Fan of Dwarves, The moment I Heard the Words "Natural" and "Can Join the Horde" Not gonna lie, The Inner Dwarf in my wanted to go on a crusade to correct this grudge and hearsay.

not only did they give us retextured dwarves AGAIN, but they didn't even bother to give anything to the horde. if their team is too lazy to make a new race, why even bother? the game already has too many
