First time seeing an Amar Toy! Very good attention to detail 👍🏻 That Cherry Red is a superb finish. Tricky handling all those Crome parts! Great job! 👍🏻😎🇨🇦
GREAT JOB- I like 2 C a little detail on the front grill & the interior needs some extra detail . also , paint on some tail lights = Ready 4 car shows then
I wish it were as easy as it looks. This was my first tin type toy and I wanted to see if I could work on metal this thin. The chrome work was about as thin as a soda can. Quite nerve racking trying to get them polished without bending or breaking any pieces. I am working my way up to fabrication of parts and full on body repair. I am learning all of this as I go, so the level of difficulty will increase, as well as the quality of the end result. Thanks for watching.
Great job. However the original paint was 99% there. I love this new colour, much better than the original but still it's takes the originality away... the body of the car could be just polished like the chrome( steel) parts and trims. But I enjoyed watching this and it looks great
Thanks for the feedback. These cars are pretty common and they are not very valuable so I thought it would make for a good test subject. I wanted to see what I could do with really thin metal. On the more rare and valuable cars, I will be returning most of them to as original as possible. Thanks for watching!
The original color was the blue you see but they did make a red one and I really wanted to see what the candy apple red would look like with all the chrome polished. I really like it, what do you think?
it actually looks good. But if we talk about originality, then there may be problems when selling, if you are for yourself, then there are no questions)
These all are for my own collection. I am trying new tools and methods to try and perfect the processes. I have several high-end rare toys that I do not want to restore until I am absolutely sure I can do them justice. Thanks for watching.
Nice restoration. I like the candy red paint. Thanks for the video!
Now that is priceless. Absolutely stunning piece of work.

Thanks for the kind words. The chrome was very delicate and took hours just to make sure I didn't bend and ruin something. Thanks for watching!

These toy '54 Pontiacs we're introduced to the U.S. in the 1980s. I've had several. I kept one, a black sedan.

I would like to have seen you removing the rust from the chassis and body not just the paint.

It doesn't look to bad to begin with. Should be an easy resto!!!

Is this the original color? Or did you want one yourself?
