- This is a tabletop comparison video featuring the CLOCK 43 VS. the FN 503. We will be discussing the features of each one, along with the associated benefits. In addition, we will be comparing the performance of each, and how comfortable they are to carry concealed. Lastly, we will review which is the better overall carry gun. Thanks for watching!
Trigger and recoil far better on 503. My G43 was out the door 2 weeks after I got my 503.
Only took me a day after getting my 503 to sell my 43
My 503 is my edc the tripper pull on that thing is so f* smooth man
I have had 3 single stack 9s. Shield, Walther PPS M2 and the 43. The others had less recoil than the Glock, but the Glock is still around. The others were as heavy as my G26. I haven't looked at another single stack 9. Carry the 43 over my 43x and P365 a lot. Vickers +2 and the 43 is still light and thin.
Which had/has less recoil out of the other 2: the PPS or the Shield?
My FNX-9 pointed me to the 503. I bought an FDE 503, ran 200 rds out of the gate and haven't looked back. Surprisingly little recoil for a Micro, so much so my wife bought one for herself. She stepped up from a .380 to the 503 for her Daily.
I’ve had several Glock 43’s for years and love them. I recently got the FN 503 and find it to be awesome. I love the trigger on the 503 and handling as far as recoil. The 503 will become one of my favorites just like the Sig P365. As far as EDC …I d feel just as comfortable with the 503. Round capacity is a decision each of us has to make. Being a retired cop with 30 years experience tells me most shootings last just seconds and a few rounds fired. So in my opinion, a EDC is not required to be in a long, sustained gun battle so is 6 or 8 rounds enough for what you’re trying to do ?
Just got the FN. Can’t stop staring at it.
I think it looks great. I want the fde version
FN has that affect
I have a 365X, Glock 19X, Glock 21SF .. didn't really want a 503.. until Academy put them on sale for $299
Same here, $299 SOLD.
@@charleyrider9775 for the price of a Taurus I'll keep it in my go bag. I'd rather have 8+1 with no jams than 12+1 rolling the dice.
@@jeffcooper5026 Which is your fav? I also have the 365X and 19X, but I don’t have the 21SF.
@@InvestWithFFI Can't beat the 365X for concealed carry although the heat index in TX has been around 120 so I find myself in T-Shirt and shorts and I'll drop a Ruger LCP II in my pocket with Underwood Xtreme Penetrators. If someone is breaking into my home its the 19X with 19+1 and a Holosun Circle Dot and Olight. It nearly shoots itself.. for the life of me I can't figure out how that gun did not win the defense contract. I ran out and bought a P320 when it became the Military choice.. I loves Sigs but I HATED that gun. Now there are all kids of safety lawsuits .. glad I got rid of it when I did.
@@jeffcooper5026 ahh ok, makes sense. I love my 365X for concealed carry, and I love the 19X for home defense, same as you. I’ve also been looking to get a slightly smaller gun for deep concealment / hotter days, so I’ll take a look at that Ruger LCP II. Thanks!
Got my G43 back in 2018 it's a real genuine work horse and after countless shots taken at the range it's hardly ever had a issue, I really think the only hiccups that happened were due to the spring in the magazine not being as strong after heavy usage. It's my go to EDC love to still see it getting well deserved attention, cool vod man.
The 43/43x looks and feels much better in hand.
I'm a FN fanboy and went to buy the 503. Picked it up n it was TOO thin for my larger than average hands! Def something I'll still pick up at some point as a back up or purse gun for a future Mrs!
The mag extension helped me alot with that bub try it out
My 9mm EDC is the G43. My fav extension mag for it is the Fab Defense +4 and it looks like the pistol.
I agree with everything he said but I'd still go with the FN BECAUSE you can always get a glock(43)
Until shit hits the fan again. When any type of panic buying goes on, the glocks are the first to go, especially any of the compact/sub-compact models.
Some variance here imo. I’m seeing reviews where the Glock trigger is breaking over 10 pounds. Grip texture is weak. Factory sights are crap so just add $100 to the cost. For me the FN lineup cleans house in form AND function.
I have a couple of G43s, and neither has a trigger close to that. Maybe a lemon or two out there? I am a big fan of FN pistols, and every time I get a new one that feeling grows. Thanks for watching.
Wow! Must be a NY Trigger! Mine is pulling at 3.14 lbs on average! (Yes, it is the stock trigger)
43 everyday all day. Factory Magazine availability is limitless, as they’re found everywhere. Glock’s proven ultra reliability is second to none. Glock mags are $10.00 less than the 503 mags. That loooonger trigger reset on the 503 is a huge killer for me. When rapid firing under stress, the longer reset just sucks. Glock aftermarket accessory support (holsters, sights, etc…) are second to none.
My 9mm EDC is the G43. My fav extension mag for it is the Fab Defense +4 and it looks like the pistol. It's so light and best for the Texas heat and humidity.
I live a couple hours away from the Smyrna plant and I can walk in three with my Glock and they will go all the way through it for free. Plus all you said.
One heck of a comparison. I will stick to what I know. Glock
I would not buy either of these. But your review was very informative.
My everyday summer carry with a Jackson Leather Works custom holster. The thin grip works well with my short fingers.
I know the FN is very high-quality, but that 43 grip fits my hand perfectly.
For me the FN IS THE STROKE!
Glock fanboys can not comprehend the fact a 503 is better than a 42/43 and doesn't need an aftermarket .
FN better
How so? Better for who?
People who don’t really shoot can’t comprehend that the shooter has more to do with the action and not the gun. Want a smooth trigger, shoot more, break your gun in.
Been looking at the FN 503 and CZ P10M for a pocket carry.
Fn all the way. Best handguns made
Which size sticky holster did you use with the 503?! I reached out to the company but didn't receive a response...
got them both, the 503 is by far the better gun.
shield PLUS is BETTER than BOTH !
After a year of shooting and carrying the 43 my trigger got butter smooth 🧈👍🏻
Mmm. Well not allowed any pistol here so my choice is somewhat academic. Yet! Drum roll.. I would pick the 43. Think it lends itself to a faster concealed draw because of the grip angle. Moreover and as mentioned is a very well supported and reliable staple.
Move to a free state.
I bought a wonderful Galco leather OWB holster for mine. Great for the summer.
Do this with the Glock 29 and Springfield XDM 10mm
From what I’ve been noticing is that. Glock is the only 🔫 people love like it’s the only 🔫 brand out here.
The lady FN I got. I contacted GAN holsters. They didn’t carry it or make it. But I asked and they made one for the gun and it’s amazing. GAN holsters make the best holster. FN is a fantastic gun and you can find stuff for them and if you go with a company like GAN. You’ll get a crazy good holster for a really good price and fantastic customer service.
I’d go G43 and get a magguts +1 and +2 follower replacements. That gives you up to 8+1 with minimal grip length increase.
This was exactly my recommendation. Plus, Shield Arms is going to release a 'stack and a half' magazine to increase capacity soon.
@@TheGunnyBadger03xx I would never run a shield arms product on my edc. I have the 15rd for the 43x and i get 1-4 malfunctions every 100rds. I have the magguts +2 in my 43 and between 1200-1500rds I have 0 malfunctions.
It's gonna be Glock for me. Glock 43. Glockamole.
Hate I missed the 299 sale at academy
I just bought 2 for $250 each at my local gun store
Glock 43x with shield arms 15 round magazine and call it a day.
I just got a PSA Dagger frame. I wouldn't go with either because of the investment in The G19 platform.
509 better
@@4kkhabir733 not the trigger LOL!
G43 👍
Great video
How's the accuracy with the FN 503?
Amazing. I shoot mine as well as a full size.
@@MarauderSig You prefer shooting the 6rd or 8rd?
@@igorg.8624 I prefer the 8 round, but I can shoot the 6 round flush magazine well also
Do it with the new Reflex by FN! :)
43 All Day!!
i like the f n better glocks are great but over rated There are lotta guns that are better than glocks out there
The FN 503 is a firearm for the FN fan boys. Because it wouldn't make sense to buy one when the P365 and the Hellcat is out there
I don't 100% disagree but the 503 is so much thinner, I'd say its more flexibility n use. 43 will be too big for some women that don't want to print, better for pocket carry or belly ban. 43x def wins when it comes to capacity and mag options!
The 503 looks ugly asf haha
TRUE LOL
Glock all day the grip on the fn sucks, worst single stack gun ive shot
Aftermarket makes the glock better? I can't believe I watched this load of crap.
My guns are better
No, my Dads wifes kids guns are. Thats me.
@@meatballs2849 do you have a rocket launcher and a m16 and a grenade launcher? Didn’t think so …
