unless you're firing as soon as you're reloaded and pen each and every shot, the impact intuition has on your dpm won't be noticeable. Also, it can help your dpm too by switching to premium shells in situations you need the extra pen, you'd otherwise either fire what you have and reload or just reload directly. On the STB-1 for example, intuition gives me a 1,37 shell switch time, VZ-55 gets 3,6 drum switch time, etc. All in all, whatever dpm drop you get on paper you won't be noticing on the battlefield, but you will notice how helpful the perk can be, expecially for people who don't just spam gold willy nilly.
Simple answer: No, type 59 is okay, but the gold is the same thing, stop wasting your money on wargaming

Running rings around higher tiers and utterly terrorising everything down to tier 4 that didn't stand a chance with it.
I also remember WG bowing to the community vowing that this was a one-of mistake which they would never repeat, as premium tanks were supposed to be slightly worse versions of tech tree tanks with better economics 🤣
Yes, I still have the type 59 but it gets its ass handed to it in most battles. Oooooh, the good old days when it was the scariest vehicle on the battlefield.
@@brag0001 I got mine when they first sold them, and it did see tier 10 as many times I was toe to toe with an IS-7, It was too good and they herfed the turret as it was taller and stronger and out classed the normal T-54 and maybe what the T -62a became.
Most gold ive had is 500 when reaching second division in ranked
Once i won 1500 with the 1 VS 1 tournament.... I bought premium days and finished the grind for the TVP
Most I've had was 20k after 7 years of tourneys and ranked.

The only tanks worth while during this event has been the 268 v5 and the AMBT because AMBT is a completely new T8 and the 268 v5 is only available on the console and the Chinese server and has been in the game since 2016 so for me it's a rare tank.
And I doubt you’d see the 268 V5 anywhere again other than another auction or black market. Which even then is a rare chance it’ll pop up
I would not say the 268 worth it, it is not a good tank at all.. I've seen only 1 good performance with it in my matches and it was a streamer.. I mean it worth it if you like to collect rare tanks
@@marco002 it’s worth it for me just cause It completments the SU-130PM having the turret and all. Plus I play my t30 and t110e4 like a pseudo heavy anyways, second line support behind the heavies. I’d say I like it more than the E4. The fact that it’s sporting a 750 alpha, with 303 mm of penetration with the same accuracy on a fully rotating turret feels like the tank is more flexible than the E4.
@@_MrBread E4 is also a bad tank, same for SU-130PM, I got it for free from marathon and I've never ever encountered with a soo inaccurate tank.. the first time I could trade in I did it
You know, I played 268 v5 a few years ago back in China(a few days free trial). But after ten battles, I realize it sucks. Actually, the most exciting tank in this event is the WT12 in China server (replaced 113BO).
Yes, the whole event was dissapointing, but I like this direction WG is going for. Releasing more reskins for lots of money is better for the game than releasing more new OP premiums, people should stop complaining about these reskin given how beneficial it financially is for WG while aslo being 100% not toxic for the regular players. Wargaming has my blessing for continuing to do that, even though I don't have money nor interest to put into these skins (well, if they release skins for my all time favorite tanks I may have to change that statement lol)
I'd be okay with what you suggest, if the price point was reasonable. They are asking for 50 dollars plus for a reskinned tank. Skins should be 5 bucks or less.
it's too late for this move by WG !! the games is flooded by mistakes that wg doesn't seem to be caring to fixing them and instead try to milk as much money as possible!! (blueprints that make people reach higher tier faster without even mastering simple mechanics , HE nerf without matching it with a nerf to armors of some inpenetrables tanks even with gold rounds, the matchmaking , number of artys per batlle , number of wheeled plagues per batlle , tha cap of number of same tanks per platoon (imagine a platoon of 279e in a batlle?) even with tech tree tanks (like the videos of platoons of 268.v4 lately seen in some youtube videos ), maps reworks and map removels ,etc ..)
@@tesserthelost I disagree, skins should be whatever people are willing to pay for them. I want wargaming to make money so they keep making the game. As long as there is no advantage in battle, let the whales spend.

When it was originally released in China, didn't it give owners additional credits (over and above the standard prem tank)? I can recall hearing stories of whole teams partaking in the team killing of any member of their team that took a T59 Gold into the battle.
Totally, I remember when it was killed on sight lol. I think it costed like $250 though

The whole event has been dissapointing. AMBT was the only one I considered bidding on, but then I remembered I already have Progetto and Bisonte so decided not to pay the over inflated gold price caused by the auction.

Correction, the event was disappointing for you. But what I find questionable is, why are you surprised. Its basically a mini Black Market, so everything in this event would be hugely overpriced by sheer virtue of how it works.
However apparently there are still more than enough people that wanted the vehicles, and therefore most likely consuming all stock. In that respect it was a good event for WG.
Just count yourself lucky you eventually didn't fall for the outrageous prices of the vehicles.
@@trentens991 Even at 1k over it's still considerably more than many other tier 8 mediums value, many of which are around the 7500 area. And many players have ended up spending a lot more than just 1k over.
@@skorpion7132 Yep, glad I didn't fall for it. Outragous prices for reskins. And the 268v5 isn't for me, I mean it's a TD that plays like a heavy but doesn't have reliable armor. AMBT will likely come up again eventually in the store or bond shop or somewhere.

The only tank I went for during this was the AMBT, which seems like I made the right call since it's the only tank that's completely new and unique, and not just a reskin of an existing tank.
unless of course you would have missed any of the reskins and wanted them badly :)
I also only bid on the AMBT, but since I wouldnt play it more than 1,2 rounds and have to buy equip etc, I decided to bid very low and didnt get it.

I’ve played this game on and off since 2011, I have gotten super into it and dee into clan wars where I get a tier x reward tank, but I have never had a type 59, I didnt buy it when I could and then I’ve missed all the other limited releases. The one tank I’ve always wanted is the type 59 and today is finally my day. I know a lot of other people are disappointed with this but I’m beyond happy :)

And this waayy too much to ask. You know that WG is just using this event to milk u whales out of your gold which you got through the lootboxes, right? The gold prices in this event are beyond extortionate. What's even more sad is, that this tactic of WG obviously works. Now that you all have wasted your gold you are now ready for WG to sell you even more gold for the upcoming black market. Players like you who literally waste hundreds if not thousand of bucks per year for a single game are the very reason as to why the gaming industry sucks nowadays. I'm all for supporting a game I play a lot, but putting that much money into it is waayy over the top.
Got that one for 5,000 gold last year. Never played a single game in it since I also have the OG version for many years already. It's just nice to know you've got something for "cheap" when some other people are paying a ludicrous amount for the same pixels. Also you have to keep in mind anytime something "rare" is put up for sale it "devaluates" any previous purchase you made of the same thing, since it's getting less and less "rare".
And I also got it for 5000 gold. At least at one point I feel special.
Same here, I am a F2P and I also was able to get the tank on the Black Market just for fun. Imagine spending 100k gold on it lol.

I was able to pick up a Type 59 just before they removed from the store in game waay back in time. I was asking my parents so hard, until they buyed it for me 2 weeks before its gone from the store, as a very very early birthday gift for me. :D (My birthday was just 5 months later) I remember when I just destroying every one.. I mean I dont really had the skill in this game at that point, and just deleting everyone from the battle. It was felt like now playing with the 279e :D Old good times.
I remember back in the old days the clan I was in would do Clan Wars with all Type 59s and arties

Hi there QB, just a small addendum on you explanation here 01:00, Yes you could get the Type 59G for 'only' 5000 gold, but remember that there was also an RNG element in that the type had to be one of the 5 offer that were presented to you, buying the key did not mean you would therefore get the type 59G, you could also end up with other vehicles.
well, you could negate the RNG by simply just having every other premium tank so the probability will be 100%. That's how QB got his, he already had all the other premium tanks. Ofc this is just an extreme case, almost nobody has all premium tanks. Just wanted to be technical lol.

I was excited when I was lucky enough to get the 59G the first black market. I remember logging on and wondering what the deal was gonna be, seeing it, going "oh cool yeah why not" and then seeing it sold out immediately. I remember thinking about what a novelty the tank was and how lucky I was to have it. But now, WG just keeps selling tanks. They did it, and STILL do it with the e25, and now no tank is unique or novel enough that WG won't cash in on it for a quick buck so that "eVeRyOnE gEt'S a cHaNcE tO hAvE iT".
Imagine dumping 25k GOLD on something to find out they practically give it away later. It used to be neat to have a Type 59G, now I just see it on the battlefield and cringe.
This is an event for WG. Not for all u fools.

@@exharkhun5605 How would the WT poison the game? Vz. 55, Kranvagn, 279, Chieftain and pretty much every meta heavy would laugh at it, especially when it reloads it's 1.800 clip for 50 seconds. It is huge and has no armor. Especially with improved hardening for more HP and intuition for better use of HE the WT wouldn't be close to broken.
Do you know what's toxic? Having 50 premium tanks on Tier VIII that are better than their F2P counterparts.
@@antonyt3446 Exactly, even pre-nerf Maus and Type 5 wouldn't be as good as they once were, as everyone shoots gold anyway and the meta doesn't suit these tanks at all.
@@exharkhun5605 also forgetting that the game is filled with T10 lights now, and it has 0 Camo. Playing it today would be torture with the occasional amusing game. And it doesn't have the e100 hull anymore so the entire thing is paper. And when i say 0 camo, i mean, literally, 0 camo, lol.
Pure gold is absolutely ugly looking tbh, much prefer the QL's black and gold.
And it's absurd to pay €100+ for essentially just a skin!
Even just some black highlighting of the dragon sculpture would make the Type 59 G look better.

It's more about the folk lore of the tank as what it was to even an IS-7 before all the nerfs because it did see tier 10 and still kicked ass as when the turret was changed as you couldn't pen it.
I really lucked out getting the 59 for 5900. Crazy sauce and beeens man. I wanted to see your equipment and thought it was funny when you said it has really good gun handling because mine doesnt feel that way. Then I see you are running V-Stabs, vents too but that not like vstab. And you are even running food, omg I tried that and oooooooooof.
So either I lost a slot for Modifide Config that works 66% of the time for me because it does not prevent engiine fires. It prevents one Engine destruction " but your engine will still catch fire. And then I find I am getting ammo racked alot too. Every game one or the other will get damaged but not explode at least. So i would much rather have slower load time than burning for 5 or more seconds and also having you tank so recked to drive or anything.
Your field mod choice seems to confirm my suspicions. The 59 is delicate and gets damaged too easily IMO. I do like the speed but when firing the handling seems bad.

Playing a 59G is practically asking to be ganged up on. I've seen people push 59G's on their own team out of cover to make sure they die. It's hilarious.
Not as many of these were available in last year’s black market as people without them would like you to believe 😀. And just to be clear, the Type 59 is not available in the the tech tree, or for bonds, or in the store as you will read below. Whether you agree with WG marketing strategy or not, they will have no problem selling these at substantial more than the starting bid. It’s still very rare; if rather too similar to other mediums in its play style. So I won’t be tempted, but there are going to be those that just have to have it, no matter how crazy the cost.
Meathead gave me a Type 59 during an event I won a few years back. The only annoying thing about it is that fuel tank keeps getting lit up.

An absolute joke considering last year people got this for 5k gold last year as the trade gamble option in the black market, though Im also just very salty because I got this the first year for.... A lot .. and now it's cheap as chips
well, it was a 25k buy at first, the second years auction went for 45k + .. interested to see where we will end this year. I would assume lower than that, because its getting sold more and more often. But then again, its RIGHT after the lootboxes. And ppl have more time and money to spend on games currently, so we will see.

Unrelated to the video i just had an idea, so you know how you get 25bonds for getting a battle hero medal, well WG should make the hardest ones to get, aka the kolabanovs, or rosenais hero, give you 25-50 gold instead or maybe a day of premium, or at least more than 25 bonds, because those are so rare and hard to get that imo you should get rewarded for getting them, tho it should be capped to T5 or 6 + so that people dont just go play op low tier beasts, what do you all think? PS i know that i did not spell the medal names properly.
Why load non-gold ammunition? Even if you pay attention, and switch them as you can, you're gonna miss some opportunity shots you could get with gold. Even if you have intuition, a lot of the times you don't have an extra half a second to reload. It's better to just load full gold and give every shot the best chance to connect.

First time it was for sale they wanted 20K for it. So a starting price at 25K with that limited number means that every winner has overpaid it 2x or even 6x vs every one that already has it. So I'm not gonna bother to bid on it, as I'm sure what I have is not near enough "35K".

So totally unrelated question, my friend. Ok, I like watching your armor profile parts of videos
now there was a situation I had on porky's map. ( that's just what I call it, prokhorvka ... or however its spelled) I'm in my Kv2 with the 152 and without much of a story to tell and no video evidence. I shot an HE round at an ELC and it rico'd. where was I? I was near the north spawn in the forest road maybe 2-3 squares down from the farmhouses. The ELC had In My Opinion over crested the hill but doing the only normal thing to do in loaded Stalin derp tank I fired at the ELC, giving a good head distance gap the shell hit him but didn't to my surprise and pretty much everyone else. So TLDR : could you do a short armor profile of an ELC video or partially explain this in another video with the HE of Kv2 as the player tank? Keep up the great work thanks.

On the ASIA server, this things competitive bid is at 700,000 free xp with three hours to go..... insane. I was able to get the Object 268 V5 for 260,322 free xp.....

Something that GB gave me an idea. WG should make like a auction place where people can sell their premium tanks at and other can bid for them. This would show these tanks real values. Ofc i know that WG will never do that cause most of their money income would be killed
Type 59's gun handling is pretty nice indeed. Great for these nasty snapshots over a ridgeline.
And it's turret armor is just awesome for such a fast tank.
You can also pump up it's camo rating up to 896 points (48.37%). So you can even pretend you are a light tank.

I have the T-59 since a couple of time and I really enjoy this vehicle, but spending thousands of gold for it? Noooo dude, that would be too much for this tank. So I think it's more for collectors than casual players like me 👍🏻
I got the original Type 59 from one of the Christmas boxes, I think the first or 2nd year. It's a good tank, but paying for the gold skin makes no sense.

This event wasn't disappointing at all. AMBT and 268 5 are both new, and pretty good too IMO. These events are meant for super rare, end-game stuff whether it's a skin or not, for people with a lot of leftover gold/ free xp/ credits and not for the average player to find great deals. Like it or not. Is a re-skinned Type 59, or 113 worth 20k+ gold? Hell no.
No QB, Gold Type 59 does not want to have fun. They want to shine!

Best thing about this tank is u can literally fire 100% full gold and still make a profit as long as u hit ur targets (which u almost need to do with the shit standard pen)

Try it. The stats won't tell you, but that tank performs pretty well. I don't know why the 122 TM works, but it does ... probably the high alpha gun with the high pen ...
It's worth every penny, even at auction price.
It would be great if they keep putting rare tanks like this and the on prior of for sale. And hopefully they put the T95 chieftain up for sale as well.
