For a while, before Sumeru archon quests, I believed Paimon to be The primordial one or one of it’s shades but in tiny factor, like when Rukka got smaller for getting rid of forbidden knowledge.
But then Dottore came and used a device capable of knocking out non god creatures. But if Paimon were to be a robot, she could get knocked out. And it will also explain why she is not affected by forbidden knowledge aura or the increase in elemental energy.
This vid did not meant paimon is a robot, in fact it was a linking for apprehension, benben is a relative to what paimon is, thus WATCH THE VIDEO UNTILL THE END.

Genuinely interesting theory! It does make sense in terms of Paimon's reason of following us besides helping us find our sibling. I wonder if she knew about this or just controlled by an instinct/program to help the traveler.
Also Traveler ascending as the new creator would sort of make sense for Genshin endgame. I genuinely can't really see us rescuing the abyss twin and then walk away from Teyvat just like that. There's always a feel that something will eventually tether the Traveler to Teyvat just like the Abyss Twin.

There were 2 things that arrived to teyvat during the age of the dragons, Celestia being the first, and the 'sinner' being the second who came. This sinner is thought to be the very origin of the forbidden knowledge that tainted the lands and caused the entire hell insanity that is the Cataclysm.
According to this user's theory, when the sinner and celestia fought above khanreiah [ possibly the place afflicted the worst with forbidden knowledge ], the heavenly principles managed to defeat the sinner, causing it to turn into a weakened state, forced to retreat into the abyss. However, the damage had been done, and the primordial one ( heavily damaged from forbidden knowledge ) used up ALMOST all her power to completely anhilliate khanreiah, cutting off the source. The remaining corrosion was sealed in by turning the infected people into the hillichurl bloodline [ abyss mage/heralds included ] to concentrate the corrosion and prevent it from spreading. Gigantic nails are also dropped onto heavily infected areas to nullify the damage.
After that, the primordial one would rest and recurperate ( healing herself slowly ) in order to be prepared for the arrival of the sinner once again. The heavenly principles would defend the floating castle from any possible threats ( Including any outsiders ) and prevent them from harming Her while she is recurperating.
That is where the twins arrived, and the god assumed that they might have been infected with the corrosion. So, she sealed them both and separated them so that they dont leave this world, out of fear that the infection can spread to foreign worlds.
Centuries pass, and the traveller has woken up and decides to embark on a journey to find the lost twin, with the help of a floating fairy/robot/celestial creation to guide them.

If she was a celestial creation, then that means her power would be somewhat linked to celestia [ not all of it, but some ]. My theory is that once the Primordial one started healing themselves slowly, all of the celestial energy was directed to them to amplify the healing powers. However, this also resulted in paimon suddenly losing a large chunk of her power, causing her to fall into the ocean and go into a deep slumber. Then, once the Primordial one is healed enough to sufficiently redirect back the power to their original course, paimon would be somehow captured and fished out by the traveller, allowing her to wake back up with her powers sufficiently enough to keep her from falling into hibernation. Due to her non-hostile nature, she befriends the traveller and decides to help find the lost twin as a way to repay the debt that she has with the current twin.

7:19 While this could be true I would also like to point out that other theorists suggested that the mural was about how the first celestial nail fell upon what is now called "Dragonspine." Since Sal Vindagnyr once was a mountain and a land that was very lush and green, until the celestial nail fell and it turned the mountain into what Elsa did in Frozen.
This would probably change the theory a little but people have theorized the purple crystal in chains from Caribert's quest to be a "fallen" King Deshret having a role with the creation of "The Abyss Order" so MAYBE the Abyss sibling is trying to avenge Khaenri'ah while potentially taking the celestial throne as their queen. I have no evidence to back that up but it would make sense plot-wise.

My “Paimon is last surviving moon/closest servant of the Primordial one” theory. (Pls read and lemme know if you think it’s good, bad, or in need of improvement Wei)
1. How she is the closest servant to the Primordial one. Paimon in IRL lore is a demon king and the servant most loyal to Lucifer. All archons are named after demons, their leader is the Primordial one. The Primordial one is the leader of these “demons” which makes him Lucifer. He is the one Paimon serves. Paimon also looks like his servant. We know that some of the Primordial one’s first creations are the four shades and the three moon sisters. We have seen the image of the welkin moon, the sustainer of heavenly principles, as well as the people of his first nation (OG one that was Greek inspired and included dragon spine and the chasm. The only survivors of this nation is khanrea. Khanrea shares the Greek connections and also have the appearance of the OG civilization. There’s a book in genshin about a nation with pale light eyed citizens who were lead by the moon leader thousands of years ago.). All of these “creations” of his share 3 things in common, they have pale skin, white/light colored hair, and the stars shaped pupils. Paimon has all three of these features, meaning she is one of his original creations.
2. How she Is the moon. Lucifer’s name comes from IRL lore of Venus, and how it appears to guide the moon out of the sky during sunrise. Ancient ppl thought of this as a symbol of the devil running from “gods light” (Name for Lucifer actually came from the ancient name of Venus). This is to say that in ancient culture Venus/lucifer fled from the sun with the moon. It makes sense that paimon would be the moon because as Lucifer’s servant she would follow him. But that’s a big leap so here are some other ways she ties into the moon. Appearance wise, Paimons white hair was compared to the white of the moon by an Aranara, and she has many spacey and celestial design elements. She also looks a lot like the image of the welkin moon which makes sense if they’re sisters. Also, smell wise Kazhua said she smelled of the stars (curious of original CN meaning/translation). A big connection, and one we see almost everywhere, is the triquetra (misspelled ;-;) symbol she prominently displays on her chest. The triquetra symbolizes the unison of three things, most likely the three moons. It is often seen in the same breath as the symbol for the four shades, which makes sense because both are Primordial ones most powerful beings. However, what’s unique about Paimons moon symbol is that, unlike any other triquetra symbol we see, it’s upside down. Upside down symbols are the inverse in meaning of the original symbol. The inverse meaning of “the unison of the three moon sisters” is “the separation/betrayal of the three moon sisters”.
3. If your thinking “but, the game says all three moons are dead” here is some reasoning against that. Firstly, it is a common trope to say someone is dead but turns out they’re alive. In adition, the moon gods were giant celestials, their dead bodies are so large they can still be seen today thousands of years after their death. Two moons can be found currently, one is the abyssal moon (floor 12 of abyss) and the normal teyvat moon. The third is missing. It doesn’t make sense how AN ENTIRE MOON would just be missing. That is proof that something fishy is going on with the third moon.
4. How could emergency food somehow be a celestial moon god?? Paimon has amnesia which would explain why she doesn’t know she is the lost moon. As for her appearance it could be a “I took a finishing blow that wiped out most of my power, memories, and size. Making tiny and dumb” story like Guoba. Even if she really did die she could have been resurrected. Ei was killed during the archon war and was resurected by makoto after the wars conclusion. The primordial one is a lot stronger than makoto so it wouldn’t be surprising if he also had her resurrecting ability. Perhaps he chose to resurrect paimon because he was closest to her, but not resurrect the other two because of their betrayal to eachother.
5. Additional EV/ why she follows us around. At times Venus looks like a falling star, one that the moon “follows”. Perhaps the moon/Paimon mistook a certain “falling star” as her leader and decided to follow it/the traveler all around teyvat. This would make sense with the amnesiac/lost power and size “guobafication” story.
6. Summary- Primordial one made the four shades as well as the three moons. One of the moons, paimon, was his closest servant. The three moon sisters turned on eachother and it was presumed all three were killed, but Paimon survived with a fraction of her formal strength, size, and memory. In her weakened amnesia state she was left with her basic instincts. Those instincts were to follow her master, who she has mistaken the traveler as and be a good servant/friend to them. Maybe the little memories and instinct she has left is subconsciously guiding her to her masters throne, where she will put her master in his rightful place.

One thing I thought about when dain said "that throne in the sky is not reserves for you" what if he isn't even talking to the traveller what if he was talking to paimon? Cause then it would make sense why paimon is guiding us through the seven nations to reach the throne of Celestia. Perhaps her goal is to become the ruler of Celestia or even teyvat
Or maybe he’s talking to the the other mc saying that the the throne in the sky (overthrowing celestia) is not for him/her since one of the things we have to do in the end is getting some sense on the other one’s brain

It also could be that the Traveler and their sibling were tainted by the Forbidden Knowledge, which is why the Unknown God didn't want to let us go. This could also explain why she said "The arrogation of mankind will stop now," since the Travelers sibling was the one who freed the Frobidden Knowledge in the Cataclysm. Because of that connection, the Unknown God could have been afraid that we will spread the Forbidden Knowledge in other worlds, destroying them with it.
Maybe our powers were affected by the Forbidden Knowledge too, and the Unknown God had to take them to to destroy the Forbidden Knowledge. But our sibling was affected further than us, since they freed it, so the Unknown God had to do something else to them.
So basically, what I take from the video is that Traveller is the 8th Archon

We already had a storyline involving actions in the future that rewrite the past - Raiden planted sacred sakura in the future which bloomed in the past. So what do we get from this: World has been set on fire once, somebody tried to overturn this calamity, apperently they failed, world shall burn no more(assuming it has been burning at some point), traveler's ascension in the future will put a stop to world burning in the past and there's creator that yet to come😱

My personal take isn't that Paimon/the Sustainer intended the twins to take the throne of heaven, but that we are the final candidates left after something happened to the sustainer. Us fishing Paimon out of the sea was pure luck - neither she nor we know what Paimon is. Paimon's a vital component of PAIMON that had it's memory wiped.

But if what you're saying is true about Paimon's intentions, then i wonder how much longer will the traveler be able to reach the throne you speak of.
