This is very similar to the FG missing only the alternating wraps so it should work very close to the same. However the pulling up is the most important part and this needs to be emphasized more. The knot should be tightened until you can see the color change in the braid.

That's some sort of modified FG knot.
Looks like very thick 30lb braid
Tried it with light line (15lb braid & 15 lb flouro) but it slips. Maybe just for heavier lines? I really wanted to give it a try.
It actually first step is important when you squeeze braid and mono. So doesn’t matter any line.
Looks great and easy. Can it be cast through guides?
