I loved No Doubt and Gwen Stefani was one of the best female lead singers in a rock band. I love to sing this song at the top of my lungs while driving! Also, check of their hits "Simple Kind of Life", "It's My Life (a remake)", and "Just a Girl" for starters!! You're both right, when they separate the lead singer like that it does cause problems in the band, Chaka Khan said that happened to her when she was with Rufus and it happens a lot!! Great reaction!

Locally, they were big before getting Big. Im also from Anaheim, Ca. ( where they are from) did not go to same h.s. but from the same area and i member in h.s. seeing their stickers all over and flyers for their shows/parties. So many connections to them amongst friends and other friends who are musicians in Orange County/Anaheim. They are just slightly older than me, they graduated few yrs before me but was kind cool and crazy when they blew up. My Friends band (LIT) also from Orange County (friends since high school) toured with them and it was really awesome getting to see both them play together at (both O.C bands that made it after years of playing localy) our local venue we grew up going to concerts at (Irvine Meadows) . That was wild.

Update Gwen is married to the country singer Blake Shelton now. Blake has been a judge on the singing show the voice since it started and Gwen was on there for a season and Gwen and Blake connected

This song along with much of the album is about the relationship *Gwen* had with a band member that went sour. *Gwen Stefani* later married somebody else and has since been with *Blake Shelton* for the last *5-6yrs*
At the time that this video was made it was happening in real life they were trying to push Gwen Stefani to the front but she did not want it that way and neither did the guys. She made it a point to let everyone know that they were all equals in the band. They talk about it on VH1 behind the music. This is my favorite band. I love this band more than I've loved any other band.
