Something I'm kind of trying to experiment with is indonesia revolt with ports, because it's a revolt that's written off as trolling, so if someone finds a way to actually make it work it could be like aztec all over again; completely unexpected.

With French it might be best to use grenadiers along with a heavy infantry unit. Either standard musketeer with promotions, royal musketeer, or Irish brigadier

the promotion comes as standard, think all Irish Brigs get promotions. But yeh, with a solid Build it could be decent.
