20 years ago when i played 3rd and 4th edition i wanted a Baal Predator, a Vindicator and to update my metal Whirlwind to the Box Pod version. I didnt get the chance to so its still the case today with how awesome they can look and occasionally play..but with the firstborn culling im very hesitant to invest now as it seems inevitable they will go. Currently building a pack of plastic Firstborn DC to sit with my metal DC models that ive had to strip to be code compliant haha.

Is there any value in a Stormraven as a battle taxi instead of an Impulsor? Better weapons, 20" movement plus it carries 12 troops AND a dreadnaught. I'm thinking two Bladeguard units with Judiciar and Lieutenant, for Fight First and Lethals, along with a Redemptor. Charge up to objective A, dump squad one plus Redemptor for fire support to sit and be obnoxious, Turn 2 charge to objective B, dump squad 2 and Stormraven provides fire support.
I've just bought this setup to try along with a 10 man Death Company unit with jump packs and Lemartes for Rapid Ingress, plus a Land Raider with 10 Hellblasters, Lieutenant and Apothecary (for Lethal Hits and Revive Dead Units) to bowl up the middle. The Hellblasters Land Raider combo is great. When you bowl them out on the Assault Ramp the enemy either focuses on the the bullet catcher while 20 overcharged plasma weapons with lethals spanks them, or, they target the squad that fights overcharged on death, leaving the tank staring them down on full health. Life choices... :)
For lib assault wanna try 5 assault terms with a Chaplin or librarian in Terminator armour with fight first
For angelic I think 5 normal (or assault) terms with a captain or Chaplin with reaction move so you basically force your opponent to stay still or you move into range of the unit (could also use a squad of inceptors to deny opponents movement as well so it harder for them to escape)
I personally think the combination potential is going to be great for us I think we will have more tool at our disposal than before even tho we are losing some great classic models except Seth his sacrifice was worth it for advance charge no wonder BA players struggle to make charges the flesh tears players hogged it 😉
I’m really enjoying the Lost Brethren, despite everyone’s complaints about it. I faceplanted a unit of 5 DC Marines and Captain into a ten man Berzerker squad with MoE. Although I was wiped out, the FoD and explosion allowed me to wipe out his unit in response
I’d imagine it’s brutal for melee armies to play into but probably trips against balanced lists/gunlines

I've been working on painting my brother's Blood Angels. I personally play Lamenters. Your channel has been so fun to watch.
Good for you, Brother! I play a successor chapter of my own devising called the Mournful Lords, inspired by the dark destiny of the Lamenters. Their symbol is a heart with three swords through it, like the Tarot card, also inspired by Lamenters.

Deathwatch can take 2 shields and 2 heavy weapons whilst being battleline, attaching Coteaz also gives a CP generation ability
I don’t know if there are restrictions that might make it a bad choice for BA but seems pretty great for home/midfield objectives.
Also an option to include Grey Knight Paladins.
The Death Watch Thunder Hammers do seem pretty interesting, I'll see what I can do in the coming weeks.
I think heavy intercessors have a really good place sitting on objectives. People need to out way more damage into them than they're worth
Thank you for this. Really enjoyed hearing through all your thoughts and opinions. I also appreciate your approach to trying different types of lists, especially the more balanced approach that I tend to favour myself.
I'm actually considering using the Speed enhancement on a cheaper BG ancient in a unit of 6 BG. That gives you the threat of a fights first and +1A once per game if your opponent really wants to charge you, on an OC14 unit that's relatively durable as far as marines go. I'm feeling this and maybe a terminator unit of some description as my solid objective or midboard sitting units to rack up scoring.
Interestingly you'd keep some OC if you battle-shock yourself too.
Have you thought about using a phobos captain with the infiltrators for the redeploy 3 units ability? The talk about the Repulsar/Dante being way up front made me think of it. He is kind of expensive and just kind of hangs out after though.
Some people rate him highly, I've never really used him.
Only blood angels players think that jp power armor infantry should by any means delete a land raider like its a normal thing xD

Executioner is a bad transport. It's a gun platform.
Impulsors are solid
Executioners are too expensive imo.
100% buying combat patrol instead of 2 boxes of SG.

I am finally getting back into my Flesh tearers after leaving 40K end of 5th ed.
I am slowly making my way through your videos and finding them extremely great especially with the new release BA’s.
I do have a few questions if you don’t mind.
Captains. Do you prefer on foot or jump packs. I see you taking about them a lot and have just built my new primaris jump cap.
2. The whole missions thing is new to me. I have just got the missions deck.
Have you done a video on what are the best missions to take for BA. Etc.

At the moment Captains are useful in both on Foot or with Jump Packs, currently I've been more focused on the foot variant.
I have done some videos on secondaries, nothing for the newest mission deck yet, but for now I recommend playing Tactical over fixed.

What transports would you recommend ?
For bladeguard, I prefer just using the Judiciar instead of using up the Fights First enhancement for them. Using it on a unit that can't easily use a Judiciar seems stronger.
Since we’re losing a few named BA characters in the 10th edition BA codex, any chance we can get a final tier list video for the currently playable BA named characters before some are moved to Legends? 😊😊

I put this on super early this morning and slept through the entire thing. I like to think I was subconsciously absorbing it! Now I'm awake and checking it out. Good to see we are already on the case before the FOMO box arrives. I got one! And I'm back in the Legion.
I'm confused about what you mean with putting Dante in the repulsor having 24" charge threat range. They can't charge the turn they exit a transport. That ability is the entire point of the Land Raider.
They can charge if the transport hasn’t moved.
@ba_commander so are you starting them in the repulsor and just exiting it turn 1, instead of moving the Repulsor itself? Essentially getting 3 inches of free movement. Ok, interesting.

been trying to work my current list, I think LAG would be most beneficial cause I wanna make my jump captain a rage fueled warrior haha. thinking a stormraven with 12 bgv in it cause I dont have a land raider at the moment. I could also swing a termie ancient with assault squad to throw into the enemy and hold mid objective. Anyhow the point update will tell us whats what hopefully! If the sg go down 20-40 points I could swing another scout squad or a jump int squad.
I hope SG points come down a little too!

Played my first game with the new codex against war horde ORKS, won 87-49,
WTC layout, tipping point, linchpin, fog of war.
Very mobile list
Sanguinor, SG/Dante, inceptors in DS.
RI SG turn 2. My ballistus' left a trukk with 4w that I needed popped for the SG, Dantes pistol being S9 now rolled that clutch 4+ and did 6 damage.
Takeaways...the 5+fnp strat came handy agaisnt tank shock for my BGV, only took 2w. So did the advance and charge on DC.
I struggled with anti armour even agaisnt trukks but i had terrible rolls to wound on 80% of my las shots
3 FF units came in very handy, especially on the DC chaplain.
Thoughts, I may try it with 10DC and Astorath, maybe another impulsor with CH/Cap
Keen to hear your thoughts to improve.

LAG is definitely the aggressive competitive detachment that we'll see the most of
Lost Brethren is the more aggressive DT that rewards aggressive play with high risk/high reward buffs
Angelic Host to me at least is the weakest simply because it focuses on the most expensive key elite unit stratagem wise with the most garbage Enhancements known to man that buff them very little to not at all
I think angelic host is more of our shooting hybrid detachment however LAG & LB is are better options it seems on paper especially with there enchantments
however I agree it will heavily depend on the sang guard & with inceptors & scouts & infiltration units like infiltrators or eliminators with lib in Phobos
I think there potential however it’s not most flashy out of 3, I think there might be good terminator combo potential with inceptors cutting of opponents movement option & give the terms a leader with the reaction move enchantment (unless it jump units only I don’t remember then scrap that)
I know this might also sound stupid but putting an apothecary or two in some on foot objective units would be a effective way to keep CP and buff the sang-guard at the same time

Angelic Host force you to play a lot more conservative unlike the other two. Definitely board control instead of outright agressive assault. I think its definitely have play. Inceptor/suppressor/sanguinary guard is definitely a must in this list. Sanguinor shine in this detachment too.
