So I had a thought about the lost brethren. It is the most lore appropriate detachment in the game. Also everyone is assuming that the only way to get below starting straight is from damage, but what about using units coherency? It would mean sacrificing a model, but it’s a way to get the bonus. And again it’s lore appropriate. It’s probably a bad idea in competitive, but it would be fun!
Didn’t think about cohesion. Not a bad idea. But I would rather get there by plasma pistols and at least getting some value out of the points I’m losing to activate the detachment abikity
My only concern with that is opening up the unit to get shot if you don’t blow up. But it’s very death company for one guy to run out trying to take on the whole battlefield, and if that guy had the plasma pistol he might be able to get a shot off and make his points back. Again this is more playing in line with lore than it is competitive.
Putting the Sang Priest with Jump Pack into Legends was a personal blow, my first Sang Priest with Jump Pack was my first conversion project turning that useless Bladeguard Ancient into this a winged Sang Priest, that guy was always an Auto Include in all my lists and he always came up clutch in either making the VVets unnaturally durable, or giving Jump Intercessors that extra bit of AP for them to rip apart tanks and Dreadnought Now I have to retire my baby, that loss still stings 😢
Yeah, I converted my own from a Sanguinary Guard and upgrade bits. He's pinned to a tombstone, up in the air, with the little grail in his hand. I haven't used him once. Angels Sacrifice is sooo strong. In 9th I used it to charge the Silent King with Sang Guard and a Sang Priest (I think, don’t remember the character). Silent King had fight first and was a monster, but had to put all of his attacks into that one character and I was able to kill him. It’s sooooo strong
maybe 3" deepstrike some suppressors to give minus 1 to hit. but their range is so long most likely a waste of a CP, unless you're trying to get on an objective with them. I am definitely looking to run some suppressors in this detachment though.
Great video. I think you've got only one big miss, which is around DC Dreads. I've been running them heavily (took 2 to the Tacoma Open and did quite well with them) and I think you missed some key nuances. The old one has an extra attack in melee, which was crucial for making sure you completely killed things and could consolidate into something else. Yes, you do get S14 instead of S10, but frankly S10 gets you all the key breakpoints you need, especially with twin-linked. More important, however, are the two abilities that you've lost. It's lost +2 to charge v Vehicles and Monsters, which came up in nearly every game for me, especially because it allows free rerollable 7" charges out of reserves. The biggest weakness of the DC Dread was how slow it was, and it got slower. "Driven by Fury" is a fake rule. It looks meaningful on paper because it's good on other units, but with Frenzied Reprisal good opponents were already avoiding shooting it, so now you've basically just lost an ability. People already weren't firing stray shots into my DC Dreads. They were only killing them in melee or relying on overkill shooting activations (TSons Dev Wounds, Scourges, Railheads, etc). Frenzied Reprisal was huge in getting anything killed. The DC dread kills far less in a single activation than you'd expect for its points. 5 JPDC did significantly more damage, for less points, against most targets and were way faster. You were relying on it getting multiple fights, and now it won't hit nearly hard enough to justify the points. In exchange you get some durability (+1T +4W is nothing to sneeze at, admittedly) and a multi-melta (cute, but now that you lost re-roll shooting hits probably pretty forgettable). I would hands down take the old DC dread over the new one, especially if the new version costs more points. Again, overall, great video. Just as someone whose pet unit is the DC Dread, I'm very disappointed with the changes and I think you're overestimating how good it will be (points pending of course).
Thanks gents. Thoughts on Descent of Angels on a jump or terminator chaplain to get him within 12” of multiple DC units to give OC for combats could be useful? 24” bubble of OC for DC

Sanguinius’ Grave clearly says the bearer can fight again so only the bearer can consolidate or pile in. If moving would take it out of coherency then it wouldn’t be able to move but it could still fight as the whole ability rests on the model actually being able to fight against three or more models already.
This might be the first time Mephiston can fight in the game like he does in the lore. It would be great if his sword didn't do 1 dmg sometimes, but we can't have everything. *also, Death Company Intercessors and the Archangel's Shard are for narrative armies. Lazy writing, zero playtesting, zero community engagement during the design phase. Every 10th edition book has been met with confusion and frustration. Patch after patch after patch on physical media, making a 50$ plus book irrelevant (in some cases, before the book even arrives in the mail!) The fact that the majority of the community accepts this as normal is disgusting.
Why I play infinity
Why I primarily play battletech
They take and take and take and give us back scraps, I hate GW. Im never buying stuff from them again, only recasts or second hand.
WTF is GW playing at, all the factions and chapters need the lore and uniqueness.
I’ve lost deathwatch this month, again WTF GW!!!!??
I had a 10 man jump squad with astorath did 22 dev wounds to a stompa😂. Its funny, but the firstborn death company could've killed it in 1 go easy
Gw is really making their game unplayable or fun. They are losing their creative talent and have gone completely toward make da money while giving little to nothing
