One of the best Roman theatres here along with more stunning views
For sure
Beautiful my friend 🌹🌹🌹
Thank you 😊
Looks amazing ☀️☀️☀️
Absolutely loved it here, and definitely going to go back on another trip for sure ☀️😍
I love art nouveau stuff. Always been a favourite style of mine. Ha ha, did you think he was saying frig it!😆 The colour of that water was beautiful. Dare I say it, but that looked better inside than the Colesseum in Rome.
Art nouveau is always a very beautiful style to admire, something so elegant about it for me. Derren’s favourite is anything constructed by the romans, and Italy/Rome is on our list to visit…but next trip or two. This one was a tester to see what it’s like to spend so long in Europe over winter. Yes I did think he was saying frig it 🤣🤣🤣😍
Beautiful, relaxing stroll.....and sunny!....Enjoyed that....and the frigate 👍☺
Frigate….how many times Derren said that during our time here, I lost count 🤣🤣
Another lovely place on our ‘must visit’ list ❤🤞🏻 xx
It is absolutely beautiful here, so much more to see than we covered 😍xx
Some stunning views there, it’s so nice to see rather than the gloom of the uk😂
Jokes…. But could you send us some of that lovely sun please.
Mallissa would totally freak out at those peacocks, she hates them 😂😂
Safe travels guys x 🍷
It’s beautiful weather….although saying that it was raining a few days ago, but the first time we have had it for quite some weeks, so we will take it 👍 Will try bring some sunshine back, we aren’t here for much longer now sadly 😫 I can understand Mallissa’s fear, I wasn’t much of a fan myself, and one or two were acting like they owned the place 😜🤣😍xx
Excellent my weekly does of sun and sea 🌊
Talking of sea wow it’s clear 😀
The architecture is stunning everywhere in cartagena especially like the Roman Theatre wow 🤩
What a treat this week Cassie & Derren 🤠👍
Best wishes Simon 🤠👍
Hi Simon 😍this was truly a fantastic place to visit, so many different styles of buildings all mixed in together, but it all complemented each other…it just worked there as a very beautiful city, and one we will 100% return to for sure, hope your well 😍
Stunning vlog 😍 🍻👍
Thank you so much 😍
That hotel building is so beautiful 🤩
I liked the old buildings in that place, looks really nice! The peacocks 🦚 were lovely, don’t know if they bite though Cassie. Great informative video. Em 💜
Hi Em, hope you are both well 😍 They are very beautiful buildings, and we could have walked around there for a lot longer, but will return again someday ♥ I still have no idea if peacocks bite or not…but these seemed friendly enough 🤣🤣😍xx
Some great statues, well done on researching the info about them! Love all the Christmas decor still in place. Siesta time! There will be one place still open im sure! Good job your incognito 🥸 the theatre was spectacular! Biting peacocks? Whatever next! Reasonable entry prices! Great video guys 👍
It would be far simpler if there was some way to find out there and then on the statues. They are there for a reason after all, but it’s just a name. Then spend ages googling in Spain for website’s that are in Spanish and having to use precious data allowance….rant over 🤣 The theatre was just stunning, and our cup of tea of places to see👍 The peacocks still not taking a chance 🤣🤣👍😍
@@TheBabblingBrookes ah Spain yes, just adorable, if you take a step back from their horrid hearty Mediterranean dishes. We can slay tapas all day long.. can they? Abso not! So from here.. Cabo De Gata.. Granada (worldclasss), north to Segovia, hit the charming Rascifria! Do Asturias, starting at North West and travelling down toSouth East. Cudillero, Arenas, Potes, Cavadonga, cares, all the very best spain has to offer. Think we have done a year of our life road tripping these places, get youwant to krep warm. Do cabo de gata or granada next, plenty warm. Amongst the very best spain can offer..
@@GENerationXplorers we were heading to Granada, but the snow capped mountains and minus figures on the weather radar…..put us off. It’s quite cold inland this time of year, and we were in the desert, but got icicles on the motorhome😱🥶 So going to leave the inland stuff for later this year as we can get here in October, so much warmer weather to experience all the places we want to visit. Plus there has been really heavy snow in the north of Spain, so we are putting it off travelling north until we have to go back 😜
There are so many beautiful architectures. Such wonderful place to visit. Love those views from the high point so much. Very enjoyed this awesome sharing 😍❤️👍👍
It’s a beautiful city to explore, there was absolutely so much more to explore. The top of the city views was just the best 😍
Great vid as usual! Beautiful little place, but the sun was best, I miss the sun 🌞 Hope you are both keeping well, hugs xxxx 🐾🐾🐕🦓
We are both really good, and thank you for asking 😍 The sun is shining and although it’s getting chillier, it’s still pleasantly warm during the day, but probably as cold as the U.K. at night 🥶 Hope you and the fur babies are good as well 😍 xxxx
Smiles are back :)
This was filmed the day that we went out and explored Cartagena after trying the free park up at La Manga and the gas not working. Then came back to a melted warm fridge anyway 😩 But Cartagena is a total stunning place to explore 😍
Those are stunning views! Thank you for sharing!❤️👍💕🤗
Thank you for watching, there are stunning views there. Definitely a city worth exploring 😍
@@TheBabblingBrookes 👍
Lovely video 👍 Those peacocks did look a bit sinister tbf 🤣😂🤣
Yeah…I thought that 🤣😱😍
Another wonderful tour, beautiful scenery. Thanks for chatting with us & taking us along
Thank you, we will definitely return here as there are a lot of things that we want to see that we just didn't get time to do 😍
That's a place I would loved to visit 😊
You certainly wouldn’t be disappointed, we are going back another time for sure 👍😊
Lovely Roman theatre ❤ love looking at architecture like that it blows my mind how they built stuff and it’s still there today! The peacocks were gorgeous - not sure if they peck or not 😬 great vlog guys 🥰 still jealous of your bloody tans!! 😂 xxx
Thanks both 😍 We love Roman architecture as well and Derren really wants to go to Italy. But that’s for another time. The tans are fading as the weather is getting chillier now, if that makes you feel better 🤣😩😍 xxxx
Can you film some rainy days please 😂 all that blue sky and stunning scenery putting us off wanting to come out there 😆😆
Your time is coming. The next video though is going to really make you jealous 😍❤️xx
Looks lovely, dissapointed we didn't get to look around but we definitely didn't feel safe with regards to parking. Getting a bus in was a good idea 😁💜xxx
We got recommended an easy and safe park up out of town, and it was 100% secure. Put it on your list for next time as it’s stunning, and far more to see than we had time for 😍❤️xx
Loved loved loved Cartagena! We went there on a cruise in November 2019. Toulon in France was very similar with the blurred out parts on google maps as they have a naval base too. Doesn’t seem to be blurred out on SearchforSites though! We did a 10 k run out towards Cala Cortina beach (to the west) and once back and changed headed up to the Castle for the amazing views and we had to smile to ourselves as you were filming in the roman theatre and noticed the people walking past at the top, as that is exactly what we did and looked in. So nice to watch this video a reminisce, thank you 😊 x
Oooh, I don’t tend to use satellite view on searchforsites….don’t know why as it would make more sense 🤣 We loved Cartagena, and will 100% go back as I want to do a lot more there. Some local lads told us about a hike up into the mountains between Cartagena and Mazarrón, said it’s a very tough one, but absolutely worth the effort 👍
I did think to myself that I can’t believe we just paid €6 each to get in…but then people are walking around above outside and getting probably a far better view of the theatre for free, rather than us paying to be in it 🤣 😍xx
Cartagena looks a fab place to visit. Love all the information you have shared too 😊 We have noticed everywhere closes between 2 and 5 in a lot of places too.
Lots more to see there than what we covered, and we will definitely go back there for sure as really want to go to the fort and sone other bits. Just run out of time 😍
Great tour round guys. Looks a relaxing vibe like you say. Love the architecture. But I agree a shame not more info on statues etc. peacocks are well known for being able to disembowel a person with their sharp talons 🤷🏻♂️. Just sayin. 😂😂😂. Good to see some sunshine as it is pants in Glos vegas. Be good. Cheers Watto. 👍🏻
Cartagena is beautiful, and definitely worth a lot more exploring and wandering. I knew not to trust the peacocks!!! 🤣🤣 Don’t tell anyone but we had rain today 😱😢🤣😍
Hahahaha PeaCassowaries
@@MsWinnieWitch 🤣🤣🤣
Great look around Cartagena. Safe Journey and have a wonderful week.
Thank you, steeped in Roman history and just beautiful 😍
i follow a couple of van life people and it's always fun to find someone new and interesting. i'll have to check out your van in one of your other videos. thanks for the great tour! 👍
🛴❤
Thank you for watching us and leaving such a lovely comment 😍❤️
Hi Guys, what a beautiful place, gorgeous buildings, we stopped here on a cruise but didn’t have time to see much and I think it was cloudy when we were there, you’re getting lots of beautiful weather, not jealous at all…..much! 😂 xxx
We are definitely heading back there on another trip, stunning area and some great hiking to do, but we ran out of time there.
Regards the weather, we have just hit the cold period and some rain, but it’s still much warmer than the UK. Start of February nearly and the warmer weather is set to return though 😍 xxxx
Enjoyed that guys thanks , a nice step back in time for us. There are stories of Peacocks causing all sorts of havoc in the U.K. , perhaps Spanish ones are more laid back. 😂 We found that all over Spain they didn’t over charge to visit places. Safe onward travels guys H and M
It’s a great place, and one we will return to. We bumped into a couple of local lads and they mentioned about a hike up into the hills between Cartagena and Mazarron is absolutely worth the effort. Going with Spanish peacocks are more laid back…everything seems to have the ‘manana’ chill here 😊
nice vlog, love cartagena thanks guys brings back memories.
Need to go back for sure as there was loads of walks we wanted to do 😍
Derren and Cassie I'm really enjoying following your van life experience, sometimes watching it from Mrs Millionaire's account which we put up on the telly. We're watching and learning as we want to do exactly this adventure in a couple of year's time. Hope there are more ups than downs moving forward for you. Warm wishes from Millionaire Paul :)
Thank you Paul, and Mrs Millionaire and every way to help boost our watch hours is hugely welcomed 😍 There are a lot more ups than downs, and we will definitely be more prepared for future trips and what to bring as essential kit 👍😊😍
looks like you guys are visiying some amazing place, wonderful to watch in cold uk. not jealous at all 😵💫
We definitely are visiting some great places, and not missing the cold U.K. winter 😍xx
Wonderful architecture. Looks to be a pretty place. Lots of history which is always good 😊. Perhaps the statues are just for local people who are in the know haha
It’s beautiful here and the Roman theatre was the main reason we wanted to come. Gave up trying to research all the statues and just admired them for what they are 😍
Thought I was watch wish you where here lol oh and I hope you don’t get sun burn 😅😊
Wish you were here in the sun with us and not van building 🤣😍
@@TheBabblingBrookes hey we enjoying van building in the cold and damp
@@garrenNangela 🤣🤣👍😍
First.
❤️😍❤️ 🏆
Roman Theatre, was well worth the 6 Euro's in my opinion, great scenery, but no pubs 🤣😜🤣🤣
Rhian…we watched your video where you visited a museum…your getting cultured when Dai isn’t there to steer you away into pubs 🤣🤣🤣
Bit different to wet and windy north Lancashire. Best wishes.
Just a little 🤣👍😍
Yes peacocks can bite / nip… good to be wary. 🦚👍
😳 knew they could be 😱😱😍
