    I absolutely love that even just a poster can invoke so many warring emotions. But they all have one thing in common: the emotions are all negative.

    My headcanon with the badge and the enforcer thing in general is that this particular squad isn't under the enforcers, but undwr Jayce and his security team. Cause remember, Jayce as a councilor is in charge of Hextech and more specifically its security, so it makes sense that he is able yo create a task force of sorts that operate separately from the Enforcers.

      Exactly. Even though Season 2’s poster feels threatening to me, I feel more sympathetic towards Jinx than ever because Vi is now not only in Enforcer’s clothes, but has a whole group around her and so every memory Jinx has is being stripped from her and I feel, in a way, Vi’s look of fear is also a look of horror at realizing just how much damage she’s doing to Jinx and that Jinx’s actions are becoming almost more justified💔

    I thought exactly what Squircle said about the two posters. Season 1's poster is Protective. Season 2's poster is Possessive. Which ties in very realistically with Powder/Jinx's fear of losing Vi, let alone losing her to somebody else, ie Caitlyn.
    Season 1's poster shows that Powder feels safe in Vi's arms. Season 2's poster shows not only Jinx menacingly glaring at us with a look that says "Don't even try it.", but also Vi, though not looking at us, but with a look that shows concern, anxiety, confliction, fear... whatever she's feeling at that moment, it's safe to say that Vi is extremely unsettled.

    • @meatballerina
      @meatballerina 4 месяца назад +57

      To add onto this, Jinx may be using Vi’s emotional vulnerability to attempt to corrupt her. Vi has risen to the ranks of the enforcers and is a “good guy,” but maybe after finding out about Vander and how he has changed for the worse (from what I understand he becomes monstrous, correct me if I’m wrong) Vi might feel like she’s failed to save another member of her family. She might feel so isolated and confused that she might crave escape with Jinx (to see the world how Jinx sees it) only to realize she’s been tricked or further disillusioned.

    • @JK-dd5im
      @JK-dd5im 4 месяца назад +30

      I dont think Jinx has an aggressive look, there is nothing predatory over the way she is looking at "us". To me she has a sombre look, something tragic just happend to Vi and Jinx knows emotional trauma all too well. It looks to me like Vi is in shock almost disossiative while Jinx looks straight ahead at the tragedy.
      In the posters S1 Vi is protecting Powder from the world, in S2 Jinx is protecting Vi from one very specific incident. General vs specific protection. My guess is Vi kills Vanderwick, and Jinx hug rather than punch Vi.

      @JK-dd5im I think you're on to something. Though the poster gives off possessive energy, one of the creators did say that season 2 would have characters reverse roles. So your analogy and theory for seaosn 2 isn't far-fetched

    • @siaariel

      I feel very similar to this. S1 poster feels protective, but S2 poster seems more possessive. I also have the impression that Vi is almost suffocating in Jinx' arms, that she looks like she wants to scream, that there is something terrible she's seeing and Jinx' keeps her watching. Also, another detail I noticed is that Vi's hand in the S1 poster is resting on Jinx' head, whereas in the S2 poster Jinx' hand looks like she is grabbing Vi's hair (due to a strand of Vi's hair coming out between Jinx' fingers). Also the fact, that in the S1 poster we can't see Vi's face, we see her head leaning against Jinx' head, but in the S2 poster Jinx is looking at the viewer ist not a deliberate choice in my opinion.

    My thoughts on the poster: the old poster seems as if vi is hiding powders gaze from something (away from the viewer) in that protective nature. While the newer poster feels like Jinx is holding Vi’s head to look AT something (the viewer) in a threatening way. Jinx’s gaze is looking at us with intent while Vi’s is looking slightly away as if she doesn’t want to look at us. While she is uncomfortable, the viewer is also uncomfortable by now being an active subject of the scene.

      And although her mind is torn & she’s caused a lot of harm, Jinx is more innocent and pure than Vy because Vy chose her own actions with a clearer mind. Jinx was pushed to all violence from trauma dealt at a young age. She wants her sister’s forgiveness and love, but Vy’s every move and words only serve to isolate her. I think in some ways, Jinx is not only the protagonist, but Vy is the main villain, made crueler by the fact that she keeps making things worse by trying to help

      @@deyliramirez382 I think there’s no definitive villain or hero in Arcane. One characters villain is another’s hero like Silco and Jinx compared to Silco and Vi. I believe Arcane’s focus is more about different characters who are morally grey navigating complex situations. I also think we overlook how young Vi was when everything happened. Yes, she was older than Jinx BUT she was also a child and she also has unresolved trauma into adulthood and bad coping mechanisms that lead to destructive tendencies just like Jinx . So I think we can’t just paint the characters in black and white because it’s very complicated and complex.

    Don't forget that the S1 poster wasn't a scene or a moment out of season 1, but more a representation of an idea or sentiment that largely encapsulated season 1. Vi being protective of powder. The S2 poster is doing the same thing with a different sentiment. "Jinx being possessive of Vi." and possibly "Vi being traumatized by the whole nothing ever stays dead thing." They're basically telling us this is what season 2 is gonna feel like. Which is a little creepy and 'wrong.' I am very excited for it though. Time for my weekly dose of Trauma again.

      Uhmm i think it was out of a scene in s1 but not entirely. By this, i mean, Jinx's eye look was referencing from when Silco hugged her the moment he decided to adopt instead of killing her. So it makes me wonder why was Vi hugging her instead of Silco? It may be because its just so to convey the concept of s1. With that, it may tell us something about the s2 too, no? There's a lot to think about when you consider this. And Jinx's emotion based on her stare was diff also. What're y'all's thoughts?

      I think their emotions come from their labels. Poster 1 is a protector who knows who she is hugging the weak. Poster 2 is Jinx knowing who she is comforting someone who holds doubts about who Jinx is and who she is herself. That's why Jinx has a dead-eyed look, as she accepts she is the villain. It would make sense that season 2 would focus on Vis identity (and its effects on the Overcity) just as Season 1 focused on Jinx(Undercity).

      @@redlethe8679 Well, Jinx did hug Vi in a similar way on the bridge, right? I feel like it's a mix of her comforting Vi, and her not wanting to lose her to Enforcers.
      I feel like once she sees Vi in that uniform, Jinx is going to re-evaluate everything about the consequences of her decision at the end of season 1. She wanted to push Vi away, yes, but I doubt she wanted her sister to lose herself in the process. It could be a mirror to Vi seeing what Jinx has become in episode 6. Like, "oh my gosh, what have my choices done to you?!" And that's going to lead Jinx to want to tear Vi away from Caitlyn and retaliate against their task force.

    A note around 6:30 about the importance of Jinx looking at the viewer. Being possessive of Vi definitely makes sense. I also want to add that in the S1 poster, Vi looking away while holding Powder almost makes it seem as if the threat she's worried about is no longer present. Or at least immediate.
    Contrast that with the S2 poster, and it looks like Jinx believe the threat to still be very much present. Direct, immediate. Even Vi looks freshly traumatized. It:s like in S1, we have a moment a while after some traumatic event (Vander's death would make sense here). While in S2, it's DURING another event.

    One interesting detail about the two posters-- and i'm not sure what to make of it-- is that in both, Jinx/Powder is looking directly at the viewer, whereas Vi isn't. Vi isn't even facing the viewer in the season 1 poster, but even in the season 2 poster her eye seems to be directed a little down and to the left. Despite the roles and mood having ''turned around', this element of their respective characters hasn't.

    you should also check out the animated poster (an animated version of the possessive poster). Vi's eyes are shaking, as if she's trapped and terrified, locked in Jinx's arms or unable to escape some fate bestowed upon her by Jinx (or something else the two relate on). What does this tell us about the story of season 2? SOOOO many things! Perhaps something happens to Vi (Hello Vander?) that traps her under Jinx's control or brings them together in an extremely unhealthy relationship. love that for them.

    I feel like the theme of the new season is more about Obsession than Possession. We've already seen Jinx get VERY obsessed in the past, and given that she has no one left but Vi now that Silco is dead, it would make sense that she gets absolutely obsessed with her. Her holding Vi like that is more like Jinx is holding on to Vi like a liferaft and not wanting to let her go(to the point where it almost looks like Vi is trapped) no matter what, and the second poster with the monkey painted on Vi's back is almost like Jinx has marked her(either in a possession or just as a sign that Jinx sees Vi as the most important thing/person to her). Obession also makes more sense as a general theme for the entire season, as Vi is likely still obsessed with protecting loved ones, Caitlyn is likely obsessed with revenge(her stern look gives it away), and Singed(the doctor) is obsessed with his daughter and likely created Warwick because of that obsession. It also works regarding other characters like Ambessa(Also obsession with revenge for Mel, whom I think will die), Viktor(Obsessed with science and self improvement and saving lives), and Jayce(Obsessed with regulating Hextech as fast and radically as possible now that he's seen what Jinx did with it).
    Also, I think that the whole Opposite thing is more like the roles are now passed down. In the last season, the characters in powerful positions were people like Silco, Vander and Grayson, all of whom are eclipsed by younger versions/successors/proteges like them. Jinx will be Silco's successor as leader of Zaun, Vi will be Vander's successor as trying to protect those she loves even though the world doesn't allow it and also as a brawler working with the enforcers, Caitlyn will be Grayson's successor as leader or sort of leader of the enforcers working with Vi, who is the new Vander-like character). This btw, may also indicate Caitlyn could die(first) by Jinx's hands/invention, the same way Grayson died by Silco's. The opposite role they're mentioning may be more about how the characters now inhabit the defining roles in the conflict between Piltover and Zaun whereas in Season 1 they were mostly bystanders led by other characters who defined the conflict.

    0:19 I think you are correct.
    The Arcane dev team is VERY meticulous with their world building, every detail was crafted to mean something, people (you included) have been dissecting this series frame by frame, and i don't think anyone pointed out any detail that didn't have at least a basic function of making the world feel more alive.
    And considering the people Vi made friends with after all that... i think her going up the ladder would be very easy, and quick with her abilities and knowledge, she is a very needed boots on the ground talent that Piltover would need after what happened.
    They clearly understood that the Piltover/Zaun situation needs capacities that normal enforcers cant handle well.

    When I see the way Jinx is holding Vi I get the feeling of a possessive person cradling a care and touch-starved person. Vi has the same look Ekko had when she embraced him, but more panicked. As if she's confused/realizing something that she won't like the answer to. She's been through so much already, havig her dead sister revived into a monster be the one to be tender with her? To give the the "same" care she gave Powder? That's terrifying. This monster is wearing her sisters face and giving back the love she had given Powder/was "supposed" to give her no matter if she was Jinx or Powder. I think what we see in the trailer is probably a special task force to go after Jinx and that's why Vi has a gold badge. And I absolutely agree about the possessive instinct over a protective one. Vi makes sense in that context too. Jinx has a hold on her heart that I don't think she'll ever fully be able to be free from, and while that was her driving force before, it has morphed into shackles. She has lost every part of her old life but she'll never be able to fully move on to begin a new one.

    I think the poster of jinx holding vi could be symbolism of how vi feels about jinx. The feeling that jinx is someone thats kinda holding tight onto her soul. It would make a bit of sense considering how vi probably feels alot of guilt for how power ended up like the way she is (jinx). Basically how in the first season vi is holding jinx because she cant let her go and shes protective of her. And now in the 2nd season, jinx is a person that weighs on vi as a character. Like jinx has a tight grip on vi's consciousness and vi has to find a way to get out of that grasp. And the 2nd season might be that journey of how shes gonna get out of that grasp and that mindset, So that vi can take jinx down as a criminal and not her sister.

  • @alphaz27

    My first thought when I saw the poster was that Vi looks uncomfortable and a bit shaken. Jinx has this intense but dead look in her eye and her face is completely relaxed as though whatever is bothering Vi is not bothering or phasing her. The grip on her head to force her to look at something that's making her look so spooked.
    It's an interesting poster that definitely gives you a negative and uncomfortable feeling as you look at it, especially now that we know these characters.

    What stands out to me about the new poster is the damn lighting.
    In S1's poster, I can imagine the sisters in a dark room with one triangular hole facing Powder which is where the light comes from (based on how cleanly the lighting is 'cut' into a triangle).
    In S2's poster, it seems like it's coming from... within the embrace, since the edge of the lighting effect is now a fade. Or maybe it's a torchlight outside of the embrac, but the light doesn’t seem to be landing on Jinx's arm? The only literal source I can imagine is Jinx's hairclip, any other suggestions (perhaps more metaphorical)?

    Awesome theories! Thank you to everyone who contributed to this interesting discussion.
    So I adore the 2 posters and how they compare and contrast with one another - key takeaway being the protective vs possessive tones. But something that I haven't seen being discussed like I've been theorising myself are the eyes. So in the season 1 poster Vi is looking away. She is really struggling facing the situation and so knows she has to protect Powder - so she braces, covering Powder protectively, hoping that she's shielded from the situation, meanwhile Vi looks away to shield herself as best as she can without being protected. This whole thing is affecting her so much that even though Vi is a very strong, brave and confident person, even she can't face the situation.
    Contrast that with Powder who even though she was younger and more vulnerable than Vi, looks directly at the camera, facing the struggles that Vi can't even face. Even though she's being protected by Vi, she much like in Season 1, is trying to prove herself by keeping her eyes open and facing the situation no matter how bad it is. Because the alternative image would have been for us to maybe see just Powder's hair or her eyes squeezed shut but no, her eye is open and visible to us. Also highlighting the contrast between her blue eyes and her future pink eyes.
    When it comes to the season 2 poster it's also very interesting. Jinkx is still facing the camera and staring at the pov shot directly. Maintaining the same direct eye contact from the first poster except she's now Jinkx, not Powder, and her eyes are pink. When it comes to her posessive hold of her, implied by the tight hold of Vi and Vi's hair caught between her fingers, and how it seems like Jinkx has a very tight hold on Vi, enveloping her in her arms, it seems like Jinkx is both being possessive and indifferent/happy for Vi to see the situation before her. She isn't trying to shield Vi from viewing a terrible situation, which could be what Vi was trying to do for Powder in the first poster, Jinkx is perhaps enjoying that the scene that Vi has witnessed/experienced has made Vi so vulnerable that Jinkx can hold her in this way. She wants to be close and have control of her sister and if Vi being confronted with a terrible situation is what it takes then Jinkx is ok with that.
    Moreover in contrast to Powder in the first poster, the 2nd poster features Vi not looking directly at the pov shot. Her eye conveys a lot more pain, confusion, fear, worry as although she's not closing her eyes, her gaze seems to have averted to the side, keeping everything in her peripherals - neither facing it head on nor looking away. Like she's facing a situation that is so hard to deal with but is simultaneously impossible to look away from. Furthermore, from how Jinkx is holding Vi it seems to me like it could be Jinkx holding Vi's head there so that Vi can't look away. She's positioning Vi's head to face the situation, forcing her to look at it. Jinkx is purposefully keeping Vi's face uncovered so that Vi can see everything, so that Vi can feel all the feelings that Jinkx may feel she had to deal with or has to deal with on a day to day basis. Like she's saying to Vi 'join me, feel what I've felt for so long, and we can comfort each other again while we are engulfed by these horrible feelings but at least we'll be together again. You won't be able to leave me again after feeling like this. You'll need me.'
    Jinkx holding Vi in this way also serves another purpose, while it does force Vi to have an unobstructed view to something that she's struggling to face, it also presents us the audience and any character that may be viewing this like a pov shot, with an unobstructed view of Vi. Jinkx is effectively presenting Vi and Vi's struggle in this situation to the viewer - something that from seeing how Jinkx felt in season 1 I can imagine her doing. Like she would enjoy for example Caitlyn, seeing how close and reunited Jinkx and Vi are, even due to terrible circumstances, and Jinkx enjoying how much it would upset Caitlyn seeing Vi like this.
    Sorry for the long comment. Thank you to anyone that takes the time to read this. This just how I interpreted the posters so feel free to ignore this if you disagree etc. My opinion and theories are by no means fact.

  • @petarpetrov6385
    @petarpetrov6385 4 месяца назад +10

    I have another interpretation of the new poster. I feel like the reason the image looks so unnerving comes mainly from the expressions of both characters - Vi gets a hug from her sister, but her face shows that she doesn't feel comforted at all. She is looking down away from us, suggesting she is probably *thinking* something like "Why does this feel so wrong?". There is NO CONNECTION, it's a *loveless hug* and that can be further confirmed by looking at Jinx's stone cold expression. Another thing that continues this line of thought is how in the s1 poster the lighting around Vi is warm, while in the new poster the lighting around Jinx is cold.
    So while there is a lot of evidence for the "protective vs possessive" feel, I do think that Vi desperately trying to get her sister back (even though it feels wrong) is definitely at play here. Knowing what show we are talking about, *it's probably both* and we could even be missing something that we won't understand until we've watched a bit of the season.

    an interesting thing about the posters is you can see vi looking away from whatever she’s guarding powder from (almost as an “i tried to keep you from seeing this, but you saw it on accident anyways”) cuz she doesn’t rly want to look at a traumatic event herself nor does she want ppl she cares about to see that, while jinx and vi are looking in the same/similar direction, which could show how jinx may weaponize a traumatic event to get more of vi’s time and care, which ties back into that “possession” the season may tackle

    I want to quickly talk about Vi joining the Enforcers and how this will be very useful to the story. Because I see a lot of people upset about this matter, and I don’t know why? They don't even have a convincing reason, so I will just clarify the matter, and I hope you understand it because it will be an important and inevitable matter in the coming season. These people should take it more logically, not emotionally.
    The first and most important thing if Vi joins them is not necessarily that she wants to or that she would like it, but for the sake of her sister in order to protect her from the people who will seek to kill her from Piltover, including Caitlyn of course. If she joined them, she would have more chances to know their plans and what they would do if they wanted to attack Zaun. Vi will also be able to help Ekko and his group during the war when Piltover decides to attack Zaun. This is inevitable, of course, in Season 2. So I hope you'll think about my words and theories a little and apply them to Vi's character. Is it possible that Vi will leave her sister and join the Enforcers in order to simply kill Jinx and forget everything she did for her, or will she try to take advantage of this opportunity and try to save her? And also Ekko, won't Vi help him in this war and protect him? If there's one thing Vi excels above the rest of the characters, it's sacrificing herself and her own reconciliation in order to protect the people she loves.
    "Vi does the things she hates to protect the people she loves"

      Yes, Vi is obviously there to protect Jinx, but it's more than that. Jinx and Ekko are the only people she really cares about in Zaun. She was always more family-oriented than ideological. I think this is also a recurring theme in the show: pragmatism vs puritanism.
      For pretty much every single conflict in the show, you have two characters who agree on the most basic level, but are at odds in terms of execution: going for what's right at its purest form, or opting for something lesser, or dirtier - but more effective/safer.
      First season Vi is trying to figure out where she stands on this. She's the puritan compared to Vander, but a pragmatist compared to both Jinx and Caitlyn. Given that Jinx decided to take her puritan approach to its extreme, it could have pushed Vi to take the other direction instead.

      I agree with @djx7134. Silco's people were already pissed with Jinx when she killed those enforcers with the bomb. That, plus her terror attack on the bridge, meant more Enforcers and supervision from Piltover. A factory was raided in retaliation for Jinx's actions, leading to people losing their jobs and the child of a baron being killed. And now, when they find Silco's body or are told that he's dead, they will blame Jinx since there are machine gun rounds in his chest. Silco's right hand and successor already hates her.
      In every instance we've seen, Jinx actively makes life for the people of Zaun even more shit than it already is. I think that we can see in this teaser some clever character creation. We don't not know what's going on with Vi during its action, but it's clear she doesn't feel comfortable in her new role, with new crew AND in new uniform which doesn't fit with her hair. What's more, she's wearing uniform's collar unproperly, which could reflect that even though she's now enforcer (or even a sheriff!) she doesn't want to fully go along with piltover forces and doesn't want to follow their routines (or maybe she doesn't know their routines that well and it's sign of her being a rookie or she was late for work and didn't have time to take care of it OR could be a mix of those. Anyway, I really like small details like this one that let characters express themselves in soooo many more ways than just using traditional dialogue

    Man I was waiting for this since the poster came out.
    2bSkyen's analysis I think was really interesting. On the the theme of characters becoming "opposites" he mentioned the possibility of Jinx taking Vi's role in Season 1 where she actively is trying to get her sister back except this time it's destructive.
    Just like how Vi thought removing Silco would bring Powder back, Jinx thinks getting rid of the Enforcers will bring Vi back.

    The poster makes me think of the tea party scene when Vi is throwing out the names of ppl who loved her and Powder, but instead of loving memories Jinx’s mind distorts them into monstrous images. The poster is the juxtaposition of that scene. Vi is finally seeing the monsters (probably with the Vander realization) and Jinx is being the supportive sister, but the only way she knows how to express that is in a possessive way.

    This show is amazing. The 2 posters are such a head fuck. Like you said the first poster feels right, the second one is giving “holding hostage”.
    Edit: Also, the implication that the 2nd poster may be Vi’s reaction to basically seeing a zombified Vander is so fucked up. But honestly aligns perfectly with what the show has done. I’m scared lol.

    Squircle's reaction was perfect for seeing the emotion of this posture! (Thanks for being vulnerable!)
    I wish you would have talked about the clues on Vi's face: Vi isn't looking at us, (the audience) she is looking into emptyspace, like she's in shock. Unlike Powder in S1 posture, she is looking directly at us because she feels protected, or safe, SO she can look at us (her inner world is at peace, so she allows herself to be curious about the outside world). Vi is completely overun by the outer world (from what was traumatizing her) AKA Vander/Wolf monster, or possibly she is in shock BECAUSE Jinx, who Vi only sees as distructive, has this protective attribute that Powder demonstrated in S1 E1 S1, (When they found out their parents were dead, Powder comforted Vi).
    Ya'll said this more or less, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening as always!

    The other thing I want to mention is that in the second poster Vi is forced to look at that probably traumatising scene infront of her, Jynx is forcing her to look. But in the first poster Vi is trying to protect Powder but she can still see despite of her protection. Like how Vi couldn't fully protect Powder she couldn't fully stop her from looking.

    From what I can tell, Caitlyn does become the new Sherif of Plitover. While also making Vi another, Sherif? This makes me question that she only did it because Caitlyn only trusts Vi to stop Jinx and all that.

    Squircle's reaction to Warwick was amazing! To be honest, my first reaction to the character being introduced into the second season was, "This is awesome." I also fully agree with the analysis over the posters. The only thing I'd like to add on top of the new poster for a potential idea that's echoed within another comment I saw (because I wanted to give that credit and I thought of it too, just less thought out) is that Vi almost looks forced to look in that direction. Maybe as a "look what you did" sort of deal?

  • @NightWing1800
    @NightWing1800 4 месяца назад +3

    I also got possessiveness from the Jynx/Vi poster with Vi being distressed or panic. Vi to me in that moment almost feels like she's back in that moment of the burning building where they were kids but now instead of being the angry sibling she's the one whose confused and whose world is falling apart. On one hand, I can see this being a foreshadowing of their reaction to Warwick, but another thought I had was that what if this is also their new relationship going forward? Something like a Joker and Batman where their struggle with one another is a deadlock because neither can ever take the necessary actions to end things and where Joker wants to break Batman. I can see powder making her terrorism towards Piltover not about Zaun and Silco but about Vi. Jynx never cared about the war, it was always about the people she cared about and now that is solely Vi. She doesn't want to kill Vi and she doesn't care that she's killing Piltover's people, she cares that hurting Piltover hurts Vi and wants Vi to be like Jynx so that she can love her again. Meanwhile Jynx isn't going to be able to kill Jynx and might even struggle with the idea of arresting her because she still loves powder. They're still sisters.
    And Vander slots right into that in a way that I think makes sense to. Before Vander becomes a monster, he was already someone who struggled with violence and how to apply it to protect his loved ones. That's his core struggle and I don't see why that should change as a monster. Now he fits the classic werewolf archtype of "I can lose control at any moment" and so we might see him switch between protecting his girls and hunting and lashing out. Jynx being possessive does not want Vander back in Vi's life and so she's hunting him which provokes the beast part of Vander, and Vi is trying to appeal to the human part of Vander. I also think we won't see three variations of the hug, but four. If the poster for Vi hugging Powder shows Jynx being held be her father at the moment she accepts a new path in life, I think we will see the humanity in Vander come forward long enough for him to hug his daughter and set her on a new path in life where she accepts some kind of ideology, either from the old Vander or something the new Vander will be representing for her or her enforcer lifestyle. Maybe Warwick will be the catalyst that teaches Vi how she has to approach Jynx and other people close to her that her job and morals puts her in conflict with.

    I noticed some interesting details in the official poster of the second season of "Arcane".
    In the official poster of the first season, Powder's "new" name was hidden in her bangs. They did the same with Vi, hiding her name in her eyebrows. The name manifests itself in the form of Vi's tattoo on the cheek. It resembles the Roman numeral six, and six is actually a very unusual number.
    Another detail is that we can clearly see the omen that Powder will become Jinx, that she will strengthen in her new self.
    It is also a foreshadowing of permanent change that has occurred and cannot be undone. However, we don't see any changes in the Vi. She's not wearing goolgles, and we can't tell if she's wearing an Enforcer uniform. Thus, there are no signs in the poster that Vi will change, and it is unknown whether she will remain an Enforcer forever. Moreover, on both posters, Vi never breaks the fourth wall. She is not looking at the viewer, we can even assume that she is looking. On the poster of the first season she is turned away, on the poster of the second season she looks away. At the same time, with Powder on the poster for season one, we can assume that she can look at us, and with Jinx, we can confirm that she is looking at us.
    We also see that Vi is about to cry (?)
    There is also a little Easter egg, we see an Omega hidden in Jinx's tattoo. This is the last letter of the Greek alphabet, and "omega" means the end.

    Ok so the posters... Mad credit to these artists for showing so much emotion in a picture. The season 1 poster, powder's eyes show a mixture of fear and safety (I'm scared of what's out there but I'm safe in these arms) while in the season 2 poster vi's eyes just show blatant fear (I'm scared of these arms around me and I can't do anything about it) while jinx's expression seems over protective like she's saying vi is her's and everyone else is a threat and it's just crazy that the artists r able to convey all this through just the eyes

  • @cc2345

    I think its funny that vi is wearing the proper uniform but the first button is undone so she still has that hot sexy badass look she is known for. Also the season 2 poster I am getting possession from Jinx. (Edit I didn't realize that this was being said later in the video lol) Also Also Also! Someone made a beautiful animation with the season 2 poster that I believe captures the exact motion that I feel looking at that poster. I also saw that new release poster and I think that it, and everything else that we are seeing, are hinting that Vi turning to the enforcers and choosing love over partner instead of sister. Brings Jinx to a point where she will get her sister back no matter what. Like maybe she commits acts of terrorism to bring Vi closer to her. Maybe Jinx's attempts to make Vi have Stockholm syndrome. Like all i am getting is Jinx's warped mind is thinking the worse things will get her sister back. I noticed in the new poster that dropped Vi's hair grew out in the back at least. The pink part is alot longer than how I remember it being.

    Edit: Didn’t realize they would talk about exactly what I was saying in this comment later lol) I wrote the comment before the conversation of interpreting the posters
    I’m ngl to me the season 2 poster gives me a possessive vibe. Like Jinx has always worried about getting replaced by Caitlyn after she first saw her. So it almost seems like Jinx is being possessive over Vi like she is hers and only hers. Meanwhile vi just looks concerned and maybe confused. Like something isn’t right. Like there’s a tense feeling that maybe something could go wrong or something is going wrong

  • @Jclarkis
    @Jclarkis 4 месяца назад +7

    Vi doesn’t become sheriff, Caitlyn does vi does however become “the piltover enforcer” I don’t think the badge indicates that. I don’t think the poster is a literal scene from act 3. If it’s representing something it would be her possessing and protecting her from whatever the greater threat of season 2 is because there WILL be another threat besides jinx. Whether that be Warwick or someone else they introduce I think vi is disappointed in this teaser because they can’t find jinx and the reason she’s an enforcer is so that she can find jinx I think jinx won’t appear in the first act AT ALL and the cliffhanger for ep3 will be hey we have this lead to jinx

    It feels like the poster 1 is implying how both sisters are opposites, in their world view, character, etc, while still showing their love for each other (or more specifically vi's love for jinx). In the 2nd poster, its as though jinx is forcing a realization onto vi, as both now somewhat see the same thing. Vi is clearly more hesitant to accept perhaps reality presented to her or accept jinx's actions(?), whereas jinx seems more comfortable and accepting of her true nature and objectives.
