Here is a video of me experimenting with Vallejo FX Frost paint in Resin, Something I have never seen done before, again, If you have a Channel and try this in resin, please tag me so we can explore and grow this together. I purchased my Frost paint from Ebay for less than $4! Hopefully this can unlock a lot of uses for resin artists! So In this episode, we try coasters! Still a lot to learn with this stuff!

I really appreciate how you do not let small “failures” bring you down. You enthusiasm is contagious. Thanks again Daniel.
Thanks Mike 😊 Very welcome
10:05 That looks like dendritic quartz 😱 That is beautiful!
Practice makes perfect TEACH!!
Sure does 😊😊😊
Thanks Daniel for your experiments pushing new techniques.
I watch you religiously!
My pleasure! Thank you 😊
Love the video, love the help you give out. I really hope people started watching them from start to finish, it must be very frustrating to have people just fast forward to the end when you put in all this hard work🙁 keep up the hard work tho! Many of us really appreciate it 😊
definitely seeing progress in the technique! Looking really neat!
I just love the timelapse of these seeing the frost appear. I am on the camp of *you can never have to much glitter* hehehe AWESOME stuff !!!
Yes! The time lapse is so fun! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You convinced me it’s worth a go, also the cats eye effect. My first attempt ~ scrapped, 2nd bit better. So thanx Dan
Great fun
Just want to say thank you for your tenacious efforts on our behalf! You are great! I love the sparkly blue! Don’t know why but it reminds me of my gran!
Thanks Anna 😊 🫂
Lovely freeze affect!!
Looks fantastic Daniel. Obviously the crystals didn’t disappear from previous days. Congratulations on a great video. 😊
Thank you 😊
I have that Maribu color and the others too. Love that brand.
Thanks!
Thanks so much Deb 🥰 Very kind 🥰🥰
I’m so happy you said that it hurts y’all if we skip through. I’ve done that with many videos. I usually do it with the ones that don’t show what their product was in the beginning. If I like it I want to know how to do it. With you? I watch many times just cuz your voice is so soothing after a stressful day. 😊
Thanks Amy 😊
Hi there, I just ordered the game colour fx frost online from Albury Rc models total cost with postage is around $14 , but well worth it for the awesome effects. Thanks so much for your fascinating and awesome creations and ideas. 😊
I really like the coasters. I love the teardrop with the snowflakes❤
It still looks cool
It's nice to see something different being tried
Wowww, these are cool, Dan! TY for doing so much experimenting! LOVE the pink snowflake pendant you showed us, too.
I never, EVER fast-forward anyone's video, so that's pretty upsetting to hear how many of your viewers are being so thoughtless!
Nope, still no paint in the US. UK has one, but shipping is $34! Ouch. 😆
I agree 100% agree with everyone else. Thanks for the Oopsies... I work with resin myself, and when you're trying new techniques, it's never a complete success. Even the weather can effect your work. THIS is realism🙏
You are so welcome! 😊
I agree with you, smaller ones so far
Watched this video today and I’m at a large Miniatures gaming convention in the States. Managed to snag a bottle from one of the vendors, can’t wait to try this technique.
That is awesome! 😊😊
WOW beautiful effects. ❤thank you for sharing

Nobody has this in stock right now. Guess I'll have to wait a while before I can play with these effects. I love your videos. I've learned a lot from you. Thanks.
Great technique 👏 like real ice 🧊 beautiful 🍀👍👍👍
Thank you so much 😊
Thank you!! Trying it out right now😊
Great effects ❤
I have been a long-time lurker on your channel and always watch the videos all the way through as with all the other artists I'm subscribed to. Keep up with the great work you're doing, I learn so much, thank you.
Thanks Tom, it wasn't my regular viewers, the vid got a lot of attention and people came just to see the results and then asked questions which were all in the vid, my regular viewers are normally very good 🥰🥰
Love it I am so impressed with your technique really ordered now waiting to get it 😂😂😂.
Yay! This has so much potential, I have so many ideas for it so far 😂 Have fun with it 🥰🥰
@Daniel Cooper I don't have any idea, but I am gona throw it on any surface I find to let my inner child play first 😅😅😅😅
@teaandart 😂😂 best way, I practiced on the bottom of old resin coasters, just a tip 😊😊😊
Amazing to watch
I really like the snowflake!❤
That’s gorgeous - the pendant really looks like a snowflake. I agree that the black background is amazing.
How about a deep deep blue with lime green alcohol ink or glow in the dark something….my brain went blank. GORGEOUS!!
That's how my brain has been 😂🤣 It's new so has many ways of changing it up 😊😊
Love that effect!!! Thanks Daniel… i wanted to see it happen on a bigger scale to see if it would….great job!!!!! I finally after waiting sooooo long I got my Tshirt of your macro shot and my coffee. mug!!!!! Love them both!!!! Thank you……
Awesome! Thanks for ordering them! If you are on my discord, pls send some pics 🥰🥰
Oh i am on there!! I will take pictures and send them out!! Lol…
Ooh, part 2. Ordeded the stuff ! !
That is so cool!!! And love watching every second of your videos
Yay! Thank you! 😊
I'm wondering if a snowflake stencil placed on the resin would control the way the crystals grow? the stencil would be burnished down so no paint leaked under... Oh, the creative wheels are turning!!
Very beautiful
Thank you! 😊
That is so awesome looking! Cannot wait to get my frost!
Thank you for you time and patients to be able to show this to us🤩 Love the effects results 🤩 Great work Daniel 😍
Thank you 😊
Wow!! Love the effect. I wonder if a snowflake stencil would work. 🤔
Possibly 😊😊😊 work a try
I absolutely love this effect I can't get over it man. You really found something good! 😊
Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰
Well that was too cool!
Thank you 😊 🥰🥰
Interesting stuff. Amazon UK sold out in frost plus £10+ eBay not sold out and less than £3 👌👊. Thanks for the info and content great stuff as usual mate top notch work 👌🫶😉👊💪👍🤝
Very cool effect!
Thank you! Cheers! 😊
I love the blue color with the ice. Thanks
You’re welcome 😊 Thanks Bob 😊
Awesome Daniel as always 💙
Thank you 😊
I’ve been a lurker for a while but not really paid much interest as you do a lot of alcohol ink work and I’ve always avoided that because of their tendency to fade - until I saw Steve McDonald’s test on them! So I got myself a set but I’ve not yet used them. When I do I’ll be watching some of your tutorials to help!
Anyway this technique is amazing and I’ve got myself some of this liquid arriving at some point today I hope! Thank you for your persistence 😃
Thank you so much 😊😊
Very cool
Thanks 😊
That was so cool watching the time lapse! That effect is really amazing! I love it!
Thank you so much 😀
Your technique is amazing ✨👌🏻.. I'd love to try it for sure 😍
Thank you! Cheers! 😊😊
I’m thinking a snowflake stencils would help this look sharper
Brilliant thank you my next project xx
You’re welcome 😊
This is wicked! 🤘
You are an amazing artist and mentor. Your work is fantastic❤🎉
Thank you so much 😀
Dude you have found the ultimate resin effect. Love the time-lapse. What you call hyperlux?? If you're happy and you know it clap your hands 🙌
Question? I'll reference this video a lot; showing my family and friends because I think it's cool I'll come back. So tell me should I let it play all the way through each time? Or after my address visits once that is all that is recorded about my viewing?
Thanks 😊 Just the 1 watch will be great 🥰
Thanks! Would you please show us how to do the pink snowflake in clear resin that you showed at the end of the video please?
Will do soon 😊😊
Love watching your videos this is such a lovely technique
Thanks so much 😊
@@daniel..cooper your very welcome
This is such a beautiful effect. Im so bummed I cannot find the Frost stuff. Your work is beautiful, thank you for sharing
Thank you so much! 😊
looks great i will give this a go
Thank you 😊 Have fun 😊😊
Hi Daniel. Just found you today. I love this technique you've figured out! Now to find these supplies. I love the last pendant you forgot to show in the first video (black with pink) it's absolutely stunning. I am a new subscriber and I do watch all the way through and usually multiple times. Thank you for your hard work and trials. I appreciate you 🤗 Dayton, Nevada 💜
Thank you 😊
I'm loving the new effect you are developing, keep up the great experiments ❤
Thank you! Will do! 😊
I love the snowflake coaster! Great job Daniel!
Thanks Tracy, looks so much better in natural sunlight 😊
Amazing! 🤩
Thanks! 😊😊😊
Such fantastic results. I am unable to find "Frost" anywhere in the States. I love your results. You are so creative.
I saw some on Ebay earlier, is it sold out again?
@@daniel..cooper I can't get it in America. I saw it in the UK but with $34.00 shipping charge I'm not debating the purchase.
Love your videos thank you 😂
Thanks Anne Rose 🥰
I went looking online for this and everyone I could find online is sold out until April. The frost is selling out insanely fast. I really want to try this.
I have contacted the company but still no reply 😔
@Daniel Cooper I found a company named cobbco that carries a different brand that is called green stuff and they have a frost effect paint that just arrived. I'm going to give it a try this weekend and see how it compares to your results with vallejo.
@lynn6799 yes, that will work exactly the same 😊😊😊
Very Pretty thank You for taking the time and sharing your process.i want to give it a try.take care
You are so welcome 😊
Love this effect and how you keep practicing x
Thanks Nicky 😊
Very cool!
Another great video, cheers Dan. I've found that adding a couple of drops of 99.9% isopropyl to my resin gets rid of those micro bubbles before I pour in my moulds. Keep up the good work 👍
Thanks Paul 😊 Yes, have done this before but always forget 😂
Although I am packing up my studio - some items will remain available and I wanna try the pendants first whenever I can find the ice crystal product.
It is on EBay, I saw some earlier 😊
Amazing as always x
Thank you!! 😊
fascinating!
This technique is so cool! Your videos are always so good!
Thanks Susan 😊
Beautiful
Thank you 😊
I want to see feather shapes ☺️ it almost looks like a Petrie dish culture. I really like the rainbow sprinkles. What uv resin were u using in the last video,? Mine cures tacky
Thanks 😊 Let's Resin 😊😊😊
Very neat idea, could be a bit above my level but I love it. I don’t usually do this but if you watch on double speed does that count for a full view?
Thanks Gail, yes, it will count as a full view 🥰🥰
It’s a really great effect. You’re right, it’s definitely sold out.😆 I couldn’t even get it to come up on my Amazon at all, usually it’ll come up and say “Currently unavailable.” I loved the clear pendant, very pretty. I’m just curious, did you try adding the Marabu rainbow to the Vallejo frost, like you did with the blue off camera? Lots of fun possibilities for sure. Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful ideas Daniel.❤
I will be trying that soon 😊😊 thanks as always
Daniel have you tried adding the Marabou rainbow ink to the ice crystal ink? See what happens then❤
I will try this soon 😊😊
It’s sold out everywhere.
Could you use a stencil
Bravo…
Tried to get the Maribu Rainbow ink but no matter where I try it's out of stock 😢 gutted, love sparly things
Keep checking 😊😊
Hey daniel! love your videos. I have a question!! I have been experimenting with Petri effects. Does a heating mat mess up the effect ? I seem to notice sometimes it is foggy or it has no petri effect when using a heating mat. I am wondering if its the heating mats fault or if it is another reason.
Thanks!
I did a video on this 😊. Best thing to do is wait until after the 1hr stir then place on the heat mat but it can still change to look.
Wondering if you have any experience with the Vallejo special effects “acid”. Wonder what kind of wild effects you could get with that. Have you had any exerpeince with the “acid” special effects?
I haven't tried that yet 😁
What is making the crystals??
A brilliant idea. As I believe alcohol ink would fade could you use a pigment or do you need the alcohol for this to work 🦆💕
Worth a try but the color may seep
@@daniel..cooper Many thanks for the reply 🦆💕
i was wondering if its only alcohol inks or if you can use liquid pigments for the same effect?
Can you put this in two part epoxy resin?
Instead of using alcohol inks have you tried the other colors of special fx?
Not just yet, but willing to give them a go 😊😊
All I could find is different colors no white is available anywhere. Will those still work? I couldn't find it on eBay, I probably ordered the wrong paint.
My newly received vallejo frost doesn't works. It simple doesn't crystalizes itself, it just stays watery and very runny. What couldbe going wrong? Is it expired?
Possibly too much applied
