Listen, if u have to give Doug one thing it’s that he’s got a really great outlook and attitude to these series. If I pulled 5 cubic dharma I’d be seeing red
The reason why Predaplants and Cubics are together is because they are both decks that use counters to hinder your opponent, "preying" on them if you will. Predaplants can mess with opponets levels and Cubics and outright stun an opponent completely.
The first time I ever see him pull so many good sr. Most of the time he got the sr pull but half of them from outside the pack and useless too😂 both saga and roulette lol
@@kimki04 and he still got 6 copies of that one card haha. If only they added the new predaplant cards to the secret pack and it would've been very strong
i kinda loved the deal or no deal part of the last episode, i think you guys need to incorporate something like that once in a while, it was really entertaining.
When I saw the pack Dzeef got, I immediately thought it would be insane - absolutely all of the fusions are pretty amazing in sealed, and he got Rafflesia, which is just crazy. Sad that MBT didn't pull the field spell - it would've been cool to see how these decks measured up if he did, but Preda is just a crazy as hell archetype in limited play. Well played, fun episode!
Wasn't Doug suppose to decide on whether he respins the Neos pack? When they don't point out that they are breaking their rules I feel like I'm the one not remembering it right...
I forgor Jokes aside, I think at this point we've screwed this up almost as much as we've followed the rules, and it's possible that the episodes are just more interesting if we both have to make a random spin 1 vs random spin 2 decision
Loved you guys taking the time to talk about your decks afterwards, and actually keeping it in the video this time! Hopefully you continue doing this, thanks for the awesome video.
Most of the Arc-V cards that are mostly forgotten like Predaplant proper, Lunalights, Windwitch and super heavy work REALLY well in sealed where they don't have to race against people who swarm the field every turn
I think a new rule that might help abit is is you pull over 3 of a card or just pull something completely unusable (as in the only thing you can do with it is use it as discard fodder) you should be able to dismantle it and be able to craft cards. you can balance it so you can only craft main deck cards and cards apart of the pack/archetype so you cant just craft good generic cards.
I can’t believe that my two favourite decks got rolled in the same episode. My only complaint was that it ended so quickly but still, was incredible to watch this.
What I find funniest about Cubic is that it's a control deck that is based around giving your opponent useless monsters. The funny part is that the deck is much better at being an OTK strategy because Crimson Nova is really damn good. The OTK variant only plays one "control" card, and that's Cubic wave. It doubles the attack of a cubic monster your have and halves the attack of an opponent's monster. The control part is that graveyard effect, and while it is pretty good, it's mostly irrelevant.
I think the addition of a new rule would really help this series, especially if they go back for a season 2. Specifically, allowing a craft of exactly 1 UR and1 SR from the pack they open would be a nice little boost to consistency, without being completely oppressive. I'd have liked to have seen what MBT could have done with the field spell and Templar for example, and Doug could potentially have gone into more Cubic plays if he had access to Cubic Lord which we didn't get to see. It'll be a nice way to really showcase what these packs can do in a sealed environment, without jumping directly into constructed territory.
Doug read so damn well today, it's awesome. I don't even mean this in a mean way I just mean I can absolutely see the alternate universe where he didn't read the Preda trap and blew up his own cards. But he was like nah not today and I LOVE it. I feel so inspired. Doug chads stay winning
I think it might be nice if a crafting rule was input provided only cards from the 20 packs are broken down to make things. It might provide a use for those extra cubic dharmas.
Big props to Doug for reading the cubics, making them work with predas, and pulling off the win. That’s a tall order Also gotta love the cubic love here. I’m a cubic player so I felt giddy every time I saw a wave or a Vijam get pulled. Never realized how cool a preda-cubic deck could be even after pulling for a full cubic deck
"Here's what Doug doesn't know. I got nothing" Nothing to dunk on Doug "Here's what MBT doesn't know. I haven't read Cubics before" Doug dunks himself anyways. lol
I was looking forward to the Preda pack being pulled for so long and I'm so happy Doug was able to show what it was capable of in sealed. One of, if not my fave archetype in the game
I feel that for packs like the Neos one should have something extra like, if you go for that pack you already get 2x Neos for free or you can open 30 packs
I think a rule like "If you pull another ur vanilla monster you can craft any ur from the pack" this would mean pulling another vanilla wouldn't be as detrimental
Dzeef literallysaid "the pack does come with 2 Neos so I don't know if that helps." The reason they didn't take it was because it basically only has weak fusions.
I think that next time if you pull 6 SR/URs you can crush them for dust to craft another sr/ur of that pack. If its royal the same effect stands. Pulling 6 dharma is major copium.
@@TheNewblade1 Essentially, dusting 3 copies of the same card will generate enough dust to make 1 more card of the same rarity. Once you reach 6 of the same card, you have a double playset. You can’t use those extra 3 cards and maybe you *really* need another card from that rarity. Personally, I’m in agreement. The odds of it happening are incredibly low, but with this kind of rule the 6 Dharma tragedy we just saw could’ve been slightly less painful.
Gotta say it feels really nice to see Doug dominate fairly. No cheating or takesies backsies, just pure unadulterated skill. All hail the Doug dynasty.
I enjoyed this one differently because this may be the first time I've actually played both decks (well cubic and @ignister at least) so I know what both players can do with their hands. Getting no Crimson Nova was probably a blessing for Doug so he had no reason to run all the bad cubic monsters but at the same time pulling it would have probably been a guaranteed win if summoned, the only out being lost wind and *maybe* AI challenge you.
I love when people count cubic monsters out. If my opponent doesn't surrender when I lock down all their boss monsters, they will just get destroyed when their boss monsters can't do anything to mine because crimson nova is unaffected by monster effects that are 3k or less. Then a lot of the cards can be activated multiple times per turn. I have been dumping on people in rank with them.
as a predaplant one trick, if the deck isnt full power its pretty much useless. use 10 cards to make dragostapelia trophyoverutum pass all while insta losing to any impermanence or ash, and any raigeki/lightning storm on your monsters since they have no protection is peak gameplay
Is there no rule in place in case you get 4+ of a SR/UR? Like maybe make it so you can craft 1 SR or UR from the secret pack of the same rarity of the card you got extras of. This wouldn't theoretically come up often so I don't think it'd be overpowered.
Funny how both of them started with “here is what he doesn’t know”😂
