Love your videos! Would you choose this (or a 'normal' Octavia iV) above the Superb iV?

I liked the regular Octavia iV (in ‘style’ trim level) a lot so I would go for that one.

Hello, what do you think about noise insulation? (Road, wind, and suspension noises), I've read multiple times that it isn't too good, especially above 100kmh. As this car is on my wish list as next company car, I'd like to get your opinion. Great video as always. Thanks from Auderghem.

I think the noise insulation at lower speeds is great. I didn’t hear any suspension noise and only a bit of road and wind noise. On the highway you of course have more noise, but nothing to complain about. I didn’t do that much km’s in this car, but I did a lot of kilometers on the highway with the Octavia Combi 1.4 TSi iV 218 hp and I really enjoyed driving this car. I would certainly consider this as a company car. I would however go for the “normal” version of 218 hp and not the RS version. Which one are you considering?

Thanks for your reply! I like the style of the RS version and wouldn't mind the extra 40hp and 50Nm (i think the normal octavia is 204hp in hybrid version). I currently have a superb 1.5 TSI. I don't need such a big car that's s why I was considering the Octavia but I'm afraid to loose in confort, insulation and also overall build quality which seems to be cheaper, especially the hard plastic in center console.

From personal experience, avoid paying money at least for the infotainment because it's crap (it restarts randomly which is not only anoying but also dangerous since I expirianced several times that it restarts during the parking where some of supporting tools which you expect to be working stopped working).
If you add to this that Skodas customer support was crap. First Skoda partner in my home town made apperently 3 upgrades of the system which didn't do anything and after going to second service in another town, they "couldn't" support me since I already reported this issue on another Skoda partner.
If you add to this that front parking sensors didn't work correctly and the first mentioned Skoda partner just told that they couldn't do anything about it without even taking a look at it, I was realy annoyed by the car - after serveral months I figured out that the registration plate frame (originaly installed by Skoda partner and not demaged in any way) was slightly bent which was causing the issues to the front parking sensors and the fix was easy but could and should be detected and fixed by Skoda partner.
In general, IMHO nice looking and expensice car with failures on basics and crapy support!
