I have two blankets, two pillows, my cat, and my hair dryer on for extra warmth !! Plus my ac is around 65 degrees ! Perfect ! And I have a day off from work
I have literally just described the cuteness of the same thing to my mam, trying to explain how good and well behaved Monty is compared to our little tinker of a fluffy bunny rough collie; Pepper.......who shows us his teeth when we dry his wet 🐾 after a walk in the rain before letting him in the house, n whinges n huffs n puffs to let us know how much he hates his paws being touched. Monty allows his human to put booties on each paw, so good n well behaved, not a whinge or grrrrrr in ear shot!!! Monty such a good pooch,!!!!!!! Woof woof
Can we all appreciate the effort Matthew puts to film all these angles? I cant imagine how many times he has to walk back and forth to setup the camera and retrieve it after
I feel the same way. In the middle of the night when I need to slow down my brain. I go to Matthew to watch one of his videos. I can count how many times I've watched videos over and over, just to breathe a little. There's just something about the way he does things.
There's something very comforting about watching Monty get tucked into his sleeping bag. Hope you will re-use the lean-to shelter you made, it looks pretty sturdy.

Hey, I was raised with a Collie just like MONTE! I'm 68 and still remember crying in the bathtub with my 2 yr younger brother as our mother bathed us after telling us that our dear Collie, LADIE, died after chasing a car and got caught under the car and injured! I absolutely love your channel and your love of dogs! In my 68 yrs I partnered with a Beagle, as a toddler, 2 Collies, a Pomeranian, an Australian Shepherd, 2 Pembroke Welsh Corgies, a Labrador Retiever, and 5 Miniature Dachshunds! I'll always have a special place in my heart for Collies, but I fell head over heels for Dachshunds! My 1st Dachshund, ZIGGY, loved to swim more than my Lab!....LOL. He without a doubt was the most intelligent dog I've ever known, BAR NONE! Currently, it's just me and Elwood, named after my Grandfather, Elwood Cookenbo, a 2nd generation German immigrant, my mother's father, my grandfather! I usually don’t watch bushcraft/camping videos, but my husband had this video on the TV, and I was impressed. Not because of the instructional nature, but because of the way you talk to and love your dog, Monty. I’m a cat person, but I fell in love with Monty. I talk to my cats, kiss them between the ears, cuddle them and have concern about their comfort. You show the same concerns about your dog and I immediately had immense respect for you. Keep up the good work. Kiss Monty between the ears for me.

Impressive editing. Sure makes for a pro look. Can’t imagine the amount of effort you employ just filming let alone actually building a shelter and camping on top of it. It’s not lost on me.
Caught myself blowing on the screen to help get the fire going. LOL. 1 or 2 tablespoons of oil mixed in the dough makes it easier to handle and adds flavor. Also a tablespoon of sugar added to the dough will help the yeast rise. Water should be 120 to 130 to activate yeast. Looks delicious.
Thank you Matthew and Monty for making my Sunday night an adventure - without leaving my sofa, while staying warm and cozy under my blankie, and munching on microwave popcorn while watching you build a camp fire.

I work from home and often have RUclips playing in the background. My wife and daughters have started coming in to watch the 'Crazy camping guy and his funny dog'. They love the Monty sleeping pad fights and how Posa always burns his fingers on the Great Grate.
Still love your shows...man I remember when there was like 10k subscribers,,,.now over 435k...congrats man. Your the best out there doing this stuff, can't stand the ones that never talk or don't seem like they are having fun. I recently built a bushcraft fort to go weekly for cookouts. stone walls and logs...just back in small woods, we don't have the miles of wilderness here in my part of IN so make do. We got about 8" of snow today so going out riding SXS and cookout and then will be watching yours!!!!!

U know what I noticed after watching a few of ur videos.... When Monty stands still, he REALLY stands till. Nothing on him moves not even his tail. He might twitch an ear but that's very rare. Not many dogs are capable of doing that. He's definitely a special doggie.

Generally it’s a better practice to take long logs you can haul back to camp and cut them to measure there. You get the fire wood from your cast offs, the sawdust is a nice starter, and you can lay them all side by side for even construction.

Caught myself blowing on the screen to help get the fire going. LOL. 1 or 2 tablespoons of oil mixed in the dough makes it easier to handle and adds flavor. Also a tablespoon of sugar added to the dough will help the yeast rise. Water should be 120 to 130 to activate yeast. Looks delicious.

Still love your shows...man I remember when there was like 10k subscribers,,,.now over 435k...congrats man. Your the best out there doing this stuff, can't stand the ones that never talk or don't seem like they are having fun. I recently built a bushcraft fort to go weekly for cookouts. stone walls and logs...just back in small woods, we don't have the miles of wilderness here in my part of IN so make do. We got about 8" of snow today so going out riding SXS and cookout and then will be watching yours!!!!!

U know what I noticed after watching a few of ur videos.... When Monty stands still, he REALLY stands till. Nothing on him moves not even his tail. He might twitch an ear but that's very rare. Not many dogs are capable of doing that. He's definitely a special doggie.

Generally it’s a better practice to take long logs you can haul back to camp and cut them to measure there. You get the fire wood from your cast offs, the sawdust is a nice starter, and you can lay them all side by side for even construction.
Matt: Working on building a shelter for Monty and giving him water, telling him he has done a lot of work.
Monty: Sitting around tell Matt, "hurry up its getting dark and I'm hungry, can you make me food. Its because I've been doing all the work😊😊😊"
