Huge Beatles fan. George Harrison wrote three of my top five Beatles songs.
1. Something
2. Here Comes the Sun
3. While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
But, if you think Ringo is better, I won't diminish your standing in the Rock world. Rubber Soul and Revolver are my two favorite Beatles albums. Great video.
Where as this was the point where I unsubscribed. 😯
Magical Mystery Tour is my favorite Beatles album.
13. Yellow Submarine
12. With the Beatles
11. Please Please Me
10. Magic Mystery Tour

Hey Ralph! We have similar taste.
Here's my top 5:
1. Rubber Soul
2. Revolver
3. Sgt Peppers
4. Let It Be
5. Abbey Road
As you know I'm a massive KISS fan and a fan of hard rock (GNR, Van Halen, Motley Crue etc).
My dad is the reason I got into music and he's not too into hard rock. He's more of a Beach Boys, ELO, Travelling Willburys, Eagles, John Denver fan etc.
But man, from when I was about 5 or 6 my dad has always played the Beatles around us and I am forever grateful he got us into them. He saw Paul McCartney when he played over here in Dublin around 2004. Lucky sh!t ! SHMACKEMAGOB! :D
Thanks as always for the shoutout, Ralph. Awesome video. Maybe my favorite you've done. Your passion and love for music is unmatched...!!!
Agree with whole list with one exception.
I’d switch a hard day’s night and help.
A hard days night is only album with all songs written by Lennon/McCartney
1. Abbey Road
2. Rubber Soul
3. Magical Mystery Tour
4. Revolver
5. Sgt Peppers
6. A Hard Days Night
7. Let It Be
8. The White Album
9. Beatles For Sale
10. Help
11. Please Please Me
12. Meet The Beatles
13. Yellow Submarine
Awesome stuff Ralph. I could talk Beatles all day long. Tremendous band!
I would rather stand in front of John Lennon on December 8th, 1980 than hear that one in a loop lol you are hilarious my friend. Love 💕 you Ralph!
My most underrated Beatles song ever is the criminally little known “No Reply”. Mid 60s Beatles kicked ass.
Great song , but I wouldn't say little known.
There's still a lot of people that still think that Paul died or quit and was replaced. I really don't see it. Looks like him, sounds like him; it has to be him.
ROBBER SOUL is my fave too! What a perfect expression of the essence of the Beatles.
1. Abbey road
2. White album
3. Rubber soul
4. The magical mystery tour
5. Revolver
6. Sgt. Pepper
7. Hard day's night
8. Let it be
9. Please please me
10. Meet the beatles
11. Help
12. Beatles for sale
13. Yellow submarine
Wow. Don't know enough albums to rank. This will be educational. Peppers probably my favorite album and Day Tripper favorite song.
It's hard to rank all the Beatles albums. Early Beatlemania albums you rank first. Then you start the studio Beatles. Totally different times but in the same decade.
Good one Ralph, how about ranking all the Charlie Manson songs out there...which some are very very good. 🤙
Hey, you should attempt to rank all Yngwie’s albums.
Awesome video, Doctor! 💥💥 🍕☠️☠️
My personal favorite Beatles album flips between Sgt Pepper and Revolver, depending on the day. Usually Revolver wins, because that was the album where I feel the drugs fully opened up the most creative corridors of their brains.
In my opinion, their writing (already having taken leaps forward during Help! and then again with Rubber Soul) took a gigantic creative leap forward, far past anything any other rock band of their era could hope to achieve.
Since then, pretty much every great pop or rock album got compared to the Beatles. That pretty much says it all for me.
Side note: one day I trimmed the White Album down to twelve tracks, and if they’d had only agreed to cut the album down that far and then released another five as the B-sides on their singles for the album, that would be hands down my favorite Beatles album, and it wouldn’t even be that close.
When it comes to Lennon versus McCartney post-Beatles, I felt like John was far more adventurous and dangerous, whereas with McCartney, although some of the Wings tracks in particular sounded like long lost Beatles tracks, his writing seemed far safer and created specifically for the masses, which to me is the kiss of death. Call it the Nickelback Effect: finding the formula? Great. Mining it for all it’s worth? Meh…cash grabs have never really impressed me. Lennon for the win.
SCHMACKEMAGOB! Time to listen to Black Sabbath.
Great video man. Gotta love the Beatles. You and I have very similar opinions on their material. Keep rockin🤘
1. Abbey Road
2. White Album
3. Let It Be
4. Blue Album 1967 - 1970
5. Hey Jude (USA Album)
6. Rubber Soul
Yes, Double Fantasy is a really good album! As is the quasi outtakes/follow-up Milk and Honey. Actually, like that one more as I enjoy Yoko's songs more on Milk and Honey.
Love your channel
Keep up the good work
1. White Album
2. Abbey Road
3. Sgt. Pepper's
4. Rubber Soul
5. Revolver
Awesome
Nice shirt
Although I like the early Beatles stuff, they don't rank among my favorites and I usually don't play those albums or switch radio stations when they play them. I like them better between "Revolver" and "Abbey Road". To me, "Let It Be", except for maybe 2-3 songs, sucked, especially John's mediocre material.
George Harrison may be your least favourite Beatle, but Rubber Soul is his favourite album.
And John Lennon hated a bunch of his songs I love. He's still my favorite Beatle.
Funny that you'd say that John's "Double Fantasy" had "potential" to overthrow Paul. Ironically, "Double Fantasy" packs more syrup and "granny music" than Paul's entire career. Paul for better or worse, was a more prolific composer and performer than John. Lennon wasted too much time drinking, posing as a "symbol of peace", mixing with the wrong crowds, pretending to stand up for causes he barely understood (and got taken advantage of), promoting acts of dubious talent, and beating up Yoko or May Pang. Overthrow McCartney? Probably in a heroin shooting or whiskey drinking contest, I'm sure he'd be the undisputed champ.
I will admit that the George Harrison track "Within You Without You" is completely out of place with the rest of the Sgt. Pepper's album, that perhaps something else could have been inserted there - "Strawberry Fields Forever", for example - and made it an even better piece, and that it is an annoyance. I skip it whenever I play that album on whatever format. Try as I might, Harrison's tendency to preach is out of step with the rest of the material from any album and I can't tolerate listening to his songs. However, on the bright side, it seems as if George finally got the message and he never again pushed for another sitar or raga track on any Beatles or solo release again. His material got better on the next 3 albums they put out. So, why did George Martin, John Lennon and Paul McCartney allow this? Because George was increasingly frustrated and even though his earlier material was crap, they allowed him 1-2 tracks to appease him. If you've ever been in a band, then you know that sometimes you have to make compromises. In this case, they couldn't afford to lose George.
Who's heard the ZOOT version of elenor rigby with a young Rick Springfield? Proto heavy metal
I haven't
Wow
Sgt. Pepper is the album i listen to the least. i won’t say it’s overrated but it’s nowhere near my favorite. and Ralph we’re opposite re the 1st 2 songs you mentioned on that album: i love Within You Without You and i think When I’m 64 could possibly be the worst song Paul ever wrote, certainly the most annoying.
Wierd. The older I get the more I love the earlier stuff... and you're older than me.
I agree HELP and Rubber Soul were the transition out of.... conformity of the musical times.
