Oh yeah they definitely put a crap ton of work into their cosplay. It's an amazing art, so when I hear people making negative comments about cosplayers it just reminds me of how they might not know how much effort and time and technique goes into ones cosplay and it just irritates me
Not trying to take away from how hard cosplayers work, but you have to remember kinpatsucos is a professional cosplayer. People who sculpt wigs are typically a very niche part of the cosplay community. Cos-makers are definitely more technical and some have better craftsmanship than others. That being said, there are plenty of seamstresses and MUAs that do cosplay as well. And there is no harm buying cosplay either because it still takes skill to style wigs, do makeup, and make the outfit itself actually look good. Point being, not everyone is out here making wigs like this. It is actually pretty rare. But there are plenty of prop makers and a huge part of the community that makes their own cosplay
TLDR; this would be considered an award-winning cosplay, or professional cosplay. All cosplayers put in hours into their cosplays but kinpatsu does it full-time
As both an artist and cosplayer, I get into fights with myself designing characters. It goes: Cosplayer me: that is so impractical and would be way too hard to make into cosplay! Change it and be reasonable! Artist me: BUT IT'S PRETTY~ 😂
This whole tutorial is great, but I just want to give you a big specific compliment: It is AWESOME that you display so many of your items on a cutting board with measuring lines! I've been able to use your exact measurements while following this tutorial and it's a huge help.
lil tip! for teasing the hair you might need to tease the wig with hairspray on the brush or comb! then add more hairspray and use a hairdryer THEN brush it out lol its work well on more plastic-y or cheap wigs
It's Beautiful, can you imagine if Hextian or other custom doll artist use this technique on a custom doll? That would be incredible, keep up the great work. :)
I don't know why, but i can't stop watching this tutorial! This wig look soo pretty! It reminds me about your tutorial for making big ponytails. I love your videos. When i watch them i feel like i can do anything! Thank you for your tutorials ♡ You make fantastic cosplay! I love them!
Omg I’m actually planning my Seraphine cosplay and I was just watching your old ponytail wig tutorial. Thank you so much for this video its super helpful! 💕
Daamn you always deliver such a smooth result, absolutely gorgeous :D I used the ponytail tutorial from your wig styling book for a character with MASSIVE pig tails (Ashley from the Wario Ware games), and it made the whole project so much more manageable :D
Yes it would be exactly the same as Kaisa and you can even cover them on vinyl like ahris tail :3 the Kaisa gem pattern will even work for them too! Just need to enlarge them a bit 😁
@@yukdotpng1512 Ainlina on Instagram already modelled the micro for Seraphine, i don't know if she can sell only the model she does or only the full impression (I mostly see her full impressed pieces) but her mic is really cool !

This is the most impressive ponytail wig I've EVER seen and I can't thank you enough!! It was so cool seeing how something like this is done. I may never make this specific wig, but thank you for the knowledge!
I am so glad that I stumbled across this video, because I'm currently working on a costume that has a crazy ponytail and I was terrified to touch the wig. The last ponytail wig I did had metal cross frame and a screw through the ponytail to hold it up and it hurt like mad. This is brilliant and this is going to be so useful!
I hope u can make the seraphine wings or seraphine's diamond in behind her back. It's difficult to make the pattern and how to make it as her wings it's too complicated for me. I hope you can make it as simple as you can. It's so usefull, and I hope you get the sponsor from riot to make this projects. Thanks
Thank you! Just thank you!😭 I am not cosplaying this character, but this will help me with the wig of another! Ive never actually attempted one of these exaggerated wigs, but now ive got the confidence!
this tutorial is so amazing. ill need this for my future cosplays, as i had trouble with teasing hair. tysm! i also wanted to make a custom mask of Calne Ca in bug mode, now i know what kind of wire i should use!
Holy crap, I thought wigs like this were done with just the wig itself and putting simple stuff in but noo it’s so much work. Cosplay is a lot of hard work sheesh
Girl you are an absolute MASTER and I'm so glad I stumped upon your channel. You're such a skilled crafter and from what I can tell, highly experienced in so many other fields :) Not to mention, you're undeniably pretty. Great videos!

Thank you so much! It's our first time we ever made a wig like this with a tied up base. And it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! :3 it does take long but it isn't so hard to do!😁
Can you post a longer clip of you turning your head/walking with it on, I want to see how it moves. Im planing on making my own, your tutorial is very helpful.
Another good tip to do on a lace front to make it look more natural is to pluck some hairs along the hairline so it’s a bit more sparse since natural hairlines aren’t super thick and uniform
I have no idea who these characters are or what they are from, BUt I FReaKIng loVe ThIs. I will probably never be able to pull this off but I love seeing the creativity and talent put into this
you could maybe turn the wire to a shoulder or neck thing if the character wear a high colar or a large chocker, and this way distribute weight (just an idea haven't tried it)
I don´t do cosplay so I never really realized how much work cosplayers need to put into their costumes. I´m impressed!
Same!
Oh yeah they definitely put a crap ton of work into their cosplay. It's an amazing art, so when I hear people making negative comments about cosplayers it just reminds me of how they might not know how much effort and time and technique goes into ones cosplay and it just irritates me
Yeah I do cosplay and it takes about 1 to 2 months to finish a cosplay costume.

My toxic trait is thinking I can do this with average wig styling experience
Imma try and do this for a Megara Wig
