As someone who loses about 12 days a month to migraines, it's great to hear someone talking about the other effects of them, rather than the usual ' it's only a bad headache'. It's one of the biggest neurological conditions in the world.
It truly is. I’ve suffered from migraines since I was 9. There was no relief for migraines most of my life. When effective drugs came on the market, it took 2 years with my Neurologist to determine the best drug for me. I pushed a couple of babies out without using any drugs, and a nurse asked me how I did it and I said I get migraines. Pushing a baby out is child’s play.

Ditto. I have lost jobs because of them, and in one place asked if was drunk due to speech problems. I do have other complications as well which means my options are limited. However, 2 things I'm thankful for 1) I don't throw up with them and 2) I suffer annual periods of cluster headaches. At least with a migraine, I can lie down in the dark and shut the world out !🤕
I am really glad he shared the dramatic effects migraines can have. So many people still think it is just a headache.
counter idea: i have had in my lifetime, almost 50 years, thank the gods, only 3 or 4 migraines...what bothers me is the people that say that they have a migraine when it's just a bad headache, being melodramatic, savvy?

As a migraine sufferer, I can empathize.
O.M.G. I can relate to the blacking out on stage. I had been on stage several times before. It was years ago, a small community play. A very small production. We were in the middle of a song near the end when a co actor was singing her lines and I was to respond. Well, On the first note I hit the wrong key, my co-signer got this panicked look on her face. There was a silent pause for about 2 seconds and the look on her face through me into a panic. I don't quite remember the next minute but apparently she got me back on key and we finished the play. I didn't know what happened, I thought maybe a brain freeze or stroke stroke, I went of stage, missed the meet and greet and never did another performance.
My dad had the same!!! Its really scary at the moment
This happened to my sister. She has wanted to connect with others who’ve had it and share their experiences.

I used to get cluster migraines, and I know how very debilitating they are. I had to wrap my head with cold gel packs to get through it.
There is a war being waged against democracy right now, around the world, with a cadre of dictators and autocrats who are trying to take over. We can't let them !!

Liev's story about his brain is 'good-looking like a 12 year old girl', and then the migraine being brought on by rough sex... All on the heels of his character (priest) in the play being accused of sexual abuse (I'm guessing of young boys)... Seems like a joke that got missed.
I thought it was very weird. I don't see a joke, I see a Freudian slip. Why would anyone refer to something looking as good as a twelve year old girl?
Like a twelve-year-old girl's BRAIN. Less likely to show injury from rough-housing than a twelve-year-old boy's, before drinking or smoking or drugs have impaired it.
