Hi, well explained, one question, what can happen if u replace a diode with different polarity, I mean +ve one on negative side. Will it cause exciter coil burn?
@@practicalelectrical9416 two months before my site generator blast avr when i checking controls unfortunatly one person adjusted voltages variac then avr blast then we quite three months the work after three months i replaced good avr yet we start the generator then we didn't get voltage in panel 380v so i guessed that moment it could be rectifier problem so i need your suggestion how to get through it ?
@@practicalelectrical9416 our pannel didn't show the voltage it might ve sorted of voltage we didn't check because of my site government authority if i touch anything need to ask permission i check avr is good then we didn't make sure voltage inspire we have checked panel which didn't show anything apart from power factor

Diode rating is actually determined by the amount of current flowing in main rotor.
For 50 kva normally 25 amps diode is used.
Which types of diode normally used?

alternator will work fine on NO LOAD . but on load it will not produce desired voltage.
Which condition RRA fault happen?? how to find ?
If short circuit happens in main stator or if exciter rotor is faulty .

If rra dt work then u will get residual voltage which will not be more then 50 v ac
