    Sam and Angela, you guys have saved my emotional sanity. I had started watching your channel several months ago and enjoyed the content. My husband was sick, in and out of the hospital and your videos gave me a much needed break away from the stress. Unfortunately, he passed on September 20th and I have never felt so alone. I decided to go back to the earliest video I could find of yours and start from the beginning. I have watched you from NC to TN and just about everything in between. You two work so well together and reminded me of how my husband and I would take on a project and get it done. I have to admit, there were some tears watching but the "bloopers" have made me giggle and laugh when I didn't think I could. I have enjoyed watching you teach your children valuable life lessons along the way and watching them grow and mature right before my eyes. I reached this latest video and decided to add this comment to let you know that I am so thankful for the videos, content and company you provide. You are a true joy to watch! I know it's hard to work and video but keep them coming, please!! 😘😉 Bless you and your boys. Angie

      Your comments show that video creators never know who will benefit. My story is a bit different from yours, but going through some rocky times and videos such as these are a spark of light that really helps a lot. Regards from the Ozarks.

    I wondered how long it would be until you needed the bigger shop. Don't get me wrong, I long the shop you built but even with my meager tool collection I have and want, I would overfill it pretty quick, and you have the better collection by far. I wish I could build a bigger workspace but alas that is what I get for living in a townhouse. I just get to live through your family's adventures which I love to watch all the things you guys do.

    You should increase the size that way you can add a loft. Because at some point you will have to make more space for the soap shed .
    Or find a way to combine the two to your new building. You don’t want to have 17 out buildings in the future
    You should start looking at building a barndominium with a house up stairs and a big shop downstairs
    It will be much cheaper in the long-run

    I kept looking at that spot when the pole barn type structure was going up.
    With it being symmetrically square for the most part with the work shed, I thought something should go there.
    I thought more on the lines of some kind of landscaping feature
    Sam had a better idea😊
    Don't know what the future is for the current work shed. But it's possible to connect them together at some point.
    Wishing you the best of success

They've been big hopes of ours for the last year and we're blessed to be able to make them a reality now. We have not taken on any debt for this work. My wife and I really enjoy watching your videos but one thing I think would be nice ,and many other you tube bloggers do, is actually name 😢the people that send you the amazing presents you receive. Times are hard for lots of people and for them to send you something to help you in you homestead building it would be very special to them if you actually remembered their names when you say your thankyou on your channel. You usually say ‘someone’ sent you this and that and ‘you know who you are’ and ‘thank you’ but actually remembering their name would be really nice. Just a suggestion to show your appreciation to subscribers and people who send you things so you can continue to add all the amazing things you have.

    I love watching your videos, I even follow the Sam Craft page, even though the tech stuff isn't my "thing", I think it's good to learn or at least watch. lol Just a question I've been wondering, Is there a particular reason why you decided to go with so many smaller outbuildings vs having 1 or 2 larger buildings with separate rooms for the different areas? We're buying land soon & I'm just wondering if there's a benefit to multiple smaller buildings vs just 1 larger building?

    • @GreenAcreHomestead
      @GreenAcreHomestead  7 месяцев назад

      Mostly it's because of cost. We had a very limited amount of money to work with for my first workshop on this land. I built as large of one as I could afford at the time. Angela's soap shed we already owned and paid the $400 to have it professionally moved. Those two buildings are key for our small business. We added the green storage shed after we finished our home out of necessity for home storage... again.. cost. It was on sale for a cheaper price than the raw materials to build one. Now here we are about two years after building my workshop and thankfully blessed enough to be able to build myself a "real" workshop now. :) If money is no option, go big! Otherwise do what you can as you can, is our motto.
