@@steelervette no they are sealed 6th order is ported🤦 all a 4th order does is direct band waves in a sealed enclosures🤷therefore they are just a form of a sealed box
My box has little ports so its like a cross between ported and sealed. I might delete this comment but yes I got 3 4" wide ports so it has great cone control but there is huge bandwith 8hz-65hz seem to sound so good and 15-45hz hits loud. Now 28hz is were my 2 18s hit loud not sure if that's my box tuning?
Fuck yeah this is what i miss. One of the dopest systems ive heard was your basic. 12 kicker comp vx in a sealed box kx 1000 on infinity mids and highs kicker 4 channel and alpine hu. It was badass and really clear
Im all brand matched too 1 zvx 18 dual one on 2 rp 2k skar amps, 900.5 sk skar amp on 2 evl 6.5s, 2 tl 3.5s, 4 3.5 skar super tweets, 2 skar 1.75 super tweets, 4 skar 3 way 6x9s. On factory touch 2014 Laramie limited ram with pac 4ch1 module, and skar sk7 eq line driver equalizer, all 0 guage skar wiring, 18 fared p.o.s capacitor, 3 35ah agm batteries!!! Wonder if im at 150s i dont know never metered
Wicked cool man.. why dose it look like from passenger side bottom sub behind the seat the first one looks like its hitting outta phase ? Or Maybe its the sound pressure double check either way seeet system
He wants to do SQ stuff, but his front end drivers are all pointing in funny directions, sound staging would be everywhere. It would sound like Mariah Carey was singing from under your arse.
Sealed can be louder, its all in the box but hey 6 12s in that small of a space it sounded pretty good. Imo he was so close to having a 4th order he should have just built that and been way louder. But sq was what he wanted so i see why.
The guy seemed a little nervous Jacob. Lol You need to ease up on the bass interagations. Or maybe he was starstruck, you are the #1 bass demo reporter(?) guy on RUclips. Hell, id be tickled shitless if i had to opportunity, to, quoting a good friend of mine, "rattle your sphincter" for a song or two. 😆 I bet that'd make a person do more than sneeze.
Nothing new. In the 90's and early 2000's I would dare say 30%+ of the SQ guys had sealed 12's, 15's and 18's. there was even guys running sealed 15's and 18's in DB drag.
Not at all, ported boxes blow air which in fact creates sound pressure from both the cone moving and the port breathing hense sound pressure, db is decibels which tells how loud something is not how much air is moving
can't sneeze like that in 2020 lol
We don't see sealed systems much on your channel and it's a shame. My system is sealed and love how loud they are.
I use to have sealed but when i bought a ported box my bass got way louder
4th order systems are sealed🤷

Bob Lazar makes subs 🔊
Cone control on sealed set-ups looks amazing.
Sealed for the win
But i used to do all sealed systems, they require hella power vs ported but its cool as hell that all of his stuff was brand matched
Lord Hemiram Of Mopar same mine is also matched, head unit is kw, everything else ab
Old school style. Sealed and brand matched.
Do his mids wernt working? Ashame. I would love to see more 3 way front stage SQ setups
Nice but I'm looking for 6 15 inch speaker box for the bed of a 1990 ranger xould you help or point me the way

Now if they made a ported top end to make a 4th order that would be dope

Like it. Nice build. Something different. Hits them high notes strong.

can I suggest something invert 3 Subs in reverse the polarity on three of them try that
my first few setups were sealed...4 fosgate series 1, 4 punch, then 4 orion xtr...loved them all
I still got my series ones 12in still in box from 1989 I will never sell them.
Nice.love sealed boxes.
6 15s with stuff strapped on a sealed box with more pressure ..really nice job buddy
He should just build off that top half and boom nasty 4th order

Haven't really seen sealed setups on YT in a minute... His seems loud though...
woofer opened Jacob nostrils 😆😆😆
For a sealed system sounds good Nd loud great video as always Jacob thanks
I say this every time, I hate seeing subs that close to the seats
They done move much but I bet the sound great. Love sealed.
Nice! What is the internal volume? Does anybody measure the internal pressure of boxes like this? A mechanical engineer wants to know. Lol
No way thats enough airspace
Dont matter if it bangs.
Everything dont gotta be scientifically the correct way. Live a little. Thats a lot of surface, its going to go hard regardless
I agree, property better off with just 3.
Craig Riker agreed, but sometimes extra is for eye candy
Sealed doesn’t need as much. The guy probably did his research.
ya i want a sealed box for sure
Nice set up
Seen this build a while back
Good set up just sad for the power

Good for db, not for spl
That statement makes no sense 😆😆😂
