I've wanted to use crystals and have not because of the fear of breakage. I always have to use magnification and loads of light too. My aging eyes!! I love to bead though.

Hmmm I never thought to use a crimp bead on wire since it cannot be crimped with a tool (to avoid breaking the wire). Thank you for this idea.
