(To add a bit of a headcanon/i just had a random idea) It was said that during the many battles against the empire, the Mandalorian rebel groups would sing this song as they flew their ships/charged into battle. The best known example was during the battle of Caridian VI. The imperial stormtroopers of the 213th, claimed that they were receiving strange transmissions during the final parts of the battle. With the rebels effectively cut off and surrounded, the Mandalorians began to sing this song over an open communication channel before they made their final stand. In what one stormtrooper of the 213th described as "a stand made in true mandalorian fashion. No fear, no surrender, only fighting spirit." According to the records of the 213th, heavy casualties were sustained in the battle and the song continued to be sung/play until the very final moments when an airstrike finished what was left of the rebel group.

@@charade539 funny thing that actually came up the other day while playing DnD. "Ara'novor ibic gar etyc jetii " loosely translates to "deflect this you filthy wizard"
As with most traditional Mandalorian songs, translation into Basic brought with it a time signature change from 6/8 into the 4/4 more popular across the galaxy. Remnants of the underlying rhythm survive as "unmarchable" (in the estimation of a kyr'tsad musician and explosives specialist) syncopation and the occasional triplet breaking through. Kyr'tsad and other traditionalists tend to bemoan the loss of the 6/8 signature in this and other songs, due to the cultural significance of the number 6 (ie the Six Tenets); however, when asked to perform the classic version, few were able to. Most blamed Duchess Satine Kryze for her New Mandalorian policies of what they referred to as cultural erasure, even those musicians who had completed their formal musical education before Kryze's birth. The original instrumentation is, as with most martial songs from Mandalore, "weapons and armor". In other words, a semi-tuned cacophony of assorted bladed, projectile, and energy weapons clashing against beskar. Most Mandalorian weapons have one surface intended for percussion. The significant exception is the bes'bev, which can either be considered a flute used for stabbing, or a knife suitable for blowing through.

Will you release this song on Spotify?
Are they sea shanty? or are they more like war hyms? 40K please?
This one is definitely more battle hymn… the next one will probably return to a more Shanty-esque style.
@@twinsunsentertainment Its still a good one! keep it going!
Do you mind if I use this in a character bio and/or FanFiction I’m working on?.
Sorry it took me a while to respond to this, but please do!
