Greg this is so spot on. What clicked for me was that I incorrectly thought about what the “early turn” is. I see how I’m thinking about outside pressure when it’s already too late (at the apex). Also I like the drill, it will help me to make sure I have better fore aft balance throughout. Luckily I’ll be at Palisades this week so I will practice! I’ll look you up in the near future for a lesson. ❤
I'm glad that resonated with you. Practice on easy blues or green runs to get it down then move to a more challenging run. If you go back to old habits then go back to a flatter run - start over again. Good Luck!!
Nice suggestion. In modern skiing the ski width should be around shoulder width apart. That allows for better edge angulation, when the skis are too close together you can get the same edge angle as when they are a little wider. When skiing moguls today they are close. In the "old" skinny ski days they were close.
