I have a question and also need a pro-tip. How can you play long songs with no pitch mistakes at all especially with longer songs? I'm having a hard time with a particular song that I keep making mistakes on even though I play it a lot
Okay - I can probably help with this. You might be surprised to know that the way I practice is entirely different than the way I play or perform. Practicing is entirely focused on slow, passage work, and left hand and right hand alone work, and metronome work. Resist the urge to keep playing the piece at full tempo with both hands, because you'll keep making the same mistakes. Slow, careful practice is the key to stamping out mistakes that you commonly make.

When I was young I used to listen to the pieces that my brothers and sisters would be learning on the cello, violin, piano, voice etc. and I would run to the piano and try to figure them out by ear. Naturally I was terrible at first, but constant practice is really the only key. Start by just trying to figure out the melodies of pop songs, hymns, musicals, anything, and then when you feel confident, start adding in chords. I've been thinking about doing a few videos on how to play by ear. I'll let you know if I make any.
