    Thank you for making this video! I pre-ordered the 15 inch 360 and was worried about the track pad clicking from underneath when you place it on your lap. I am very pleased to hear Samsung fixed the issue! Awesome video

      From what I can tell so far, the fix to the trackpad is my favorite upgrade. They really did a good job stiffening up the chassis this year, I couldn't force a single accidental click, whereas I can easily with last year's model. Congrats on getting one, and thank you so much for watching 👍

      Thank you so much for watching. I noticed they've been mixing it up by region. If it makes you feel any better, I'd probably take the multiport adapter and buds pro over the monitor. Well, I guess I'd feel about the same for both offerings really. The monitor is pretty good, but you can really see those pixels when sitting up close to it. Having a good multiport adapter is great to have, hopefully you can get use out of it.

      The MB Pro fully maxed out is an incredible machine, no doubt about it. Dell XPS are very nice too, just they tend to run a little hot due to the narrow air intake slots on the bottom. But still an awesome machine. I like the HP spectre x360,'s as well, except for that I can easily see the digitizer layer on those machines. But I still like them a lot. Thanks for watching 👍

    How are the texts (each individual letters, characters) from websites and MS word displayed from Samsung Book 2 Pro 360? Do they look sharp and bright?
    Is the area between the two hinges, just below the display, flexes a lot?
    Samsung needs to have their own web browser and online storage facility (not Microsoft OneDrive) in their pc/laptop in order to have seamless integration of their devices like smartphones, tablet and laptops and Desktops etc.

    • @RADERTECH

      Are the texts of Samsung Book 2 Pro 360 not as sharp and bright as Apple’s MacBook pro? Is the area between the two hinges just below the display flex/bend a lot?
      Why do we have to copy and paste the URL or send it to via 'Quick Share' just to view information on a particular webpage from Samsung phone to pc/laptop? In Apple’s MacBook, you can view webpages/websites automatically from iPhone to MacBook. You do not have to copy paste the URL or tap to phone link. This has only happened because Apple uses the same web browser i.e. SAFARI in their phone, tablet and pc. Samsung do not have the “Samsung Internet browser” for their pc/laptop till now. Samsung should also make a browser for pc in order to make continuity features from phone to pc as good as Apple

    Great video,, exactly what i wanted to know... Although the improvement of the deck flex for me wasnt a big deal, since i felt that you almost had to munipulate the way you held the laptop in a super weird way to actually make the touchpad click,,, Ive had mine on my lap/knees numerous times and ive never had an issue,, i think someone would have to hold the laptop up with 1 hand to make the touch pad click,, (which noone should do anyway,, lol)

      Thank you so much for watching. It's never been a problem for me either, but it's a common complaint on the forums, such as SamMobile and reddit. I suppose some folks handle it in ways that you and I usually don't, so it's nice that they strenghened the chassis up some. It does give it a more premium feel being a bit more "solid", if that makes any sense. It's shaping up to be quite a nice machine so far, I should have the full review out fairly soon - running it through its paces.

    Incremental for me, not upgrading. Never had wobble, my sound sounds good and I hear a little chasis creaking if I look for it normally no case sounds. I love my screen, it takes my breath away and I have Qled TVs so I know what clarity looks like, and I the screen brightness is perfect. No eye strain after long usage of doing graphics. I can easily see it on my patio. Not trying to get eye cancer from looking at too bright screens.

      @RADERTECH  2 года назад +1

      Appreciate your inputs 👍If you're happy with what you have, then most definitely stick with it, that's so awesome that you're enjoying it so much! I'm not so sure I'd be overly concerned with eye problems with these particular OLED panels. These max out at 500 nits viewing hdr10+ content, nowhere close to the 1,700 nits of the S22 Ultra. It's nice to have a little headroom in the brightness department for those times when you're in lighting situations that you don't have control over, like airports for example. These are high glare panels, so the extra brightness helps when reflections come into play as well. Compared to most displays out there, these are not on the bright side. Thanks for watching👍

    The Deck flex isn't a problem on the 13 inch.... which that was brought up. Also the main issue I would have wanted to see addressed in comparing last years model to this years model ....for a thin and light ultra portable.. is the battery life which no one seems to be addressing. I would have thought the big-little core layout of the Alderlake 1260p would enable enhanced battery life through the use of the efficiency cores when in battery mode? If I could get say an extra 3 hours of battery life through the use of Intels efficiency cores that would make the upgrade worth it for the use case of a thin and light...but I don't see that question answered. Literally cannot find this direct comparison anywhere on the internet.

      Hi, thank you so much for watching! I don't have the 13.3", so I was reluctant to comment on it. But I can say there is a major difference between this year's and last year's 15.6", the chassis has been improved a lot. Thanks for sharing your experience with the 13" chassis, very much appreciated.
      in regards to the battery life, this was just first impressions and unboxing video. I cover the battery life some in videos that came after this. I can sum it up here for you though - they're basically about the same, I don't notice much of a difference between this year's and last year's. If anything, I think last year's 360 might actually be a bit better. At least it seems that way for everyday tasks.

      @RADERTECH  Год назад +1

      Hi Matt, thanks for stopping by! I've been getting asked about this a lot lately. So in my experience, I haven't faced any issues like this at all. I've had this year's and last year's 360 since launch, and both displays are in perfect condition. The key is to not grab the laptop and pick it up between the hinges. It can bend if you do so, and can lead to the screen cracking. You want to grab it near the trackpad or towards one of the 2 hinges, just not in the middle of them. It will make a lot more sense when you have it in hand, it's pretty obvious, it will flex some if you try. I think a lot of folks are doing something like this, and it's causing problems for them. I think I demonstrated this in another tips and tricks video for the galaxy book 2 pro 360.

      Hi, thank you so much for watching! I totally get where you're coming from, and can respect that viewpoint. Even though I complained about it a bit here, please do keep in mind that it's plenty good enough that it's my daily driver, and I have a couple other videos about this panel letting folks know that I think for most, 1080p on this size display is enough. It's a very nice screen, I just wish the text was a tad bit sharper. QHD and 4K options in addition to 1080p would be nice in the future though, for those of us that prefer screen clarity over battery life. I have quite a few laptops, and 4K is what I prefer just for the text readability alone. But in turn, I also have bad eyesight, so it helps in my personal use case.

      They are improved as far as toughness goes compared to last year's model, especially the bottom chassis. However, I wouldn't consider them tough or anything, these are super thin and lightweight. If you're typically careful with your devices, you shouldn't have any problems. But if you travel a lot or have a tendency to be a little rough with machines, I'd suggest picking up something that's more in the business class of laptops, like a Lenovo ThinkBook/ThinkPad or a Dell (xps, latitude, Inspiron), as those machines are built to withstand some abuse. Very interesting review! Two questions:
    1) There are a number of reports and complaints about spontaneously cracking displays on the 1st gen model even by perfectly normal and careful use, apparently with Samsung refusing to cover this under warranty. Do you have any information or personal experiences with this issue? The fact that the 2nd gen model has more stiffness and less flexing may indicate that Samsung is aware of this problem, but I´m not sure. Will have to wait for more reviews.
    2) It´s annoying that, just as with the 1st gen model, maxed out versions (32GB ram, 1Tb SSD) are announced, but never materialize. In case of this 2nd gen model, there is even talk of Intel Arc graphics built into a top of the line machine. I for one would be very much interested in more ram or HD space.
    As professional illustrator, I´m in the market for a 2-in-1, and this has the S-Pen and therefore Wacom pen tech under the hood, which makes it an attractive proposition. However, the question remains whether such a lightweight design can withstand pressure and abrasion by the S-Pen on the display for prolonged periods of time.

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  2 года назад

      For question #1. I've seen them all, and basically it's like 3 or 4 people total that have blown up reddit and other forums with repeat posts. I'm not necessarily saying these are false claims, but I am saying that it's blown out of proportion, and most likely poor handling and care is to blame. These are extremely lightweight and thin machines that should be handled with care and respect, they can't be thrown around like a beefy gaming laptop.
      For question #2 - That's certainly an understandable concern, I was worried about that quote a bit at first as well with last year's model. I tend to naturally write more gently on it just because the screen is so thin compared to say the tab S8 Ultra, but I've become less concerned as time has gone on. I wouldn't use excessive pressure with the s pen, and with you being an illustrator that may be a concern. There are other great illustrators that use this machine though, such as Cosmic Spectrum Art here on RUclips. Oh my goodness, she's amazing! Thanks for watching and for the great questions.

      @@RADERTECH Thanks a lot for answering the questions! Your take on the cracked display issue is interesting - if one looks at ratings at Amazon, it would appear the vast majority of buyers is quite happy with them. So, I´m hoping you´re right and this issue is indeed a non-issue! At any rate, I´m very much looking forward to the general market release. Microsoft´s most recent iteration of the Surface line is very interesting and appears very robust and sturdy, but the Slim Pen 2 just isn´t quite as good as Wacom/S-Pen/Apple Pencil, at least not yet, though it has come a long way. And you´re right: Cosmic Spectrum Art does make fantastic art, both digital and traditional!

    • @pixelpusher1393

      @@JoeGillian0 Well... actually, I have some limited experience with the Slim Pen 2, as I rented a Surface Pro 8 for one month (which is a great way to evaluate equipment before making a buying decision) and worked with the Slim Pen 2 on it.
      My impression is pretty good, and it´s definitely a workable alternative, however it doesn´t quite have this refinement and subtlety in translating pressure into line thickness and/or opacity you would find with a Wacom Cintiq, or the Apple Pencil. Initial activation force is slightly higher, which means if you do very fast, small and light movements with the tip for detail work, you may experience the Slim Pen 2 skipping lines or dots.
      Initial activation force with Wacom Cintiq or Apple Pencil is practically non-existent, which is nice, and IMHO the single most important issue Microsoft ought to work on if they plan to release a Slim Pen 3 at some point.
      There´s a distinction to be made, however: I was using mostly Photoshop CS6 (I´m refusing to get sucked into the CC ecosystem), and I also downloaded a demo version of Clip Studio Paint. Skipped lines or dots were more frequent in Photoshop CS6, and barely happened in Clip Studio Paint.
      There´s probably a simple explanation for this: Photoshop CS6 does not offer it´s own pressure curve to fine tune pen response to pressure and input. Therefore, the only way to adjust the pressure curve is in the Surface app, which globally adjusts pen pressure for all apps and for the entire device.
      In Clip Studio there are two more levels of pressure curve adjustments: A generalized pressure curve for Clip Studio, and an individual pressure curve for opacity, brush size, etc. in each individual painting tool. Apparently, this compensates for a somewhat higher initial activation force.
      The other point of criticism is that the glass surface of the Surface Pro 8 is very smooth, and the pen will give you the feeling of plastic sliding on glass. A frosted surface would go a long way to give a more natural haptic experience. Initially, I felt that the Apple Pencil gives a somewhat unnatural feeling of hard rubber on glass, but now, with the experience of the Slim Pen 2, I would prefer the feeling of the Apple Pencil on an iPad over the equivalent feel of the Slim Pen 2 on a Surface Pro 8, or Surface Laptop Studio.
      If Microsoft manages to fine tune their most recent Surface line, they will have the almost ideal companion for creatives and would be filling a gap wich oddly enough one would have expected Apple to fill!
      One particular device I´m very curious about will be a Surface Studio 3 in combination with a Slim Pen 2 (or 3!?), if and when it will be released. No idea if Microsoft plans a continuation of this very interesting machine, as I could imagine the sales numbers being rather small....

      @@RADERTECH Hi, wanted to give quick input after a few days of using a rented Samsung Galaxy Book 360 Pro (1st gen): Like you indicated, I´m getting more relaxed with the stability of the display. True, the device is very thin, but the display so far seems to lend itself quite nicely for digital drawing/painting. Working in Clip Studio Paint is wonderful, as good as an actual Wacom Cintiq.
      However, there is one big letdown: I tried to use the pen with Photoshop CS6 under Windows 11, and pressure sensitivity is completely lost. Unlike the Microsoft Surface Pro 8, where the installation of the appropriate Wintab driver helped, installing the same Wintab driver on the Samsung makes things actually worse.
      It seems as if the only possible driver for the S-Pen is Windows Ink, which in turn is not fully compatible with Photoshop CS6. I´ve contacted already Wacom support to see if they can come up with an idea to bypass Windows Ink, and maybe I´ll try the same with Samsung support, but I have little hope that there is a fix for the problem in this case.
      It would therefore appear that all 2-in-1 devices relying on Wacom pen technology will not work properly with those CS6 application where pressure sensitivity is needed.

      Now that's a GREAT question! Oh my, that's a tough one. From a pure machine perspective, the HP spectre x360 has always been my favorite 2 in 1, I just love the gem cut corners and looks of it. But they dialed back the looks a little this year, so it's not quite as appealing. It's hard for me to get excited about Dell, because most of my work issued laptops are XPS's, Inspirion's and Latitudes... With an occasional Lenovo Thinkpad thrown in the mix. So for me personally, my favorite is the GB2 pro 360. I just love the Samsung ecosystem integration, and now heavily rely on the s pen more than ever since starting this RUclips channel. It helps with my workflow tremendously. They're all great machines though, you picked some good ones 👍 Thank you so much for watching.

In my experience and from other users experiences, a 4k panel takes about 30-40% off battery life. You make some very solid points, for sure. Yeah, there's that "give and take" factore when it comes to screens. Samsung is really going for that all day batter life and Evo certification, and I do agree that it does look good on a 15.6" panel, though some folks may want a bit higher. I spent like 15 minutes bragging up the display of last year's model in the first video I posted on this channel, letting folks know that it's better than what they're thinking. But, I really do think we should at least get a QHD option at this point, with the understanding that we'll take a hit in battery life. Thank you so much for watching! That's a very legitimate concern, I totally understand where you're coming from. The screen is ultra thin, but so far I haven't had any issues resting my palm on it while writing, both on this year's and last year's model. As long as your not too rough with it, I think you'll be fine for the long haul.
      If you plan on using this mainly for writing and drawing, and not so much for PC related tasks, I'd also consider something like the tab s8 lineup. The tablets can take a lot more abuse since they are a solid slate of glass wrapped in armored aluminum, they're very strong and will have no problems handling lots of hand pressure over the long run.

The writing experience on the gb2pro360 is better than on any other laptop, it just can't be touched really. @@zeds07 Thank you so much for watching. So I would consider the MacBook pro 14 and GB2 Pro 360 to be very similar in the areas that you mentioned. Apple claims 17 hours of battery life, while Samsung claims 21 (neither is true of course, but they both do well). I would say the build quality is simailar as well, but the macbook will be able to take a little more abuse due to it being a bit thicker and more robust, if that makes any sesne. The display is sort of a wash, depending on what's important to you. You get higher res and crisper text with the macbook pro, but though the GB2 360 is lower resolution, the super amoled experience is really tough to beat. To be honest, if you already have the MacBook Pro 14 and it's relatively new, I think I'd just stick with it. But, if you're curious about the Samsung ecostyem or have other Samsung devices already, the GB2 Pro 360 is tough to beat, the experience is getting really good. For portabiltiy, they're both very similar. The macbook pro is slightly heavier at 3.5 lbs compared to 3.1 of the GB2 Pro 360, but that's such a small difference I doubt if you'd really notice it much.

      So you can get a fully spec'd out 360 from last year for $750? That's a great price if it's new, totally worth it. There's not that big of a difference between this newer model and last year's model, and for $750 you'd be getting one heck of a machine. Much nicer than something you're going to grab off a shelf at Best Buy for that price, for sure. if you don't end up liking it, you'd likely be able to sell it for the same price you paid, or even a bit more. I'm seeing last year's 360 going new for $900 to $1000, and many listings are much higher than that, so you're sort of in a sweet spot as far as recouping your money if it doesn't work out for you. This year's model has a much stiffer bottom chassis and it's hard to get it to flex anywhere, so that's a good thing. If you're already in the Apple ecosystem, I'd say wait for the M2. That's one of the main reason's this laptop is testing higher than almost all other laptops with integrated graphics and are 12th gen, and it is the fastest current gen 2-in-1 out. Samsung can put any screen on it that they want, but they have an R&D team along with top engineers that test all of the options before we see them. The s8 ultra is over 2'' bigger while being very slightly higher than the s7+. even something like 3520x1980 where as on the tab s8 ultra 3840x2400 something very close to 4k. @@RADERTECH how the hell would the numpad be gone if you are just gonna put a 16:10 screen size? No logic in your statement. The other things you said are valid.

      @@lllbenjolll Easy answer bud. At 15.6", you have a 13.6" wide deck to work with. For the same size screen that's 16:10, you lose width and it goes down to 13.2", of which is not wide enough for a numpad, unless it was made for small children, ha ha. So the 16:10 screen would have to go up to exactly 16" to be the same width. A 16" panel will draw a lot more battery, I'm sure Samsung thought that through. You can validate my results with this screen aspect ratio calculator - screen-size.info/. Please don't take this comment as me trying to bash you or anything, I promise I'm not that type of guy. It's just I've been dealing with laptops for so long, due to being in IT for over 20 years, that I've truly seen it at all at this point. I'm sitting on 6 machines right now, it's always a high number around here, ha ha. Thanks for all of your inputs, I do appreciate you.

      Then make it a 16 inch plus screen. Just freaking add more screen at the bottom to replace the ugly bottom bezel...

      @@RADERTECH by the way, the dell xps line up and razer book 13 are the best looking laptops with slim bezel designs... when do you think samsung and other brands do the same? Samsung has the best technology when it comes to screens and they are behind design-wise in the laptop category.

    Don't buy Samsung! They are ripoffs. I got a new Galaxy BookPro 360 and, three months later, it suddenly could not find any WiFi networks. I spent nearly a whole day on chat with their "help" department. Every 20 min or so, a new person would come on and I had to start all over again. They kept sending me links to fixes, not seeming to understand that my problem was that I could not get onto the internet. Finally, after several hours, the machine just completely froze up and they told me I'd have to send it in for repairs. After all of that, I told them I wanted a refund as I no longer had any faith in their machine or their company. They said they only issue refunds within 15 days of taking delivery. They did not care that they sold me a $1,600 piece of junk that quit working after 3 months. They would not budge on the refund. Do not send them any of your hard earned money. They don't know how to handle it ethically.

      Oh wow, I'm really sorry to hear this happened to you. Reminds me of my trade-in nightmare with AT&T, I'm trying to hard to forget about it. That's not like them usually, but I totally do believe you. There's another youtube channel called The Digital Digest ran by a very cool guy named Ed. He just went through a nightmare in getting his Fold 3 replaced. He finally did, but it took several weeks to get them to budge, and he has a ton of subscribers and has supported Samsung for a long time.
      I've personally been using their products for over 10 years now without a single issue, but I do understand everyone has their own experiences to share, and I appreciate your sharing yours. Also, thank you so much for watching 👍

      @@RADERTECH - It was my first encounter with Samsung and it was a very bitter one. I will never buy another one of their products as long as I live. The thing that got me most was that they kept telling me that they have this policy that says they don't issue refunds after 15 days and that they were constrained by that policy as if it were a law or a commandment from god. I said that, since they wrote the policy, they could change it or make exceptions in severe circumstances such as one of their expensive machines breaking down completely after a short time. No exception could be made for the fact that they sent me the Chevy Vega of computers. I will not grant them an exception, either, of my policy of making sure they never get a nickel of mine again.

      The next version should be out just before your birthday, so this model will likely go down in price right around that time. Thanks for stopping by and watching!
