They're a lot of fun and very educational. I've been to one KTM demo day 4 or so years ago, and I agree, I wish they would do more of them. I think it's the best way to sell dirtbikes.

Yep, it's the same. The race edition is the one that's different. If I didn't already have a KTM 350 for dual sport duties, I'd be seriously looking at the 390 RR-S myself.
I'd say marginally more torque based on my feel, I'm not sure what dyno charts say or if it matters. In my opinion it's not a massive difference as both of them are quite torquey. To me the main advantage of the Beta would be the ergonomics, to me it's a slightly smaller/lower feeling bike, especially compared to the KTM.

More comparisons between this and the KTM/Husqvarna 350. Does this have more torque?
