Chaplin and Mountbatten, Edward and Will Rogers two of the great twosomes of that part of the century. Chaplins first wife was invited by Mayor of SD to Edward’s visit in 1922 but photo was destroyed when Edward came for a visit, ironically because of divorce. Edward was best man at Lord Mountbatten’s wedding.
