Characters in Fates were modelled after characters in Awakening. Selena was modelled after Severa, Odin was modelled after Owain, Rhajat was modelled after Tharja, Laslow was modelled after Inigo and I think that’s it :)
Bella Blondon No. Selena is Severa and Odin is Owain. They were transported to the world of Fates by Anankos and given new identities. Same with Laslow who is actually Inigo. But Rhajat is a Tharja archetype, Caeldori is a Cordelia archetype and Asugi is the Gaius archetype.

And the Chaos Dragon is a lot less intimidating compared to Anankos, Grima, Duma, or even Salamander Garon. And I was *so* hoping for Takumi to throw it some shade.

I hadn't used him at that point yet (as, at the time, I was only familiar with the characters in Awakening so I was a little reluctant to use other characters, History Mode changed my mind about that real quick), but that moment had me laughing so hard. I eventually decided to give him a try in one of the History Mode maps, and I haven't looked back since. I try using him at every given opportunity now. He's now my best unit at level 103 with a 720 base power Fujin Yumi. He _rocketed_ above Chrom, who was my highest level and most used character through the entire game at the time. Chrom is still one of my best characters, but he's currently sitting at level 90. I ended up unlocking Takumi's voice gallery too, and it's the only one I've managed to unlock so far within the hundred hours I've played. Thankfully, my using him so much taught me how to use Sakura, Anna, and Niles just as effectively. While clones aren't always a good thing, I'll gladly take a few clone characters so I know what I'm doing if I don't use a particular character often. Adventure Mode in Hyrule Warriors still gives me nightmares.
Each stone is connected to a divine weapon, that's why Fates have three stones whereas Awakening only got one. Another theory could be that every stone is connected to a game; Fates has three games under one name (conquest, birthright, revelation) which is why they got 3 stones. One way or another, it's not because Corrin has a higher value than Robin
They had so many sacred artifacts in the from at the end that they didn’t even need the Fire Emblem, that Chaos Dragon shouldn’t have ever had an edge at any point
FIRE EMBLEM AWAKENING AND FIRE EMBLEM WARRIORS SPOILERS AHEAD 26:59 This scene is 10 times more emotional when you realise that Lucina's father (Chrom) was killed in her timeline. By none other than Robin possessed by Grima. Even though it wasn't technically Robin's fault, (Robin was possessed when Chrom was killed remember), Lucina must've felt an intense feeling of betrayal. Robin was really close to Chrom. To see Darios kill his father like that without even batting an eye must be devastating. Darios killing his father, someone so close to him, parralells Chrom's death in Lucina's timeline. Seeing Darios murder his father cut deep like a knife. Her haunting memories most likely were brought back to the surface. Having to relive her trauma, having to think about how her father died in her timeline, and having another traumatic memory added wpuld be too much to bear. This scene is heartbreaking when you think about the implications behind Lucina's words.

I find it kind of sweet that Lucina's new voice actor got to act out a few scenes from Awakening that she missed out on ❤ Laura Bailey did a wonderful job with Luci but I also like her new voice actor's performance. She feels younger and sweeter. As someone who got to have her as a daughter in Awakening, I approve of the new Luci ❤
That was the one thing that disappointed me in the game. Like, goddammit Koei, at least give us a chance to save Darios! I'd gladly do an extra chapter (or several) just for that. He wasn't even a villain and didn't deserve what happened to him. It wasn't his fault he got possessed. (That said, I enjoyed possessed Darios since Xander Mobus does a bang-up job at playing "Darizark".)
Well, other than the fact the main game was too short (I wanted more chapters) and the Master Seals are nigh impossible to get? Yeah, nothing else really stood out to me. The character roster eventually grew on me since I figured using even _more_ characters than there are now would make choosing the ones you fight as even more difficult. I mainly just switched between Rowan, Lianna, Oboro and Azura and kept the others as support units. If they'd added characters from every single series in the franchise, the roster would have been twice as large...
DeltaSilver88 What makes the Master Seals impossible to get? The story mode hands six of them to you, and it's easy to get the S ranks needed for them in History Mode, as the missions you get them in are pretty easy.

Genealogy sold more games in japan than fates and awakening, or that's what i heard. Anyways, even if they sold poorly, they still have a lot of fans thanks to famous characters like ike in the case of tellius saga, and Julia in the jugdral saga. Also, shadow dragon sold awfully bad and is in the game.

This scene is 10 times more emotional when you realise that Lucina's father (Chrom) was killed in her timeline. By none other than Robin possessed by Grima. Even though it wasn't technically Robin's fault, (Robin was possessed when Chrom was killed remember), Lucina must've felt an intense feeling of betrayal. Robin was really close to Chrom. To see Darios kill his father like that without even batting an eye must be devastating. Darios killing his father, someone so close to him, parralells Chrom's death in Lucina's timeline. Seeing Darios murder his father cut deep like a knife. Her haunting memories most likely were brought back to the surface. Having to relive her trauma, having to think about how her father died in her timeline, and having another traumatic memory added wpuld be too much to bear. This scene is heartbreaking when you think about the implications behind Lucina's words.

I find it kind of sweet that Lucina's new voice actor got to act out a few scenes from Awakening that she missed out on ❤ Laura Bailey did a wonderful job with Luci but I also like her new voice actor's performance. She feels younger and sweeter. As someone who got to have her as a daughter in Awakening, I approve of the new Luci ❤

That was the one thing that disappointed me in the game. Like, goddammit Koei, at least give us a chance to save Darios! I'd gladly do an extra chapter (or several) just for that.
He wasn't even a villain and didn't deserve what happened to him. It wasn't his fault he got possessed. (That said, I enjoyed possessed Darios since Xander Mobus does a bang-up job at playing "Darizark".)

Yeah, nothing else really stood out to me. The character roster eventually grew on me since I figured using even _more_ characters than there are now would make choosing the ones you fight as even more difficult. I mainly just switched between Rowan, Lianna, Oboro and Azura and kept the others as support units. If they'd added characters from every single series in the franchise, the roster would have been twice as large...

What makes the Master Seals impossible to get? The story mode hands six of them to you, and it's easy to get the S ranks needed for them in History Mode, as the missions you get them in are pretty easy.

Genealogy sold more games in japan than fates and awakening, or that's what i heard.
Anyways, even if they sold poorly, they still have a lot of fans thanks to famous characters like ike in the case of tellius saga, and Julia in the jugdral saga. Also, shadow dragon sold awfully bad and is in the game.
