- Today in Moscow: the police interrupted the concert of pianist Alexei Lubimov, who was playing the music piece of V.Silvestrov, the world known Ukranian composer. The police justified the interruption, looking for a bomb.
On the Video is Alexey Lubimov, playing the End of the second set with Schubert, the first set was music by Valentin Silvestrov!
Das Konzert fand in einem privatem Konzertsaal DK Rassvet in Moskau statt,. Es ist eine unabhängige Plattform geleitet vom Kunstwissenschaftler Alexei Munipov und dem Verleger Andrei Kurilkin. Dies war die dritte Aufführung der Musik von Silvestrov dort innerhalb eines Monats, eine der wenigen zugänglichen Formen des Protests unter den Kulturschaffenden in Russland derzeit ist die Musik ukrainischen Komponisten zu spielen (die auch immer gerfagt werden, ob sie momentan in Russland gespielt werden möchten). Die Polizei hat einen falschen Bombenalarm als Vorwand fürs Einschreiten verwendet. Die Aufführung von Silvestrov durch Lubimov, seinen langjährigen Weggefährten fand wie immer mit dem Erlaubnis des Autors statt. Lubimov ist extra für dieses Konzert aus EU eingereist. In der 1. Hälfte erklang Silvestrov (Lieder) in der 2. Hälfte sollte Schuberts Impromtu gespielt werden, was die Polizei versucht hat zu unterbrechen. Aber Lubimov hat das Stück (op 90 No 2) bis zum Ende gespielt, wofür er den starken Applaus erntete. Danach war der Saal geräumt.

Alexei Lubimov: Two months ago, we announced the program, of Valentyn Silvestrov’s vocal cycle “Steps” with Yana Ivanilova and the Schubert Impromptus and some lieder. It was a planned event, and was publicized normally. There was nothing dangerous about it. But, on the morning of the day of the concert, the director of the hall [Alexei Munipov] got a call-I don’t know from which authorities-and they asked him to cancel the concert. He replied that he couldn’t cancel it because it was sold out, and that there was nothing problematic or dangerous about the program.
Before the concert, [Munipov] asked me and Yana Ivanilova to speak carefully during our introductions to the pieces, without references to politics or the war. And we did so. We just explained who Silvestrov is-a very well-known composer, of course a Ukrainian composer, a famous member of the avant-garde from the 1970s and ’80s-[and talked] about “Steps” and so on.
We performed “Steps” with great success. Then we began the second part, with the Schubert Impromptus, which were supposed to be followed by Schubert songs. But during the end of the first Impromptu, the policeman came into the hall, and announced loudly, “You have to leave the hall, because we have to check for a bomb. There’s been a bomb threat.”
I immediately understood that this was a provocation and that it was fake. So I continued to play, going into the second Impromptu. And the police were waiting at the entrance of the hall. But after four minutes, they came up to me at the piano. I was worried that they would close the piano, but they didn’t. When I finished, there was great applause, and cries of “Bravo!” and so on.
They said we had to stop. I asked why. They explained again that there was probably a bomb, and that they were waiting for the bomb-sniffing dogs to arrive. I asked how long it would take. They said 15 minutes. So I told the audience, “Please, let’s follow the procedure. We’ll stop for 15 minutes.” Everybody understood immediately: There were no protests, no political statements. It was absolutely quiet and polite.
We left the hall, but we couldn’t go back inside. The bomb-sniffing dogs didn’t come until two hours later. The police said they were just following orders, and they obviously didn’t know the music or why they had these orders. But it was immediately obvious to us that they wanted to stop the concert because Silvestrov had spoken clearly about the war and Putin’s dictatorship in interviews. [Silvestrov is currently in Berlin.-Ed.] The authorities probably recognized the name: “Silvestrov means you’re against Putin and against the war.” They probably thought his name was a dangerous anti-war symbol.
[The concert was interrupted] although Silvestrov’s pieces have been performed in this hall-just counting this hall-four times since December. He’s a famous composer, and despite his Ukrainian heritage his works are played often in [Russian] concerts of contemporary music. Even in these dangerous times.

Congratulations to this excellent pianist for his skill and his courage. The dictatorship must never find space in any country. The dictatorship can delude a part of the people into thinking that it is a good way of life but no one can be truly happy without freedom of thought and expression (freedom of speech, political thought, artistic expression), without respect for personal dignity and, often, of one's life.

It did not go about dictatorship: there was a signal of placing a bomb, they are mostly sent from Ukraine.
@@mgkos wikipedia says this was an antiwar concert. Is that untrue? If it were merely a bomb threat, then the audience wouldn't have all stood and applauded vigorously. They were supporting him. They knew the bomb threat wasn't real. The concert didn't continue in the end. Obviously people there guessed that.

Я была на этом концерте! Зал был полон!!! В первом отделении Яна Иванилова и Алексей Борисович превосходно исполнили Тихие песни Валентина Сильвестрова!

the police officers asked everyone to leave the premises for about 20 minutes, the musician suggested that they then stay and listen to the concert. but the staff said they couldn't and were doing an inspection of the premises for the safety of the musician and the public. "We are here for your safety".they also said that after inspecting the premises, you can continue the concert.

I can't believe how ignorant both the one who published the video and the ones who comment it are: the pianist is playing a Schubert sonata (horrendously fast, by the way) and the police is probably there for some purpose independent of the ukranian crisis. Another victim of the colective hysteria.
I agree. Yes, this is Schubert. And one of comment in Russian explains that there was a bomb threat and the police came and very politely asked people to vacate the hall.
Not a Sonata, it is Impromptu Op 90 No 2 in EbM. Few pianists dares to play it in such andament. Check out Nelson Freire's interpretation.

At the beginning of the video, he is playing the end of the Schubert Impromptu Op. 90, no. 1 (in C minor). As Vicki said, the faster piece is the next in this set (no. 2). The concert had music by Valentin Silvestrov (who is a great Ukrainian composer in his 80s who lives near Kyiv, apparently), but these pieces are not by him (perhaps they are encores, as the first sounds as if he might already have been interrupted).

Nudge-censorship. You disrupt a performance to demoralise and inconvenience an audience. Everyone in the hall knows exactly what’s happened - they’re actually supposed to - but you retain plausible deniability and then cover your tracks by employing useful idiots like “Marianna GK” after the fact to muddy the water even further.
This is the important thing to remember - everyone knows what’s happening and why, and they’re supposed to. There’s not really supposed to be any ambiguity. The psychological impact is only heightened by the official denial of something which is clearly so.
If “Marianna GK” is a real person rather than a bot, he’ll leave a comment below laced with “withering” ad hominem comments directed at me.

Then other police & ushers were simultaneously directing out audience.

Если поступил сигнал в полицию, что помещение заминировано, то почему все так неадекватно реагируют на остановку концерта? В российских школах же останавливали занятия после звонков с украинской территории о минировании зданий.
Теперь любое событие могут интерпретировать как кому вздумается. Машина поопаганды не останавливатся.
Так потому что это сразу было видно,что провокация ! Кто-то элементарно" настучал", потому что исполнялся Сильвестров!! Именно поэтому большинство слушателей не стали уходить! А после концерта совсем стало ясно,что провокация! Не было никакой собаки и конечно же никакого продолжения концерта! Просто грубо взяли и отменили второе отделение! Но Сильвестров, которого они так боялись, всё равно прозвучал,в первом отделении!!!
