This song was the first time I listened to fear factory because it was featured in mortal kombat when johnny cage fought scorpion in hell.
Also an instrumental version on the Carmageddon video game.
Man... I used to hate this song off of the MK soundtrack.. I even remember my dad busting into my room and saying "nice music Kyle" haha. It grew on me really quickly..then I got into FLA and Front242 and other iconic bands. Love this song but as for the best fear factory songs, I'd say "autonomous combat system", "final exit", pisschrist" etc etc. there are so many
What is your favorite FF album. I’m only asking because I’m probably one of the very few whose favorite FF album isn’t Demanufacture. My fav FF album is actually Genexus, then Demanufacture, then Aggression Continuum.
LOL! Same! I listening to that soundtrack a heap when walking to school in my teens
Same. Hearing it in the theater was mind blowing!
Yeah for mid to late 90's this album blew my mind especially living in the USA where drums this fast just weren't a thing yet.
Fast drums are a beautiful thing. That's why I love tech-death. /Andrei
"Drums this fast weren't a thing" yet, I dunno slayer regin in blood album are pretty fast 🤔 🥁
This song is a beast , this album was a massive influence to the metal scene when it came out and was the first time the stop start double kick patterns was done , the rest is history
Niiiiice, I didn't know that, I love that style of drumming! / George
What do you mean by stop start? Dududdudududududu no stopping?
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve listen to Fear Factory!😮 I should definitely go back to it though because they are great!
They have some good songs that I remember loving and this one was one of them actually!
That’s a trip to memory lane for me, when I listen to a little bit more thash😛
Awesome review there as always!!😊
Thanks! For me they weren't so much down my alley of preference cos I often go for the more modern, techy sounds and also the vocals didn't really do it for me. But it's still a pretty strong track! It's great to know we're sending you on nostalgic routes though! Thanks for watching. Much appreciated! /Andrei
You know they got a new album up right? Disruptor is pretty good.
@@aaohknsn Heard of it.
This is the song that got me into FF. Mortal Kombat!!!!!
The band that got me into heavy metal and still overall one of my favorite albums of all time.
I miss the 90s ! Good times!
Fear Factory =Metal Gods!
This is the first metal song I've ever heard, some old dude played this for me at my job. I'm officially a metal head now.
That hardly sounds plausible but ok hehe / George
Glad you joined the club! /Andrei
Oh, thank you George for that 😠
I have fond memories of Fear Factory, listened to the Obsolete album throughout high school, and even went to a Fear Factory concert on good friday of all days, lol.
Sounds like Good Friday became Best Friday haha! / George
I have a playlist that is called “Gym motivation” and FF is the band with more songs in that list (32 songs) even I could add some more fr😅 . Greetings from Dallas TX !
You stopped it at the best part !? and the song was released in 1995.
Loved the reaction! I suggest Godflesh (Life Rats… old Tune) and Faith No More (Midlife Crisis or Jizzlober)
Thank you! On our list! /Andrei
I think you guys would absolutely love!!! Fear Factory: Drones
Please give it a shot!
I was in high school when this album came out - but I wouldn’t know this band existed until about 10 years later when my wife introduced me to them. I’m surprised how much their sound is similar to another mid 90s band Type O Negative. Shocking given how their sound evolved from here.
My biggest complaint with Fear Factory is just that their stuff tends to sound very similar from track to track. Sort of like how Wolfheart has this general guitar tone / vibe through most of their songs, Fear Factory tends to have very similar drumming patterns in their later works. Not in every song, but often enough I’ve noticed it at least. It’s not a huge negative, but it can take me out of the moment on occasion.
Also barely had any connection with Type O but I'll take your word for it. Also this is the only FF song we heard so can't comment on similarity to other songs but they definitely have a patent as does Wolfheart. Drumming patterns are a huge source of dynamics in songs if used properly so it sounds like a bit of a waste to keep it repetitive. But that's all hypothetical on my end. / George
I started listening to Fear Factory in the late 90s with their album Obsolete. I had been listening to early Metallica, Megadeth, and Testament for a while but this was the heaviest music I had listened to at the time. It was a big influence on the direction my metal journey has headed more recently, getting into even heavier music like Melodic Death, Tech Death, and whatever genre you put An Abstract Illusion In 🤣. I just happened upon your channel the other day and am enjoying it a lot. 🤘
It makes me so happy to read this! You went from Fear Factory to AAI. We went from AAI to Fear Factory. This is awesome! Thanks for checking out our channel. I hope we get to keep you entertained for a long time. Don't be a stranger! /Andrei
Unfrozen Caveman Metalhead Twins. Look it up.
This style musica Is....: cyber metal
Again have had a fair chat on this elsewhere with you, so won't bore you with too much waffle xD. One thing that's interesting with this for me is it had me thinking, how much of what we view as brutality is tied up in production sound with extreme metal. A lot of the 90s stuff has what Andrei described beautifully as a 'recorded in a shed in Norway' vibe, which gives it that extremity, but doesn't make it bassy and ear-punching in the way we now relate to 'brutal' bands. I would probably say the most 'brutal' Fear Factory tracks are either Default Judgement or bizarrely their absolutely inspired cover of Nirvana's School, which they turn up to 111 and turn it into this bizarre super-industrialized but mega catchy pounder.
I'm off to listen to some Ascend The Hollow now as if they take some Fear Factory away with them I will no doubt enjoy them very much. For the first three albums, Fear Factory were THE band for me growing up. Sidebar aside from Orbit Culture, other bands I'd say definitely take some of this sound but bring it into the 2020s are Conflict (the Russian one not the UK one, who are also rad but nothing like this, being a metallicish anarcho punk band), Spoil Engine, and honestly probably the first 6 or so Soilwork albums. I can shoot you recommends from those if you fancy, you'll doubtless enjoy them based on our general natters, regardless of if you feel the Orbit/FF type connection.
Yeah, Norway sheds are great man! And do check out Ascend the Hollow, they're freaking amazing, I suggest Prisoners of the Storm or Polaris Calling as an introduction but seriously just stream the whole damn album. It cracked my top 10 in 2019. Also their singer just joined Rage of Light, who I assume you might know (Napalm Records trance-electro metal band, super cool). I think I've heard some Conflict but don't remember much as for others feel free to shoot suggestions but it will be a looooooooooong time til' we get to them, if ever. Times are uncertain, but we do appreciate you being here. All the best! /Andrei
I’ve seen you like Ayreon , Arjen is a great n smart musician !
Try "Fear Factory - Linchpin"
The middle instrumental part of this song is in the Scorpion and Johnny Cage fight scene for the first Mortal Kombat movie
More Fear Factory 1995 this song was made
FATALITY
A little resistance overcome lol
do better research when you are reacting to Legends!
Guys you literally took all the emotion out of that build up by stopping right at the drop and talked for 5 minutes and then just started where you left off. Now the climax isn’t a climax. I just don’t understand it.
It's a first listen you know? Kinda hard to anticipate... You want your bloody climax? Listen to the bloody song! Also 4:14 to 5:24 isn't five minutes... / George
Nothing worse than seeing someone wreck their own first listen by pausing right in the middle of songs, and then comment on the pacing of the song too lol 😂
Pet peeve of mine on reaction vids is the pausing. Otherwise love it
@@thewindmillfullovcorpses I get that it's a first listen. But any metal head or even a music lover in general can tell the drop is coming as indicated by the build up and the kick-roll. Come on. Don't tell me you can't tell the drop is coming. It's very obvious you stopped it just before the drop on purpose.
I bet fear factory could do a song or 2 for alien series
Good old 90s Fear Factory!
Nice reaction, too bad that I don't get the same feelings by hearing that like I felt 20 years ago!
Maybe I have one other good song to react except Orbit Culture.
Eye of the Enemy - "The Shift"!
Would be nice if u react to that one!
It's not this specific song, but we have eye of the enemy coming VERY soon! Hope you'll enjoy it!
@@thewindmillfullovcorpses i will enjoy and hope that u like the Song ur going to react to because "The Shift" is the best from them and u will going to react to it one day!
Sidebar on the Spoil Engine thing, I'd definitely say go for the last two albums post Iris Goessens joining on vocals, they weren't quite as fun prior though still very good.
Check out the version of this song by Mechina!!!!
I think did Mortal kombat come out 1994?
Almost the best song ever made 😅 ;)
Carmageddon intro!!!
Proto Nu Metal
Beer Factory 🍺 🏭
Love their first two albums. I didn’t care too much for what they released after the Demanufacture LP, however.
It's actually 1995!
Have u guys react to. Lord of the lost , raining stars ft. Formalin… u will love it
Slave labor is their best song this is top 5 at least
Easy to say after listening to shadow of intent their production is perfect and sets an unrealistic standard and good you pointed out this song is 26 years old
Yeah , compared to SoI, it's really easy to have bad production. But it was actually kinda cool Written down Slave Labor. /Andrei
@@thewindmillfullovcorpses you won't regret it slave labor is more your guys speed
It's 1995 not 2008!
the youtube video was posted in 2008 and we actually wrote on screen that the song is from 1995 half a second later! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ / George
It would be great if you guys did a deep dive into Vorna like you did with Orbit Culture.
All of their songs are good!

You don't like his vocals, So what's wrong with you?!
lots of things...
His vocals are best on the Soul of a New Machine LP. His voice is a hybrid of Barney Napalm Death and Justin Broaderick Godflesh on that record.
React to poppy pls :3
No metal industrial como se lo suele catalogar....
After I write this I am reporting and blocking you.
ok, that should be interesting 😄
Disliked cos you chose to stop at the best drop
see previous answer
Nice to see Beavis and Butthead react again😅
It was only a matter ov time until someone was gonna make that comparison. /Andrei
@@thewindmillfullovcorpses love the reactions by the way ...and Fear Factory is one of my fav bands
@user-hj2ie4xy6r then stay tuned... soon ;)
