Some people keep calling me a 'DJ,' ... don't get me wrong I have immense respect for them. From DJs, I’ve learned a great deal about musical taste, selection, arrangement, production, and, most importantly, how to keep a crowd on the dance floor. Hats off to them.
However this is "LIVE LOOPING" and my goal is to bring something different to live performance-something more human and organic. There are no samples, computers, mixing consoles, sync, sequencers, or MIDI in my setup. Every sound is recorded and looped live, every song is crafted right in front of the audience, using only analog gear, toys, and tribal instruments. 👉 My SIMPLE Setup:
Sure SM58 Mic, a Kid Toy (with cable attached to the internal mic) and Roland Juno 106 (the original from 1984) all go on a 4 channel small Beheringer Mixer. From there to a delay pedal that also has an added simple basic 1 button/1 track looping function (the TC-electronics FlashbackX4 FIRST MODEL).
