I thought it would be hard to stop my baby from wanting her paci but she literally didn’t look for it not one time when we just abruptly stopped giving it to her. She has like a sucking reflex though- so even when nothings in her mouth, sometimes when she sleeps, she still sucks her mouth. She does gts sucking on string cheese a lot though. I guess that’s a better alternative bc it won’t affect her teeth. Plus, after she’s in her deep sleep, I take it out of her mouth. Also, they say cutting a hole in the pacifiers deters the kids from wanting them. Just some tips if you were interested.
