The zx4rr for the US does not make sense. But for other countries where you're restricted to certain cc depending on your license, the zx4rr is a game changer, especially in Europe. Even for Canada where the insurance here is a scam, it's $350 a month for the RS 660 VS $130 a month for the ZX4RR. Now the difference of $220 may not seem like a lot, but it can pile up over the years on what you end up paying for a motorcycle. genuinely, what is with the end bit? Aprilia really is known for being not that reliable, especially compared to a big 4 bike. im not throwing shade, im seriously just asking, because ive never owned a kawi or an Aprilia. if you gotta take your rs660 to the shop every other month for some sort of leak or something not working, but only need to take a kawi in to get the tires balanced, then I think id go with the kawi.
Amazing video like always but I don’t see how these bikes are very comparable. Ones a 400 the others a 650. Right there I already think there to different to be comparing with each other. But I do see reasons to get both for the price you might as well get the aprilia. Bigger engine more power. But there’s also reasons you would want a 400. So then just get the zx4 rr

The ZX4-RR is expected to be priced at around $20K here in New Zealand, the ZX6-R was $20K in 2019... it's now $25K 😢 The RS660 was $19,200 in 2021 its now $21,200. I had a few ninja before, 2017 400r, 2019 636 and and 2024 300r …. Really not sure if I should go for another ninja or just get the RS660
@adobomoto Been watching some of your ZX-4RR content and one thing you don't compare is cost of ownership. Insurance costs here are a BIG jump between a sub 400cc bike and anything above the 400cc threshold. Are those 250cc worth more than double the insurance cost?
I think the technology can be a hindrance at times. I think most people don’t even realize what half that tech is. Although in 2023 wtf to any manufacturer who is still using old display systems. You can’t tell me it’s not just as cheap it put a new digital display on these bikes. Even my china bike as a colored display.
Man, it aint even close. That 4RR is a joke when compared to the RS660. And that you NEED to spend $$ to flash the 4RR to get what you paid for is even more BS. The only good thing the 4RR has is aftermarket support and cost. Insurance is even cheaper on the 660 (at least the Tuono660)
If you want a liter bike start with a 600 first. The zx6r was a bigger step than I thought when I first got on it. The bike feels like it is ready to run compared to the 400. A 1000cc bike will be a rocket ship in comparison to the 400. But you mostly get a liter bike for the tech more than the power. It has way more power than you need for the streets and your insurance will skyrocket. Get the RS 660 if you want the most amount of power you will actually need for the street and it will still feel really fast.
If only i had the freakin money to buy aprillas and maintain them. I love the look of the RS660 seen it for the first time sa event. Napaputangina ako. Its a middleweight class of its own but my wallet does not like it hahaha!
The rs660 is a great bike and tbh i don't think the zx4rr was ever meant to be an American Market bike to me it seems it was clearly made for the euro Market and to be A2 compliant (48 horsepower but you allowed to limit it to 48 if it doesn't have over 96 horsepower originally) and the steel frame is too save on costs
If you kept all the electronics and unnecessary bullshit off the Kawa and gave me an aluminum frame and better suspension I would consider it, my Honda CBR 400RR from 1990 came in at 360lbs.
RS660 has an incredibly wide seat. Feels like sitting on top of the bike vs inside. The quality on Aprilia is just poor all around. Buddies '22 RS660 spent more time in the shop after initially buying it than time spent riding. Started with the quick shifter, then was a water\oil pump needing replaced and that took months. Once finally up and running, mods are just insane cost wise. Want it tuned? You'll be piggy backing off Austin Racing for tune and the cost for exhaust and install if you're not doing it yourself is insane. For a low HP overpriced bike it's just ridiculous. There's also maintenance which exceeds Yamaha, Kawasaki, BMW, and Triumph. I would never buy an Aprilia. If you want to go down that path, do it right and get a Ducati.
The 660 is a twin - closer to a supertwin, not a supersport. If it was between the gsxr750 and the rs660, I’d go rs660 cuz it’s the bike I won’t see at a two wheel tuesday…not that I ever go to those, but you know what I mean. I ride an RSV4 because it’s not an s1k, or panigale 😂
Dumb pick. RS660s are hard and expensive to maintain. There's no real advantage. That said, I CAN understand people who go for the RSV4 over the ZX-10R...
"... what do you get with the RS660 that you don't get with the ZX4 RR?" (A.) Respect‼ The RS660's power to weight ratio, coupled with its 6 axis inertial sensor (IMU), and its more tunable suspension (front and rear), and more, just make it the more desirable bike on so many levels.
😂 I own both and that ain’t true unless your talking aftermarket parts but oem to oem not even close I’ve spent wayyyy more on the 400 even the insurance is more expensive. The price of one ninja 400 wheel alone is more than both rs660 wheels you can fact check me if you want
Yezzir. Thats why i went for the Rs660 🙌💯 almost a year of ownership and its a blast to ride! It's more than enough for the street and track for me.

I had a few ninja before, 2017 400r, 2019 636 and and 2024 300r …. Really not sure if I should go for another ninja or just get the RS660
Lol you called it an RSV4 at least three times
😂..damn
@adobomoto Been watching some of your ZX-4RR content and one thing you don't compare is cost of ownership. Insurance costs here are a BIG jump between a sub 400cc bike and anything above the 400cc threshold. Are those 250cc worth more than double the insurance cost?
Yeah, that definitely varies. That’s why i just stick to the numbers from the manufacturers. I pay $90/mo for my rsv4 full coverage
Hmmm, slow (lightweight) bike, super power/weight ratio. Superb suspension - designed to be a Tuono 1100 downsized. I love mine!
As a beginner I doubt that the 660 is the better choice for me
I don't get the tft hype, it just shows your speed and rpm brighter 🤨
😂😂😂 you ever seen the cbr600rr dash?
@@adobomoto oh hell nawww use any other example, the cbrs are the worst
I kinda agree but the sound is the one thing you will buy the zx4rr, 😅
This aprilia guy hates everything that is not aprilia😅
😂😂 i love all bikes
just out of curiosity why compare the zx4rr instead of just the base zx4r?
I think the technology can be a hindrance at times. I think most people don’t even realize what half that tech is. Although in 2023 wtf to any manufacturer who is still using old display systems. You can’t tell me it’s not just as cheap it put a new digital display on these bikes. Even my china bike as a colored display.
😂😂😂😂
Man, it aint even close. That 4RR is a joke when compared to the RS660. And that you NEED to spend $$ to flash the 4RR to get what you paid for is even more BS. The only good thing the 4RR has is aftermarket support and cost. Insurance is even cheaper on the 660 (at least the Tuono660)
Fact: Kawasaki made a better bike in 1995 with the ZXR400s. They kept those in Europe because the American market just wasn't going to buy them.
Yo I’m hopping off the ninja 400 after a year, it’ll probably be a track bike. Should I go RS660 or Liter bike?
If you want a liter bike start with a 600 first. The zx6r was a bigger step than I thought when I first got on it. The bike feels like it is ready to run compared to the 400. A 1000cc bike will be a rocket ship in comparison to the 400. But you mostly get a liter bike for the tech more than the power. It has way more power than you need for the streets and your insurance will skyrocket. Get the RS 660 if you want the most amount of power you will actually need for the street and it will still feel really fast.
Aprillia dominates on every category… those bikes are just amazing…
If only i had the freakin money to buy aprillas and maintain them. I love the look of the RS660 seen it for the first time sa event. Napaputangina ako. Its a middleweight class of its own but my wallet does not like it hahaha!
😂😂😂 mahal nga
@@adobomoto specially here in the PH. retails for 860,000
When will we see the 4RR's LCD dash through your gopro ? @adobomoto
The rs660 is a great bike and tbh i don't think the zx4rr was ever meant to be an American Market bike to me it seems it was clearly made for the euro Market and to be A2 compliant (48 horsepower but you allowed to limit it to 48 if it doesn't have over 96 horsepower originally) and the steel frame is too save on costs
the zx 4rr isn't for A2. i m from IT and here is only with 77 hp.
italy has shit laws tho im saying majority of eu @@maxduo4696
Have a CBR600RR with only one MOD…starlane DAVINCI 2 X SERIES Dashboard …holy god thank you…for a 600 class you will never ever need other mods
literally everyone has been telling me not to get an Aprilia 😥 lol “its unreliable, its gonna burn a hole thru your wallet”
What if I'll buy an aprilia rs660 tomorrow? idk if this video was a sign lol
The zx4 rr would save me $2K /year in insurance because it's under 500cc and for a cheap guy like me that's good enough a reason.
An MT07 would also have as low insurance and has way more usable power. Insurance is only higher on sport bikes bikes people crash them often.
what category does the rs660 fit into for race organizations? like wmrra and motoamerica?
The rs660 is the reigning supertwin champion in motoamerica. The championship race finished with 3 rs660’s
the main reason is you're aprilia lover
Shit. If adobo goes for the 660 then I go for the 660
2:00 you called it a rsv4 lol
bro you said rsv4 is 11k WHERE THE FUCK CAN I GET THAT DEAL BBG
WTF!? That Ninja needed to be 350lbs or less!
You said if you could have any 600 it'd be thr gsxr750 does that hold up against the rs660
I don’t think I’d ever own a gsxr750 though..it’s the best in between, but I’d get an r6 long before a gsxr750
Dumb pick. RS660s are hard and expensive to maintain. There's no real advantage.
That said, I CAN understand people who go for the RSV4 over the ZX-10R...
What about upcoming 440
Yeah I'm picking the zx6r🤣
"... what do you get with the RS660 that you don't get with the ZX4 RR?" (A.) Respect‼
The RS660's power to weight ratio, coupled with its 6 axis inertial sensor (IMU), and its more tunable suspension (front and rear), and more, just make it the more desirable bike on so many levels.

I've tested RS660 a while ago. Great bike, just sounded sh!t.
400's price of ownership is better...
😂 I own both and that ain’t true unless your talking aftermarket parts but oem to oem not even close I’ve spent wayyyy more on the 400 even the insurance is more expensive. The price of one ninja 400 wheel alone is more than both rs660 wheels you can fact check me if you want

I do not recommend buying new starter bikes. You’ll out grow them in months and definitely long before it’s paid off. Buy used for your first bike
I agree, the price is a 600. Just get a 600.
